The vendor was instructed to leave the pine cuttings as they were being donated to a local artist. Lazer Scapes took them. There was extensive damage done to our side and back yard from their equipment as well as driveway damage. I had to follow up to have them fulfill their contractual obligations and still did a half ass job. Random vendors showed up to make "repairs" with no notice or scheduled time. We were ensured sod, got a sprinkle of seed. And zero patching of the driveways was completed. Save yourself the headache, and frustration and go with someone else. I wish zero stars was an option.

The offer was more than fair. Once I confirmed to go ahead with the project, they arrived the same day to do the bulk of the work. The tree was successfully brought down despite there being power lines in the way, with no property damage or any accidents. Some logs were left behind, but they were removed several days later as is often the case with jobs like this. Other than a small divot in the lawn where the tree came down, you'd hardly know the tree had been recently removed. So overall, very happy with the work done. That being said, whenever you hire a contractor to do something like this, always get everything (including the price, timeline, specifics and their signature) written down to cover yourself. I'm not victim-blaming the negative reviews here, but cynicism and paperwork are your friends.

Being from California, the concept of trees, vast open spaces of land, and inclement weather are foreign to me; I needed help. My lawn was too big to mow myself; and I didn't want to add another chore to my bf's house upkeep list. We received a flyer in the mail from Highwood Landscaping offering a discount so I decided to test them out. Lawn mowed; no problems! After that test run, we kept them on for scheduled mowing, and I've been nothing but pleased. Then the Fall hit, the leaves were everywhere, everywhere, everywhere! We don't have this many trees in Cali! I never knew it could become such a problem. My lawn was definitely bringing the value of the neighborhood down, as it had become such an eyesore covered in leaves. But luckily, Highwood could take care of my Fall Cleanup as well. Phew. Fortunately they had fallen on the ground, causing no property damage. I called Andrew, of Trout Brook Landscaping to take down the damaged branches. Andrew has done tree removal previously on my property and on my parent's, so I knew he would be the perfect man for the job.
