When the broken thing is finally fixed, it's not a surprise when, gosh sir, it ended up being more expensive than we expected because of blah, blah, blah. Modern Mower is clearly doing it wrong: 1) I dropped off my snowblower on Saturday. 2) They told me it would take about a week and a half for it to be done. 3) They told me it would cost about $125. 4) On Tuesday, I got a text telling me that it was done, and it only cost $42. Holy crap, man. This is amazing. I almost want to drop something off that doesn't need to be repaired, just so they can get more money out of me. I feel guilty about how cheap and fast it was. Just being open on Saturday would've been enough to attract my attention. But, seriously, if you're taking your mower or snowblower anywhere else to be repaired, you're probably getting ripped off.

Since she wasn't much help and very rude at this point, I asked to speak with Joel and mid sentence of me asking she just throws me on hold. I was referred to this place but if this is the experience I MIGHT get every time..... I'd rather drive an extra 23mi for better service and not threatening to give my stuff away over pricing confusion!

I had a different company quote the job which included taking down the tree and removing plants in the area. I tried to cancel the job, because I wanted to hire the other company. But they showed up at my house so fast. Dylan assured me that they could pull up the plants. They took down the tree. The crew was largely unsupervised. They pulled out the plants, but left the roots. They also pulled up all of my hard wired landscaping lights. They have crazy unresponsive and so many excuses. The crew left discarded bottles and cans all over the property. I am working on filing official complaints and filling with the court, but what a pain. I don't want to do any of this. However, I do want my landscaping lights to be working again. They completely destroyed my back yard. And this job was $5,500. My mistake, paying them before I fully inspected the work. But were they quick get the money. They really took advantage of me. I strongly don't recommend hiring this company. And it really is a shame because this was easy, easy to fix. And they do need to supervise their team. And do not stand by their work. They aren't registered with the Better Business Bureau. Nor I have I found their licensing company. So not good signs.
