Matt & Rob at Horst Wholesale Florist were so kind and so easy to work with. This happened several months ago, we have a huge family of 10 siblings therefore we decided to all come together to arrange flowers for our mother's funeral. My sister and I came to Horst, we ordered a lot! Following that our family argued about all sorts of things due to the pain and stress, therefore on the morning of the pickup day we were hoping that we can cancel most of the order, but as soon as we arrived, the entire order was ready to go right on the agreed time, they were fresh and organized. We felt horrible!!! We had to be honest that we must cancel most of order because our family had changed plans. But seeing how kind they were, and the flowers were absolutely beautiful and so fresh, we decided to pay for them ourselves and ended up bringing home most of the order. We're so grateful for the owners, not only did they not blame us, they went on to console us and helped us load our van. We love that they're professional, family oriented and so kind in the way they run their business. Will definitely refer our family and friends. Thanks guys!!! read more

Ridiculously expensive and flowers died after 2 days. I bought 5 peonies at $39 each. Did not know how expensive it would be until I checked out. They lasted 2 days and you have to do everything yourself. Total rip off!!! read more

Great selection, if you go on the right days. Mondays not so much, but the folks working there were able to help me, and I found what I needed! I came back the following week on a Tuesday, for the larger selection. You might not think it is open tot he public, but the staff are very accommodating, and selection is great just as they said it would be. read more

Beautiful flowers. As a way to save money we put flowers together ourselves for the vases the night before and they turned out beautiful. However, they referred us to a florist who works out of her home that made a bouquet and coursages that were wilted and very unattractive. We had to take hours the day before the wedding to call her, have her stop by, and tell her how to redo it (which took a very long time since we are not experts in this area). I feel that a florist should be more independent than that. At the end of the day it put us all behind schedule and made me 30 minutes late for my own rehearsal dinner. The price was good, but to be under pressure so close to the wedding was just too much to handle. There also weren't any apologies made. Pay a florist that is highly rated for your corsages and bouquets instead of listening to their referrals.... However, as a note..the florist did show up and fixed the problem. My bouquet and corsages were beautiful the day of the wedding, but it involved a large amount of micro-managing and additional purchases of flowers. read more

I had a fabulous experience with Horst, more specifically Lee Horst the wholesale florists on site florist. Lee was wonderful, in our budget, knowledgable and very easy to reach !! Even though Lee had a baby in the midst of our wedding planning process, nothing more than 48 hrs would pass before I heard back from her !! My vision was a tiny bit skewed with the flowers at our wedding but I blame this on it being a destination wedding and me never meeting with Lee prior to the wedding. I am so happy! I have been a customer of Busy Bee's Wholesale florist for years and was devastated when they closed! I found Horst online and decided to give them a try. The prices are reasonable and the staff was excellent. I've driven past them a thousand times and never even noticed them there in between Ashley Hall and Wapoo on 61. These guys are the BEST! I just threw a surprise Vegas themed wedding in 2 1/2 weeks and naturally was freaking out about, well, everything. I called and talked with Rob and he squeezed me in for a sit down. They were clearly super busy and this was so last minute I didn't think they could get everything I needed in time. I was wrong. Rob went over a few pics I brought and recreated everything to exact perfection. I'm talking multiple bouquets, boutonnières, added corsages, centerpieces, drapery for an arbor, flower girl baskets. The whole thing! It was all perfect. Especially my bouquet. He made it so it lit up and it was magical and I cried when I saw it for the first time. Needless to say I HIGHLY RECOMMEND these guys and will be using them for ALL my future floral needs. Happiest bride ever! read more

I am so extremely disappointed with my experience with Horst. I purchased $927.90 worth of flowers and candles from them for my wedding. My wedding ended up being cancelled due to Hurricane Matthew. I had no choice due to the venue closing and the evacuation orders. I gave them as much notice as I possibly could (4 days prior to the wedding) when I cancelled the order. After multiple phone calls and arguments, they finally offered to reimburse me $267.57. Just the candles I ordered were $125.86 I understand that flowers only last a few days, but the candles obviously are just going to get sold to someone else so they are making double profit! So they are trying to tell me that had all of the flowers I ordered cut and ready to go 4 days prior to the wedding!?! They would have been dead and wilted! Not only that, they were CLOSED on Friday and Saturday. So even if I could have gone through with the wedding, I couldn't have picked up my order anyways! I am so extremely upset and disappointed. Weddings are already so expensive and this company took full advantage of my unfortunate situation! All of my other vendors, including my caterer and baker, offered full reimbursements or rescheduling because IT WAS A NATURAL DISASTER! I would never recommend this company to anyone. read more

Very disappointed. I ordered several different flowers for my wedding day. The roses were wilted upon pickup. I left a message with an employee to have someone call me back to discuss this matter, however never heard back. I also emailed, but no return call. Very upset about the customer service and quality of the flowers. read more

Horst Florists came highly recommended for their prices and customer service. We were scheduled to have our wedding on October 8th, the same day that hurricane Mathew arrived so naturally we had to cancel the wedding. We contacted Horst on Tuesday to cancel our order, 3 days before our scheduled pick up on Friday. We were well aware of their 10 day cancellation policy but were hoping that they would be willing to refund us as the majority of the flowers we ordered had more than likely not been delivered yet. Needless to say their owner was not understanding at all of the situation and offered us only a meager 25% refund. To pour salt on the wound, the owner notified me that they were closed on the Friday that we were scheduled to pick up. Tell me how was I suppose to get my flowers with you being closed, the Ravenel bridge being closed and I-26 being contra-flowed? His response was: "It didn't matter, we had cancelled the wedding anyways." You could imagine my shock at this statement. This is just poor business and I cannot think of the slightest reason to recommend them to anyone given their response to this act-of-god event. I wish them the best of luck with their business because if you're not able to treat a customer in this type of situation with some understanding and be willing to work with them then I don't see a bright future for their company.
