This appears to be a cute/nice place as you check in. A bit of an incline walking up to check in and quite steep walking back to the truck. Husband put on the emergency brake when I went in and to get to our site, it WAS REALLY STEEP down the hill. At the bottom of the HILL you needed to make a sharp turn into your row. Sites are close together when you get to your space, no picnic benches, no pool/hot tub, okay laundry room and the bathroom/showers were dirty. No road noise just sirens. Lots of long term RV's staying at the park. Absolutely NO BIKE RIDING...... People not from the park are walking on the riverfront walkway which is separated by a two foot fence.(They can just hop over that short wood fence! I realize that this park is in the "Portland/Metro area BUT this park was the most expensive park so far on this 2025 trip with no amenities. The road up the hill to get out of the park is steep and you can only turn right (we needed to go left) so we needed to go right about 2 miles before we could make make a U-TURN! Staff very friendly but I will never return because of the reasons listed. read more

We made the drive from Missoula in one day vs. two, so we came into Beaverton, OR a day early. On the way we were searching a bunch of RV site apps for a good spot that would have an opening that evening. Slim pickings. I turned to my trusty Yelp and found Roamer's Rest RV Park. They had "one spot left" so we took it. It was about 20 min away from my Nephew's house in Beaverton, but we needed a spot and it was late and Yelp reviews were positive. We had no expectations so when we arrived (late), we were pleased by the nice touches at the managers office. Flowers, clear signage, and our packet on the door. Our pull through site was easy to find and easy to access. We were under a big light which provided great light for our domino game. But we did have to cover up our ceiling vents at night to sleep. It wasn't too big a deal. Since we were an end unit we had a bit more lawn to relax on. Rather than moving closer to my nephews house for night 2 we asked to extend here for a second night. They made the accommodation for us by redirecting the next nights guest to a different slip. Very kind. We met some of the neighbors. And we took advantage of the washers and dryers and showers. We were able to show up at my nephews house all clean for his family. I asked the "manager" at the office if the "owner" owned multiple RV parks. Turns out she was the owner's wife. This was their only RV Park. They started it from scratch. Her husband bought an old defunct place on the river and over time turned it into a super clean, very well run RV park. The Stalls look a little close in pictures but there was plenty of room and everyone gets lawn. And, they're on the Tualatin River. I was told that "Tualatin" means "slow moving water" or something close in the Native American language. Overall a great stay. Loved the husband - wife ownership. And the fact they have had the same maintenance and groundskeeper since the beginning. That shows "good people". Definitely Recommended. read more

This RV park is situated in a great location as it's only 3 miles to all the shopping you could want or need. The entry into the park was interesting, I came in having to cross a busy thoroughfare so was def clenching a bit. The front office gal was friendly with a nice big smile and welcoming. Big sloping grade to get down to the different levels of spots. Concrete pads and level which was nice. I was in a space right across from the bathroom/laundry hut corner and all the RV'ers coming into the area would pass by my rig to get to the bottom areas- so it was always a lot of vehicle noise. The grass areas next to each pad is all dead and dried up sadly. The river backs up to the bottom level of RV pads and has a walking path but I never went down that way. Woken up a few nights in a row at midnight from the sound of fireworks or gun shots not sure which but it was uncomfortable feeling and really made me want to leave- had nothing to do with the RV park but just ppl in a city smh. The laundry was affordable $1.50/load. Bathroom/showers were always clean and available in lockable rooms. The WI-Fi was a no go for streaming so ur gonna need ur own if u watch anything. Overall the park was nice and the location to all the shopping was awesome, but the police sirens, road traffic noise, and whatever was being shot off down by the river- I will let this be a one and done. As a traveling RN doing a service to the local community, I find it surprising that a park like this, who actually DOES monthly rentals, they will deny someone who is willing to come here to help the local communities during a staffing crisis. However, this place, in its questionable wisdom, has decreed that the age of your motor home is a fair and equitable reason to deny the right to use their facility. Most places that I gave run across with similar rules, will make an exception based on pictures of the RV and that it doesn't look too trashy. But they would not even consider it for me. read more

Just a place to park your RV while you check out the Portland area. Small sites, basically a cement drive with a bit of grass. No picnic tables. No campfires allowed. Traffic noise, but not too bad if you are on the lower section. Staff a little crazy with their golf carts...women pulled out right in front of us as we entered the RV park, when she realized what she had done, she just shrugged her shoulders and kept going. Recycle bins were overflowing when we were there. Also, didn't like the "dog walk", it is situated behind the RV sites that back up to the river, so you almost feel like you are intruding on their sites. Overall, an ok place to stay if you plan to be away from the RV park for sightseeing. Not a place to chill and relax. read more

This was a good quick-stop on our way through Oregon! The staff was friendly, the bathrooms were clean (and spacious!), with a small laundry area (2 washers, 2 dryers @ $1.50 each- so $3/ full load). The back-in site was nicer than the pull-through because it meant we actually had some trees! What keeps it from being a 5-star was just how close the spots were to one another, and the lack of family-feel. It just didn't feel as if kids were all that welcome- there were rules against scooters, no fire-pits allowed (which, to be fair, was a rule at another rv park we stopped at) and no activities for them (we searched for the horseshoe pit that is labeled on the map to no avail). We stayed here twice- for 1-2 nights each- and I would stay here again, but not for more than a couple of nights. read more

Nice RV park near Portland. Pull-thru spots in lower lot are mostly flat, not overly large but are FHU. The shower rooms (4) are very nice. Each is a full bathroom. Shocked at how we were treated trying to make a reservation. They wouldn't even consider us because our RV is a 99 (picture of our RV attached to this comment). They wouldn't even let us send them a picture to show them the condition of our RV. People always compliment our motorhome and think its new. Its been stored indoors almost its whole life. This RV has never been rejected from a park before. We even explained I am a travel nurse trying to work in Portland. In this stressful year when it has been difficult finding jobs, this campground made it even more stressful. Most places make exceptions for first responders and medical staff. Not a priority here I guess. read more

This RV park is immaculate! It has really nice restrooms and laundry facilities. Actually it is the nicest restroom I have ever seen in a campground. The grounds are beautifully landscaped. Also, the lady that checked us in was super nice. Why not 5 stars? It's missing a few things. There are no picnic tables, or fire rings, or much for kids to do. In fact, it's not really a kid place at all. There's just a few feet of (perfectly manicured) grass between each site. This is a great place to stop for the night. It's quiet for a good night's sleep, and you can have a great hot shower in the morning. The wireless from my campsite was flakey - when it was working, bandwidth was measured at 3-5 Mbps. read more

We love this place! This is the second time we've stayed here while visiting Portland, OR. It is well kept, the facilities are spotless, nicely landscaped and the staff is wonderful and so accommodating. It's extremely quiet in the evening. They have a nice trail to walk and take your dogs. They also have an area for those who don't have pets. All in all, I could not recommend this place enough! Well maintained park with nice landscaping & a great laundry/bath building. If you've traveled much, you know how gross the bathrooms can be at RV parks. They get cleaned at least once a day there & I noticed staff emptying trash cans in the morning. I totally disagree with the one very negative review. The park is very nice. I never heard dogs barking, saw excessive amounts of dog poop, or anything like she is over-exaggerating! I suspect there are no fires permitted because it's within city limits & not allowed. As far as the complaints about picnic tables, I believe they might add some in the future. The park is in a great location with easy access to DT Portland, or public transportation. I called around 4 to see if they still had space and luckily they did. We didn't get in until 8 and since the office was already closed we just picked up the paperwork that was outside the office. We got one of the pull through spaces right in the front that made it so easy to get settled in quickly. It was definitely one of the better RV parks we stayed at. It felt so clean and I ended up showering in one of the bathrooms. People were also very friendly! read more

My only complaint during check-in was that you have to temporarily park your rig on a severely downward angled hill. Make sure to use your parking brake! We stayed in site 32 and it was rather cramped. They did warn me when I made the reservation though that our 28 foot class A RV would barely fit, as the site is only 29 feet long. Thank goodness it was paved and level. Each RV site includes adjoining space to park your tow car or truck. Very clean private bathrooms. The laundry was quite a deal at only $1.50 to wash (40 minutes) and $1.50 to dry (60 minutes.) We ordered a package during our stay and it arrived with no issues. A beautiful garden is located near the river and guests are welcome to help themselves to complimentary produce and vegetables. We picked a few strawberries and tomatoes and both were excellent! The free campground wifi worked at our site and it was pretty good. My AT&T phone had 3 bars and my wife's Verizon phone had 3 bars. The 17 free cable channels were a bit fuzzy but we still enjoyed them. Campground is located in a busy area of town so groceries and other shopping are only a few miles away. Highway 99 West is insanely busy so be careful when exiting and entering. read more

A very clean park. The location worked great for us, easy access to many areas that we were visiting. The downfalls for us were that the outside area at the site was very small. Sites had no picnic tables or fire rings. Campground had no play areas for the kids. Also, the wifi connection was horrible. A great stop for the night or as a home base for exploring the area but not if you're looking to hang out at the campground. read more

I've been here only once and a long time ago about 1982 or maybe 1983 as I can recall? So even if many years have passed I still will write a review if you please? We had our union local Mailhandlers 315 labor day picnic and Beer Bust here? I remember the park being clean and managed by an older lady. Of course then most everyone was older? This is a Nice RV park with nearby (20 mins) access to Portland. The sites are older, you get occasional wifts of sewer, but the restrooms are newer and clean. There is a river on site, but NO access at all. Also, this is not a quiet spot, there are "city" noises and what I believe are residents on site that come and go early in the morning and late in the evening. read more

Small RV Park with little to no privacy, no camp fires (propane or wood) are allowed, the Internet is terrible (wouldn't even load google maps), and very little space to even lounge outside in chairs. There is a narrow patch of grass between each space but not great for lounging. The area they call a pet area is small strip of grass behind other people's trailers where you can see right into their RVs. We used the apartment complex next door to walk the dog. The good: close to pretty much anything you would need shopping wise or restaurants. I didn't use the laundry or bathroom facilities but they looked pretty nice and clean. Would not stay here again unless it was a quick stop. read more

Stayed for one week in a back in spot beside the Tualatin River in my Class B Travato van. Two side by side spot for trailer and vehicle. We just had the van so the 2 space was huge for us. On a flat cement slab. The hook ups was on cement slab or large gravel so no dirt or mud to deal with. Good grass space behind us and in between the pull thru spots. Wonderful garden area and bird/squirrel refuge area. Cute yard art. Dealt with different staff over the phone and in person, all very friendly and helpful. Bathrooms/laundry area very clean and good size. Dog friendly and provided poop bags with trash cans. The only con is cleaning time for the lower restroom/laundry was around 7ish at the time we wished to use it. We just used the upper facility. Also no picnic table for any sites. This is a lovely park right on the Tualatin river. The drive up pleasing, the facilities well kept and always clean. The staff pleasant and helpful. We have enjoyed being here and able to be close to family. Its close to wine country and Portland, so always something to do. read more

This is probably the worst place my husband and I have stayed. We travel a lot due to his job. The landscape is okay but there's a stinky smell, don't know if it's due to the water along the back of the park. Not happy about no pit bulls or pit mixes allowed in the park. People really need get up to date about the bread, of course yuppy little dogs are allowed ( the people we stayed next to little thing wouldn't stop barking all day/night). They make you pay $5 extra for a second vehicle and barley any "extra" parking. Amenities are very limited. The women in the office not very pleasant. Only reason we stayed here is because nothing else had availability. read more

Roamers Rest is our favorite RV park in the Portland area! The staff is the best and the grounds are beautiful. It is on the river with trees surrounding the property. The laundry and showers are always clean and warm. It is close to everything, but still has the feel of "camping". This is our fifth visit here and we have never been disappointed. Stopped and stayed here with family that was visiting from out of state. Had a pull through spot which made it convenient for easy exit. Only downfall is not a lot of shade and it gets HOT on the cement during summer. And- you can reach out from your lawn chair and touch your neighbors trailer. Otherwise, it's clean. Cement and grass. Not much overflow parking so plan accordingly if needed. Short drive to fast food, etc. If traveling North on 99w, prepare to make a u turn to get into the RV park. read more

Roamers Rest is wonderful! My doggy and I stayed there for two months and very much enjoyed it! It's next to the Tualatin River (original stairs to what used to be a swimming pool built within the river, in the 1950's!), nice walking areas (grassy, trees! I'm here from Arizona!), a bird sanctuary wetland protected, with squirrels, ducks too! It's quiet, and family friendly, pet friendly and their rates are better than most I searched around! This is NOT CAMPING or anything close to camping. This is a 90 spot parking lot. This is not where you want to go unless you just want bring out your RV you never use and want to clean it and wash your car like the guy next to me. Its super clean, bathrooms are also clean and the staff was nice. If Wal-Mart had Wi-Fi it would be about the same. Sorry oh there is a lake you can't see as well. read more

This park is clean with nice paved spaces and lawn dividers. The internet does not work very well. Just a place to park with few amenities.

Everything was alright up until our last day here. We had to pay for an extra half day just to stay 45 minutes later than their checkout time. Also after I paid, the lady came down to my site and asked me why I hadn't left yet and reminded me when checkout time was. I had to remind her of our conversation and that I already paid. We just needed an overnight place to stay while in transit through the Portland area. The staff was very friendly and helpful in getting us squared away even though out truck would not be able to fit in the same site as our trailer. The camp was clean and the bathrooms were FANTASTIC. I am giving 4 stars due only to the proximity of the spaces, causing a pretty strong odor of sewage to waft in with the breeze. read more

NO picnic tables! I've been RV'ing for years and this is the first time I have been to an RV Park that has no tables! Maybe that's no big deal for the big rigs, but it is for people with smaller trailers. The sites are VERY close together, so our truck was parked directly beside the trailer, instead of in front. On a good note, The sites on the perimeter have a nice green space behind them. The site we were at was right on the river, so although very small side by side with the next RV, but it had nice space behind it. The office has a book exchange where at no charge you can take any paperbacks, if you leave the same number. That was nice. Also some freebie candies! Overall, it was overpriced. read more

This place is a great stay around Portland. I wish it was a little closer in to the city and I don't get reception for my directv setup but there is cable and wifi and it is pretty quiet. We got a spot on the upper loop and hardly ever see another person. Staff is nice. Only nice trailers allowed here. It is obvious because everything is well maintained. Best part, this place is Clean!! It is fall and the trees drop pine needles and leaves like crazy and saw a staff member cleaning every bit of it and maintaining the landscaping for about 5 hours today just on the small part of the loop we are on. My wife and I stayed here for three days in early July 2015 and were very happy we did. The staff is gracious, helpful, and personable. The laundry/shower building is well designed and roomy and the showers have proper shower heads with plenty of space to swing your elbows and hang your garments.
