More than five years later, the hall bathroom still does not have a completed tub or shower. Throughout this entire process, there has been excuse after excuse, promises that the work would be finished, and repeated commitments that were never honored. Delays can happen on any construction project, but five years is beyond unreasonable--especially after being paid in full. Communication has been inconsistent, and every time it seemed like there was finally going to be progress, another excuse would follow. If you're considering hiring this contractor, I strongly recommend getting everything in writing, avoiding full payment until all work is completed to your satisfaction, and carefully considering whether this is someone you want to trust with your home. I hope this review encourages the contractor to finally make things right, but more importantly, I hope it helps other homeowners make an informed decision.

Jesus Edwin Peña DID NOT START WORK UNTIL April 7 2025 ALMOST 3 MONTHS LATER! He originally told me the project would be completed within 8-10 weeks! As of October 20 2025 the project I hired Jesus Edwin Peña to do is about 98% finished! Throughout this project we were living out of the garage as our whole entire house was dismantled!! WE DID NOT EXPECT THIS TO GO ON FOR 9 MONTHS! NOT ONE TIME did Jesus Peña work a 40 hour work week or did any of his employees ! If his employees did showed up they were only at my home for a few hours & in most cases did NOTHING! Jesus even asked me to pay his SUB CONTRACTOR $2,000 otherwise his electrician wouldn't come back over to finish because Jesus Edwin Peña was not paying him! Jesus Edwin Peña never showed up on scheduled inspection days instead choosing to have his employee be here to interact with the city inspector causing us to fail many inspections! If & when Jesus Edwin Peña would answer his phone or even show up at my house after days & weeks with no work being done I would express my frustration with his INCOMPETENCE & FAILURE TO COMPLETE THIS PROJECT IN A TIMELY MANNER! I checked his contractor license before I hired him & decided to check it again & it is CURRENTLY SUSPENDED! I made a complaint with the California State licensing board and with his bond insurance company. I made a call to manufacturers , it was cuz materials weren't ordered! Fact: we now have less cupboard space cuz measurements were wrong! Fact: I had to hire a different contractor to finish work cuz Eduardo said "it's your fault for changing "... We NEVER changed anything! Fact: I had to hire a professional to redo our grout and flooring cuz it was installed so poorly. Fact: I had to hire a plumber to redo plumbing because Diverse installed new plumbing incorrectly! Eduardo will say " you didn't give us a chance to make things right" ! You had already installed incorrect the first time AND I definitely had NO trust in your abilities to make it right! We had several water leaks, hot water instead of cold in our laundry room and many other problems because Diverse installed incorrect! Fact: I had two inspectors and two different contractors all saying that our remodel was done by someone who clearly did below average quality workmanship. We spent well over $140,000.00 with Diverse Home Concepts for a poorly constructed kitchen remodel ! I've left off many more things that went wrong, I only hope that if you use this contractor, you trust your own instincts and stay diligent with them!
