I have been meaning to go here forever but never stopped by until now. It is such a cute shop with lots of different plants to offer. The girls kept checking in on me and asking if I needed anything or had any questions as I looked around. I wanted to buy something small for a cute Christmas gift and went with an airplant with little stand. I also bought one for myself! I love that they have selections from local vendors and that they have lots of crystals! Plant girlies usually love crystals too! The only thing I will say is that the plants are on the pricey side so be prepared to pay. Everything looks in great condition though! Will be back! read more

Love love love!!! If this place had a chair to sit and curl up, I'd never leave! The smell of the incense and the endless shades of green are very welcoming. I did a simple map search for a florist near my nieces school to grab some flowers as she was in a play and I was in need of some last minute bouquets. I called in advance and was excited to hear that they were open until 6pm and would prepare little arrangements for us from our selection at their bouquet bar. This is a greenery gem if you are a plant lover. I've passed this place on many occasions since I frequent the Park Circle area. I finally was able to stop by when Saturday and take a peek at all they had to offer. The plant lover in me took my leisurely time perusing through all their beautiful plants. There are so many to choose from. They have a great selection of plant supplies to keep your babies healthy and thriving. One of the best plant shops in town! The staff are so friendly and helpful without being overwhelming. They recently moved into a new, larger space and it's fantastic. I've always heard great things from friends about Roadside and have followed them for a long time on social media. I love that they give out tips on plants and often save those for future reference. I stopped in here with my youngest to check out all the neat plants. We ended up picking up a heart fern which is typically an indoor houseplant. This plant actually hated living in my house so I moved it to an area of my screened in porch that doesn't get direct light and it is thriving. My 3 year old really loved all the gemstones/crystals/rocks they had. I let her pick out one and she chose the Amazonite. They have cut flowers, pots, puzzles and so much more here so definitely stop by when you're in the area or order some flowers to be delivered! read more

I've only been in once so far but had a great experience. I came in maybe the day before valentines day for a non-valentines related purchase. Probably not the best idea but I was there so I decided to take care of the errand. I was looking for an orchid as a gift and although they didn;t have many at the time, I was able to find a really beautiful one that had a nice pot with it. It's no secret that I have a big crush on the food truck scene here in Charleston. Watching it grow has been a hobby of mine, and I love that I've gotten to know a number of the vendors personally. Friends, food, and trucks. What could be better? Well, hang on to your hats, kids, there's a new truck in town. And this one's upped the ante, keeping the happiness vibe, but won't pack on the calories if you indulge. Meet Roadside Blooms, a funky flower truck, bringing the Charleston area beautiful blooms, locally sourced, at really reasonable prices. The truck is around a lot of places. I've found it at the Medway Park Sunday Brunch Farmer's Market, and seen their flowers at local establishments like Muddy Waters on Maybank. You can follow them on Facebook to find where the brown beauty (a former British ice cream truck) is camped, or order online (with delivery). So how it works at truckside is you pick the size bouquet you want (small $10; medium $20. large $30) and how you want to receive it (your own vase or wrapped in newspaper, or, for a nominal fee, an appropriately sized container for your blooms.) Every bouquet I've seen from the truck has been fresh, pretty, and a step beyond ordinary. I've got a pretty one setting on my counter now, and it makes me smile, and brought a touch of this beautiful May day inside. I stopped by Roadside Blooms in Park Circle for the first time ever today. It's the middle of winter and I have been anxiously awaiting spring, so I gave in to my spring urge and decided fresh flowers was a must for my house. As I walked into the boutique I was absolutely blown away. Everywhere I turned there was something new and exciting, fresh soap and bath bombs from the Old Whaling Co (literally my favorite, I have a basket full of bath bombs in my bathroom), what looks to be handmade jewelry, chic stationery/cards, cute little terrariums, and of course fresh cut bouquets of flowers. In the other room, it looked like someone was planning an event that needed flowers, but the owner (or who I assume was the owner) was very quick to come up and answer my questions. She had several beautiful bouquets available from $20-$45 filled with in-season greens and flowers. After I picked one out, she explained the different flowers and what type they were, it was very educational. I really enjoyed her customer service. I'll definitely be back, but for now I'm going to enjoy my flowers! read more

just had an excellent experience with roadside blooms. i wanted to send birthday flowers to my friend who lives in charleston, but i live out of state. so, i started with a broad google and checked out all the different florists in charleston before trying out roadside blooms. i instantly liked that my order went straight through the owner via email (as opposed to just browsing photos of flowers before placing an order without ever talking to anyone,) and she mentioned in her very first email that she uses fresh, american blooms, and "no tight bunches, no babys breath, no gerber daisies ;) " so, perfect. she even charged a few dollars less for delivery ($12) than most if not all of the other florists i checked out, but that might have depended upon the specific location in charleston. i also felt confident about her taste after checking out her beautiful instagram. best of all, she sent me a personal email to let me know the flowers were delivered, and my friend instantly let me know how beautiful her bouquet is. the whole exchange was perfect- down to the lack of word limit for the card and being able to pay using square. thanks, toni! read more
