If you are in search of precision this is the place. initially hired cabinet installer to also install countertops/backsplash using quartz. Price was reasonable; however, I seen the "seams" of their work and I was hesitant but didn't want to spend over $10k for countertops/backsplash. I kept inquiring if the "seams" would be noticeable and cabinet installer said yes. Cabinet installer said it would be like picture #1 (his work). Knowing I would not be happy, I searched and many businesses told me the same. Seams are not able to be hidden, which is true. Contacted Preferred and spoke to John. He said his company will also show seams but they do there best to blend it in. I asked for pictures of other clients and was impressed. The price was almost the same as cabinet installers price ($1k more) but I'm willing to pay for quality. During the installation, Aaron the fabricator, found that the cabinet installer had installed our cabinets crooked. Aaron did not want to take the measurements until the cabinet installer corrected it. That put me at ease knowing that I had a perfectionist installing the countertop. The cabinet installer would not correct it, so Aaron did his best to straighten out by telling us what we could do to correct it ourselves. It worked. 10 stars for this amazing business!! So we had a luxury-vinyl-flooring-gone-bad situation. We needed new flooring asap!!' John came highly recommended by our son who had used him for his new home. So we called. and we're so glad he returned our call. Communication was excellent. Phone calls were always returned. John was present when he said he would be. Texted us if there was an issue. We explained our situation regarding our old floor, and he was willing to help us out. We had a bad experience with a previous installer so we had many questions about the flooring, the installation process, the different types of flooring. He brought us samples and was willing to leave them for a couple of days while we decided which one we wanted. He was very honest and open with us. Discussed our options and made us feel very comfortable right away. That's just the beginning! Then we meet the installers. Gerardo and Juan, who are exceptional and professional. It's an art the way they work. They were meticulous, yet worked fast and accurately. They're a well-oiled machine! By the end of the day, you'd never know work was being done at our home because there was no mess. They left it clean with no trash or equipment lying around. They came across an issue where in the living room they the previous installers overlayed the new luxury vinyl over our existing engineered wood floor, despite having paid them a demo fee to remove all existing flooring. Although that was the only room, we were shocked nonetheless. There's a sense of trust you develop when you hire a contractor to work on your home. So when you discover something like this, it's disheartening. Gerardo and Juan did a superb job in removing the wood and did an amazing job. John recommended we use a laminate floor this time, and we're so glad we did. The supplier he uses has the best quality. It came out so beautiful! We asked if we could find our own flooring from another company, he was okay with that. But we don't regret using his supplier, Republic Flooring Laminates. I highly recommend John. He's such a cool guy. Very courteous and pleasant to speak with. A family man who puts them first. His 4 -year-old son accompanied him a couple of times and was very comfortable hanging out with us. These guys started off great. They were timely, and professional until the porcelain backsplash slab was installed. After the install we noticed that there was a cracked piece that they tried to fix with an off-white filler, but did not tell us about. We have contacted both Daniel and Ben on multiple occasions to get this fixed, starting on 12/31/23, only to be told they would come and fix, but they have not. They have stopped answering texts. We bought a home that had pre existing laminate floors in the living area but carpet in the stairs and upstairs rooms. With young kids, we really needed something that was easier to clean for spills and wasn't as prone to wear and tear. We also wanted a more updated look for the home. The tricky part was trying to get this done in a timely manner before we moved in. Ben was so great and came out with a ton of floor samples for us to look at inside the home and gave us plenty of information on their SPC flooring. They started immediately the day after we got keys to our home. This was during the week of Christmas and they were so great about starting on time every day (and even worked Christmas Eve to our surprise) and finished the project quickly so we could move in before the new year. Our 4 year old is already testing the new floors quite well (we've already had some water spills, cereal spills, and stools being pushed around). No scratches and easy to clean! We finally decided to remove the icky carpet in our home replace with luxury vinyl. We had Preferred Countertop and Flooring do the installation based on recommendation from System 1 Interiors (another excellent contractor). Owner Ben did advise that we could supply our own vinyl but when we looked for vinyl, we couldn't find anything we liked so we went with a product Preferred uses. Ben was responsive, provided detailed information regarding installation, quality of vinyl, etc, provided the estimate in a reasonable time frame and charged a fair price.
