I wanted to let anyone wondering whether this experience is worth it ... that it 100% is!!! We had a fantastic time. We had Colt as our guide. And wanted to give him a shout out for going above and beyond. He knew so much about the area, where to get the best pictures, how to capture them. We were so impressed. And of course, the slots themselves were so beautiful. They really customize the trip to your groups need. We had several that couldn't do much hiking, so Colt took us to the areas that worked best for us. But we passed another group that went farther and deeper in the caves as they were a younger group. It was a great ride, great experience and it really got us in the mindset to ROAM while visiting this beautiful area! read more

What a great time we had on our excursion navigating through the high desert of "Pick a Boo Canyon", our guide was J.c. and let me tell you this gentleman was a fantastic guide/host of our excursion. J.c. holds a wealth of knowledge and experience of the lay of the land, we were a party of four in one utv and there was a party of two in another utv, with J.c. leading the way through twist and turns to get to the canyon, the ride to get there was a great experience in its self!, it was a bumpy ride but that's the lay of the land!, your going to get dusty and dirty so expect it, and you need closed toe shoes as well. It's about a 15 minute ride from the base to the entrance to the canyon and well worth the ride!!, but when you get to the canyon that's where nature and J.c. wow you with such grand beauty and the wealth of knowledge that J.c. shares with you and the hike that you take through the canyon, nothing strenuous or stressful at all. You spend time exploring through the canyon and that's where you can take great pictures of the walls and the different topography that is there!, the weather was mild, mid to high seventy's so your comfortable in light layers, but again you will be dusty/ dirty but it's well worth it, pricing if fair, so make sure you book with them for any specials or discounts that are available, it's about a two hour excursion, so you really get your $$$ worth. So do your self a favor and book with this company and book one of the many excursion that is available to you!, again or guide/ host was J.c. super cool guy, and I know everyone else there that are guides are great as well, but J.c. was our guy. read more

Dusty, bumpy, loud and amazing! Met all of my expectations! The slots were a small slice of wonder. Guides showed us some cool features. Nature at its best. The UTVs were so much fun. Thank goodness for experienced drivers, otherwise I would have flip the vehicle. Very bumpy, and caught some air with all the jostling. It was like a rollercoaster! Definitively not recommended for pregnant women or people with bad backs. Thought the "hike" would be longer to see and walk thru the slots, but fairly short. Still caught some amazing photos. Hats, sunglasses, closed toe sturdy shoes recommended. Long hair pulled back! Otherwise it'll get more tangled and dusty. Get ready to get grit in your teeth too. read more

My family (Mom, Dad, 14 & 12 year old boys, and 71 year old Pops) did the evening Combo Peek-A-Boo and Great Chamber tour last week with Jacey. We had such a great time, and this tour easily became the highlight of our trip! Jacey was awesome - so knowledgeable and accommodating. It was really nice that he had water in a cooler available, and he kept encouraging us to drink it to make sure we stayed hydrated. The slot canyon was beautiful and we nearly had it all to ourselves. After an adventurous and fun drive to the Great Chamber, we hiked up the steep sand hill (not for the week - but my 12 year old and 71 year old for father were able to do it!). It was amazing and the photos don't do it any justice. Jacey was a great photographer, gave us some great tips, and directed a mini-photo shoot there for us. We got some great photos for our Christmas card! Unfortunately, a monsoon came through nearby, so we were unable to do the sand-boarding. It was disappointing for my boys but Kanab weather in July is something nobody can control! Overall, we had an amazing 10/10 experiencing and would recommend to anyone visiting the area. read more

My girlfriend booked the White Pocket tour for us. I thought we were going to be in a large group herded along like sheep. I was pleasantly surprised to learn it was just the two of us and our guide, Jacey. Jacey did a great job driving us to White Pocket over some pretty sketchy roads that our AWD rental SUV definitely wouldn't have been able to traverse. Once there, Jacey led us around White Pocket and pointed out things along the way that we wouldn't have known about or even attempted to climb up/down had it not been for his guidance. Having a guide was invaluable and not having to worry about getting stuck on the sandy road to/from White Pocket was definitely worth it. read more

What a great experience! We did The Ultimate Ride & Rappell Slot Canyon Tour. Our guide was Zaaj. He was amazing! It was just my husband and I. My husband has experience rock climbing. I do not and am actually afraid of heights! But I like to challenge myself. Zaaj was patient and helped me through when I was nervous. My three sisters and I went on a 1 1/2 hour horseback ride at Cave Lakes Canyon Ranch with Kristen as our guide. We could not have asked for a better experience all around. Kristen was the perfect guide for our group. She allowed us to personalize our experience a bit by stopping off at our canvas cabin we were staying in to let our 79 year old mom say 'hi' to our horses. Utah's Tallest Via Ferrata Tyler was such a great guide, host and photographer - he shot over 60 pics for us!! We had a wicked good time. This is coming from a crew that has done multiple canyoneering trips and not green to rappelling which made the 220' rap soo much fun. Climbing the Iron Path is such a unique experience. I don't usually leave reviews....unless the place is really bad or really good. THIS WAS REALLY GOOD. We had never canyoneered before, but we love slot canyons and know that there are some that most people never see because they can't hike to them--you have to rappel into them. We went into one such canyon today! Rob was our guide and the dude is maybe the most adventurous guy ever...one look at his Instagram site and you can see that the he has been ALL OVER the cool places in SW Utah. But more important for us, he is a great instructor. He's very calm and patient with everyone. He even has the right voice for this job! Anyway, highly, highly recommended! read more

Our Coyote Buttes South Tour was the HIGHLIGHT of our entire road trip across the west. Jacey was knowledgeable, fun and kept a perfect pace for us. The landscape is absolutely stunning. The Southern Wave was really cool, and the variety of rock formations kept us in awe at every turn. We would have never been brave enough to make it down the dirt roads and then into the desert without marked trails. This tour was worth EVERY PENNY. We were the only people there! Tim was our guide for the day and he was exceptional. Personable and friendly and knowledgeable. We initially had only scheduled to do the White Pockets tour but along the way we started talking about the S'mores and Stars tour and we decided to do that one as well. White Pockets was stunning and Tim made sure we hit every interesting thing possible. There was never any rushed feeling. After that tour, he dropped us back to the meeting spot and then picked us up at our hotel for the night time tour. Our group of five booked The Combo and were so happy we did. The Peek-A-Boo and Great Chamber are extraordinary on their own, but experiencing both back-to-back by UTV, with our guide Jacey who clearly loves what he does, takes it to a completely different level. Jacey made everyone feel confident from the start. The pre-ride briefing was thorough without being tedious, and the UTVs were well-maintained and genuinely fun to handle on the canyon terrain. The ride out builds anticipation perfectly -- red sandy dunes, light shifting. Due to wind on the day we visited, we started at the Great Chamber and ended at Peek-A-Boo before heading back to the lot. The Great Chamber genuinely stops you in your tracks. A short climb up and you're standing inside what feels like a cathedral that took 200 million years to build. Peek-A-Boo was just as extraordinary -- a short walk into the canyon and the light and color are breathtaking. Jacey knew exactly when to talk and when to let the silence do the work. That kind of awareness is rare and made a real difference. He's also a wizard with iPhone photography and will help you get the most extraordinary shots. Group size was small enough that it never felt like a crowd, and the pace allowed time to actually sit with the landscape rather than rush through it for photos. Staff at check-in were organized and warm, and the whole operation has the feel of people who genuinely care about the experience they're delivering. Pro tip: bring your own goggles, buff, and earplugs. Roam provides them, but for a fee. Highly recommend. read more
