    Dog walk area.
    Michele O.

Just a place to park your RV while you check out the Portland area. Small sites, basically a cement drive with a bit of grass. No picnic tables. No campfires allowed. Traffic noise, but not too bad if you are on the lower section. Staff a little crazy with their golf carts...women pulled out right in front of us as we entered the RV park, when she realized what she had done, she just shrugged her shoulders and kept going. Recycle bins were overflowing when we were there. Also, didn't like the "dog walk", it is situated behind the RV sites that back up to the river, so you almost feel like you are intruding on their sites. Overall, an ok place to stay if you plan to be away from the RV park for sightseeing. Not a place to chill and relax.

Site 69 is a back-in site- and because our trailer is so small, we had a little patio area!

This was a good quick-stop on our way through Oregon! The staff was friendly, the bathrooms were clean (and spacious!), with a small laundry area (2 washers, 2 dryers @ $1.50 each- so $3/ full load). The back-in site was nicer than the pull-through because it meant we actually had some trees! What keeps it from being a 5-star was just how close the spots were to one another, and the lack of family-feel. It just didn't feel as if kids were all that welcome- there were rules against scooters, no fire-pits allowed (which, to be fair, was a rule at another rv park we stopped at) and no activities for them (we searched for the horseshoe pit that is labeled on the map to no avail). We stayed here twice- for 1-2 nights each- and I would stay here again, but not for more than a couple of nights.

Nice RV park near Portland. Pull-thru spots in lower lot are mostly flat, not overly large but are FHU. The shower rooms (4) are very nice. Each is a full bathroom. The showers have both volume and temp control knobs. 2 are nice big handicaps showers with flat roll-in floors and very large.

Picture of our RV that was rejected from this park

Shocked at how we were treated trying to make a reservation. They wouldn't even consider us because our RV is a 99 (picture of our RV attached to this comment). They wouldn't even let us send them a picture to show them the condition of our RV. People always compliment our motorhome and think its new. Its been stored indoors almost its whole life. This RV has never been rejected from a park before. We even explained I am a travel nurse trying to work in Portland. In this stressful year when it has been difficult finding jobs, this campground made it even more stressful. Most places make exceptions for first responders and medical staff. Not a priority here I guess.

Squirrel garden. Pure kitsch. Love it!!!

This RV park is immaculate! It has really nice restrooms and laundry facilities. Actually it is the nicest restroom I have ever seen in a campground. The grounds are beautifully landscaped. Also, the lady that checked us in was super nice. Why not 5 stars? It's missing a few things. There are no picnic tables, or fire rings, or much for kids to do. In fact, it's not really a kid place at all. There's just a few feet of (perfectly manicured) grass between each site. This is a great place to stop for the night. It's quiet for a good night's sleep, and you can have a great hot shower in the morning. The wireless from my campsite was flakey - when it was working, bandwidth was measured at 3-5 Mbps.

This park is clean with nice paved spaces and lawn dividers. The internet does not work very well. Just a place to park with few amenities.

Arlene, the camp host, was really friendly and we were able to buy firewood and a s'mores kit from her office. The bathroom was clean and the showers were hot. There were also some fun amenities like a badminton court and a basketball hoop. The campground itself was really well kept and beautiful. I will say that campsites are not super private, but that's the price to pay for camping so close to town.

Luckily, we got a spot because they were booked up when we arrived and Gladys was ready to tell us that they were full. This is definitely a more rustic campsite. it has been family owned for decades and I have a feeling that it wasn't worth adding hookups or newer facilities to the site. However, everything was adequate and the staff could not have been nicer. Everyone at the site was very friendly and we talked with a few couples before we departed. If there is downer about this site, it's that the beach and center of town are about a 30 min walk from the site and you need to walk down a small stretch of highway onramp. It seems to be closer than any other alternatives but I do wish it had been a but closer. All in all, I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone camping in cannon beach for a night or two.

I'm on the road a lot for my work, and I tend to stay places for weeks if not months at a time. When I called to make the reservation, Sharon, the woman who took my call, was most pleasurable to work with. They didn't require the third degree to get you in for a monthly rate. Nothing like that RV park up in Wilsonville just off interstate five, which actually took three days to do a background check before allowing me to stay for a month! Sharon helped me get settled in, she let me pick the spot I wanted, and her park guy, Robert, came and helped me actually set things up. Not that I needed the help, but it was just so nice to have people make you feel at home. This park is situated well off interstate five and takes about 20 minutes to get there from interstate five. It's a bit of a hassle to get your trailer through Salem, but once you get to the RV park you realize it's well worth the trip. This park couldn't be quieter. The spaces are large and the landscape is impeccable. She actually suggested paying for a monthly rate because it was cheaper than paying a weekly rate for a few weeks. You have a lot of full timers here, but you don't have any crap laying around. Nearly all of the trailers are late-model, and these people are serious RVers. The park is very clean, the showers are incredibly nice, the laundry facilities are adequate, and the lobby is nice just to go in and sit down and read a good book. If I had any complaints, it would be the quality of the cable TV service. Each site seems to be daisychained from the site next to it, so you get a lot of interference on most of the channels. Of course if you have a satellite dish, this won't be an issue. And the Internet is not that fast, so don't expect to be watching any movies on the Internet or downloading large files. It's adequate enough for basic email. Don't confuse this Premier RV park with the one that's out on the highway five. They are completely different. Take my word for it, this is the park to stay if you're in or around Salem. And it's pet friendly too!! If you're interested in seeing my review about the Wilsonville RV park, just go to my members page and search. Happy trails!

Silver Spur RV Park, Silverton, OR August 22-26, 2025…read more This is our 3rd time here over the course of the last 7 years. It's not my favorite RV park, but it's better than most and works pretty well for our needs. The RV Park is right next to the main highway coming into town that can get pretty busy at times, hence, noise. It seems like the park has gone downhill a little. The sewer hook up for my site was broken. I managed dumping our tanks without making a mess, but it should have been repaired. The WiFi is next to useless. Cell coverage for Verizon was pretty bad too. But Silver Spur is really the only game in town. It is nice to be very close to the main town of Silverton, which has a nice brewery and tap house, along with nice shops. It's about a mile away from The Oregon Gardens, which is a true gem that must be visited. Mount Angel (with Abby, sausage company, and brewery) is about 6 miles away and Vitis Winery is also close by. Silver Falls State Campground and Park is about a half hour away, but it's almost impossible to get a site there during the summer season. I understand they do have hook ups. That park's trails and waterfalls are also a must. Silver Spur park has gravel roadways and sites. It has full hook ups (electricity a must for air conditioning on 102 degree days with 70% humidity), a swimming pool and jacuzzi, nice club house with game room - pool table, foosball, TV, etc.,laundry area, dog area, kid play area, and propane refill. They'll drive a cart to your spot to pick up your 6 gallon tanks to refill them for you. The staff are friendly and helpful. Check in is Smooth.
