My initial appt with Dr. Lenkowski was excellent. His ability to communicate and explain is very good. From prior experience with specialists, I am not used to such an inclusion of me in the process. He explained things like different possible types of polyps, possible impact of allergic responses, possible impact from asthma, etc. He has equipment that is outstanding. Full radiography pictures. Examination camera and large screen display on the wall so that I could actually see what he was talking about and assessing. Prescription after the initial appointment provided relief and began a process of resolution. I am glad I came here and look forward to follow-up appointments. read more

Was suffering from an ear infection and was able to be seen the same day due to a cancellation. The office is in a newly remodeled building and was aesthetically pleasing. Dr. Lenkowski is a wonderful doctor. He is very thorough and has a wonderful bedside manner. After seeing multiple doctors for sinus trouble, he was the first one to suggest having a sinus balloon procedure. I had the procedure done in late November and I have not had any sinus pressure or troubles since. He took the time to call and check on me the weekend after my procedure. Dr. Lenkowski has also helped me narrow down which allergens I am allergic to and I will be starting allergy shots within the next few weeks. Dr Lenkowski saved my life. He is extremely detail oriented and a very nice man. I had a painful ulcer under my tongue that made it extremely painful to speak, drink, chew, and swallow and was told by a provider at an urgent care that it should resolve in a week or so. That was 10/28/2018. It only got worse and when I called Roanoke ENT about a week and a half later to get an appointment, they got me right in. That was 11/9/18. Dr Lenkowski saw me that day and was concerned as it was not just an ulcer, but a 7mm hole in the underside of my tongue. He put me on antibiotics for a week and when I came back in for my recheck he had me come back in at the end of the day for a biopsy as it was not getting any better. That was 11/16/18. He received the results 11/21/18 and had me come in that day to deliver them personally. It was cancer and he said he would be more than happy to perform the surgery but he would prefer I had it done by an Oncology ENT-head and neck specialist. He had already spoken to that office to get me in for a consult. I saw that Doctor 11/28/18 and he scheduled me for surgery 12/10/18. They had to remove a larger than golf ball size area of my tongue and they had to do a neck dissection to remove all of the lymph nodes on the left as the tumor had increased in size in just the 10 days from my consult. I am now cancer free and under surveillance for the rest of my life, but I can still speak and drink and chew and swallow my food.
