Go for a drink and watch the game but don't eat here. We were looking for a quick meal on a fairly quiet evening. Browns Social House was on one side of the parking lot and The Canadian Brew House on the other. We'd been to BSH lots of times so we thought we'd try the Brew house. We entered and sat ourselves at a table on the patio with a few other customers. After waiting 10 minutes or so the server came to our table, introduced herself and asked us about drinks. We both requested water. Several minutes later a different server arrived with a drink (alcohol) and water. We let her know the drink was not ours. About 20 minutes later our server came back to take our order, which she wrote down and then read back to us. Again she asked about drinks. We waited for quite some time for our meal. When it arrived, via a different server, the order was wrong. My food - Beef Stroganoff arrived with our Garlic Knots but my husband had ordered a burger and ravioli came for him. The server took it back. We ate the garlic knots which were good. When the knots were almost gone our server returned to explain she'd made a mistake and that the burger would be out soon. She asked us if we wanted drinks. My husband insisted I eat. I was excited for the creamy goodness of beef stroganoff with prime rib but unfortunately my meal included burnt mushrooms, extremely dry prime rib, was really dry and of course cold. Such a disappointment. I ate it because it was the only meal I'd happen to have that day and I was hungry. After a while our server showed up to ask us about drinks and take the garlic knots plate. I ate as slowly as possible but I still finished before the burger came. The burger arrived and was mediocre to say the least. When she delivered it our server asked if we wanted drinks. At the end of the meal we had to seek her out to get our bill. There was no questions about the enjoyment of our meals or the mistakes that were made. We tipped because in this day and age it's the thing to do but there's no way we'll go back. read more

Went to two "events" at the Okotoks location last year 2018. 40 oz steak night and deep dish pizza. The steaks were tougher than shoe leather! Grizzle/fatty. Salad was warm and soggy. Definitely not an enjoyable dinner with a group of friends. Service was slow with drinks. Thought we would give another try on the deep dish pizza night. Even worse than the steak night event. Pizza was still frozen in the middle for all 7 of us. Staff comped our drinks at that point, and we sat and waited for another 30 hour for the second attempt! To my horror, same issue. FROZEN! They did buy our drinks and gave a gift card to come back another time. NOT A CHANCE! I gave the card away to a homeless guy. read more

Not much love here on yelp but my first visit was great. I asked if the jalapeno poppers were made fresh or frozen before ordering and was assured they were fresh, and to my delight they were, and tasted incredible. Smoked meat sandwich was also fantastic, with a proper portion of meat in the middle. Gluten free fish and chips at the table were also great. The place was 60% full and service was perfect. It is a bit on the expensive side, my only knock, but this is some of the better pub food around. read more

Went for some dinner and was kinda surprised at a few things. We had to move two tables because the first two were legit filthy (even tho we were told they were cleaned). You can tell the staff are not very well trained. There are two types of staff in the industry, those who get it, and those who don't. You can teach staff how to get it but you can tell that is not done here. Food was decent tho! read more

We been tryna munch on some nachos but we haven't even been able to order. You would think that a pre booked event could have better service. Went there after work with some coworkers. Waitress seemed pretty inattentive and just not interested in what she was doing that day. She eventually got us drinks and took our food order. Food arrived promptly, with very large portions and was satisfactory (Didn't really stand out good or bad). All in all a very 'meh' experience. I certainly wouldn't recommend the place. read more

This place is hit or miss. I love the environment when there's a flames game on. I also enjoy watching a UFC event here from time to time. We have a good range of beers on tap. However their bartenders are extremely novice and I would not order anything that is not on the drink menu. I tried to order a dirty martini. The waitress came back several times asking me what the drink was and how to make the drink. This is a very basic drink it's vodka dry vermouth and olives and brine. Some places crush a few olives into the drink to make it dirtier (I know, baby steps). When the drink showed up 15 minutes later it was tasted off. The bartender decided to use rum instead of vodka. When I asked I was told it was rum not vodka which I didn't want. The olives were not even bar olives but olives they got from the kitchen. They were pizza olives! The angus steak bites are nice. They weren't dried out and they had flavour. The cactus chips are a regular item we order, the dill dip is good. The buffalo wrap I had was gross. So much buffalo dressing on the piece of breaded chicken and even more dressing on the Caesar salad they put in the wrap it was a soggy mess. Inedible. One thing that keeps is coming back is the Saturday steak special. 20.99 10oz New York Strip Loin and Shrimp with roasted potatoes, sautéed mushrooms and seasonal vegetables and garlic bread. Great value, steak is done well more often then not. Veggies are great. This is a fun pub that does a lot good. It's worth checking out. Just don't order a martini read more

The food is mediocre at best portion sizes are ridiculously large and the service is almost never prompt. Just had the absolutely worst Quesadilla( Hey imagine that, I can actually pronounce it without a phonetic spelling) I have ever had, it wasn't even fit for the concession of a east LA flea market. I would suggest you spend less time trying to come up with crappy jokes to put on the menu and spend some time learning to cook. Quesadilla was terrible, Fries were fresh from a McCain' bag however "kaktus" chips were decent but dip was super runny, try adding flour. the only thing about this lunch that was fantastic is that you guys have mastered how to make ice for your water glasses. bravo read more

Food clearly sat there for a while before making it to our table. I ordered the pierogi pizza - the sour cream was melted - so it was clearly under the heat lamp for a while. I asked for it to be reheated- they did, in a microwave - which make the sour cream now liquid and the plate hot- but the pizza absorbed no heat. I wasn't looking for a free meal- but no apologies or compensation was given. Server was very polite- but wow, where the heck was the management here? And yes, I have worked in the industry, and I know how it works- food that shouldn't have gone out- is food that shouldn't have gone out. End of story. Fantastic place. Has become our favorite place. They even know my name. We enjoy all the weekly specials especially the prawns. Last night was lobster bake which was excellent. They had a door prize of a wine cooler and a 50/50 draw with proceeds to a local cause. Very good community involvement. A chain is a chain right? More or less.. Walked in to watch the Flames game, greeted by a cool looking friendly manager(?) guy with a beard. We've been across the parking lot to Browns social house before also, mediocre service there at best. I can see 11 hd tvs with the game from where I'm sitting, there has to be at least 30 total which is great, very oriented to be a sports bar, a plus if that's your thing. The menu has 75 items which is overboard and makes me think they do 75 items mediocrely as opposed to 45 items well; each with a long winded description, ending in a one line joke. Old one line jokes unfortunately. We shared the buffalo chicken poutine pizza, and dry ribs, because why not. The pizza was not memorable unfortunately, I could have gone without the second slice. The service was just the right amount of checking in, mixed with a bit of pissing off while we ate. It's a typical sports bar chain. The beer was cold, 80% of customers are dudes and the servers uniform is mini skirts. I'll come back because the specials are a good price, I can see a tv from wherever I sit and because browns across the lot is sort of crap. My compliments to the manager on shift who took our drink order as soon as we sat down, checked on our food while we ate and was genuinely funny without it seeming forced. read more

What a great place to eat, relax and have a few beers with some friends. The staff are attentive and polite, always trying to make sure one gets the best out of their experience. The atmosphere is fun and vibrant, not to mention the desert poutine is to die for! 10/10 would recommend to fellow Okotokians! read more

I will not be attending this bar ever again, and this is the first of many reviews across many different platforms I will leave. I was told that I could not be served alcohol because my passport photo was a couple years old, and because the pages weren't laminated. That is a piece of government issued idenitification that has gotten me into the United States, and I have the stamps to prove it. but even though my birthdate is may 31st 1998 I was declined, the picture looks like me, the ID is government issued and the Canadian passport is one of the hardest passports to fake but they declined it because the picture was old and it's not laminated I have told my family not to go there, I have told my friends to boycott them, and I myself will not set foot in there, you have lost my business for declining government issued valid identification, and having very rude staff Again, they did not accept my passport because of the picture, AND BECAUSE OF THE LACK OF LAMINATING read more

We would go here because they allow kids until a certain time and each time we did go we left feeling like we were mostly a pain to the waitresses. I thought I would give it one more try and went by with a girlfriend kid free and instantly regretted it. It took about 10 minuets for anyone to acknowledge us, and once we were, it took another 10 to get a drink. It was not busy by any means. The service there on out was terrible, our drinks went empty with no offer of another, so we decided to leave. I firmly believe (as I have done the job in the past) that a tip should reflect the service in some respects. I tipped, but not enough for the waitress we had because we were met with clear and obvious angst from her, scoffing, looking away, not saying a word. I will never return. Had a great night out with some friends that were in town for a visit, we were looking for good time with some great food and drinks and we found it at the brewhouse. Our waitress was on top of everything for us, and super funny when she chimed in with us, later in the evening it got fairly busy as more of a bar atmosphere so we two birds with one stone.
