A few days later, the owner called asking if I could move my time from 11:30 to 11:15. The business is located in a professional center. I arrived at the updated time, but the door was locked. When I called, the owner explained she was running late and was on her way. I was frustrated, as I would have preferred to keep my original time. She arrived eight minutes late and did not acknowledge or apologize for the delay. The henna itself took about five minutes. It was a simple design, and she mentioned that more elaborate designs--like the samples displayed on the walls--could cost up to $80. She advised me to avoid soap, water, and lotion for 24 hours, and said it would take roughly 30-40 minutes to dry. When I got home and changed my shirt, the ink began flaking off. I strongly recommend wearing a button-down shirt if you get a henna done here. As shown in my photo, the stain is not uniform; some areas are noticeably darker than others. I've had several hennas in the past--many done for free at events and one paid for while on vacation--and this is probably the poorest quality in terms of the stain. While I liked the design itself, I'm unlikely to return due to the inconsistent ink quality and the owner's tardiness after asking me to adjust my appointment. In addition to hennas, the business offers waxing, threading, facials, and makeup services.

First off, it has been very difficult to get in touch with anyone to make an appointment. I called last Saturday, no answer. I thought maybe they were just busy so I drove up there to see if I could walk in. When I got there the door was locked, no one was there so I left. Later on, I called several times to make an appointment and then finally someone called me back days later to allow me to schedule an appointment. I finally went to my scheduled appointment and everything was fine until it was time to pay. I asked if I could use Apple Pay. I was told no it charges more fees but could use chip instead. My card declines twice. I tried 2 other cards which were also activated, used before and were also declined. I called my bank and the bank says the card isn't activated. The bank activated my card and then they tried the transaction again. Declined again. The owner gets very upset, starts yelling at me and the bank rep because she thinks she's getting charged fees every time it declines. The rep is telling her that only two attempts are shown but they are unprocessed so there wouldn't be a charge. Only charges apply to processed transactions. I tried the two other cards using chip and tap on the Square device and all were declined. At this point I'm pissed off because I have money in the bank and this isn't my problem! I even showed her my bank balance so she knew I have money in my account. I probably didn't need to do that, but I had hit my frustration level. I suggested to her that maybe something is wrong with the Square, maybe it's a bad connection and it's timing out. She says no it's fine it's been working before me. I feel extremely annoyed because I just came to have a service done and pay for my service like I always have and go on with my day and get back home to my family. I even asked if I could just pay her via Venmo or Cashapp or Zelle. She said no. She doesn't have any of those. So finally, I ask if I can just try the Apple Pay system and tap my phone and guess what--it worked. So whatever fees she was trying to get around paying, she probably had to pay anyway somewhere along the line. I gave her a very generous tip, which in hindsight, I definitely should not have. Moral of the story: Don't put up with anybody's CRAP! If business owners you deal with aren't clear and professional about communicating their expectations for their customers when it comes to payment especially, then be sure to ask up front so that you're prepared or don't even bother with them and go somewhere where you won't have to deal with this type of crap. It's no different than owners posting "cash only" or "no Apple Pay" or "No Amex" etc. on their doors and at the checkout desk so people know the expectation from the very beginning. Business owners, please know the details about the payment systems and devices you are using. This was supposed to be a quick, painless and drama-free experience as it had always been for me in the past, but unfortunately I didn't get that this time around AND paid for it WITHOUT a thank you nor an apology. Just plain rudeness and extreme unprofessionalism. On top of it, another customer came in behind me and the lady who provided my service started talking shit about the situation to her! It's sad and disappointing, but it's definitely not surprising. It's quite apparent to me that the professionalism has been lacking at this establishment over the years and it all came to a peak today. It saddens me to have to leave this review and go elsewhere, but I WILL NOT be yelled at and abused by anyone, especially where I spend MY hard-earned money. I know for a fact there is plenty of talent in this area that will provide exactly what I need without the unprofessionalism, hassle and the abuse. My time and my money is just as good and just as important as anyone else's! Take heed and proceed with caution.

Poojah (spell check the name) is the Tech/Manager at this branch. It's safe to say I adore her and her skills. I showed her the pic I usually showed new Techs and after a consultation of my own brows, she directed me on how we could achieve the look. I've had 'brow techs I've reviewed on how gentle their service was but! Nothing prepared me for Poojah's skills! About five minutes in, I saw her bringing a mirror for me to check and was taken back because I didn't realize she was finished. I FELT NOTHING. I barely felt her hands around my 'brow area and I thought the consultation was still happening. If pain is your deterrent for getting your 'brows threaded, I encourage you to give Poozar (and I'm assuming any other branches owned by Rhea) a chance. Plus she's so kind! The shop is clean and had a faint scent of burning incense (love that!) December 31st 2024 and my thread cost $15. Booking through Yelp, seamless. I even got my loyalty card so ya know... Eyebrow threading is only $15 and she really took her time. My appointment was with dhaka she was amazing and super nice. Its a clean place inside phoenix salons and easy to find their suite is the first one on the left. Even though this spot is a 45 min drive from my house, i will definitely be coming back!
