I called Rob Wheelock to ask questions regarding a possible protest on my property. I ended off not hiring his service. He has poor communication skills and seem he was everywhere. When I explained the mail out I have received from the county office, he didn't even wanted to listen. read more

Rob had been highly recommended to me by my friends and neighbors, but I had lost his information so used a different company. When I finally found Rob's information I showed him what I had saved on the 2017 property taxes for my home. Rob looked it over and told me that they had billed me too much and had failed to consider my Over 65 exemption correctly and they also didn't look at my tax ceilings, so they actually hadn't saved the the amount indicated on their bill and had taken advantage of me and my lack of knowledge. Because of Rob's help, I got a partial refund and have put Rob's information in my Contacts. Rob knew and understood the taxes I should pay and clearly explained everything so that I understood how it was calculated. I will use Rob from now on knowing that he is honest and actually trying to save me money on my property taxes. read more

Was referred to Rob Wheelock and I should have stopped when the flags where on the field. He was very abrasive, his communication poor, and he just seemed very disorganized. My husband even asked how I found him because he seemed so unprofessional. He stated he would help us with fighting the tax increase, file our homestead paperwork and help us with the historic tax credit. He only did one of these three - the easiest - the homestead filing. He decided to not go up against the city for tax increase and didn't tell us until it was too late. So disappointed in his abilities and service - he under-delivered for our family - didn't not deserve 40% of our homestead deduction. read more

We have a rental property we inherited in Dallas and the property taxes were killing us. Last year I heard about Property Tax Managers and after they explained their program and how there were no fees unless they saved us money I signed up. They ended up lowing our taxes by nearly $400 and charged us $156 which was just 40%. We didn't do anything other than sign up and netted $234. Better yet, if nothing changes we'll save nearly $400 this year since each year stands on its own. Would definitely recommend them to anyone that needs help with protesting their appraised value. History

Established in 2010.

For many years I have worked to help property owners save money on their property taxes. In 2010 I started Property Tax Managers and have since helped thousands of property owners save millions of dollars. I also work by special assignment for the Texas State Comptroller's Office as an Arbitrator, settling disputes between property owners and Texas County Appraisal Districts throughout the State which I believe gives me an edge when working for our clients interests. In 2020 I was honoured to be selected to the Property Tax Administrative Advisory Board by the Comptroller. In February of this year we merged with Resolute Property Tax Solutions. Resolute is a leader in property tax savings and this merger povides our clients even better savings. Our job is to recognize and develop ways to reduce property taxes, as well as expertly handing the reappraisal and tax reduction process from the administrative level through arbitration, trials and appeals.

As a licensed Property Tax Consultant, I help property owners save money on their property taxes by reviewing their taxable valuation and working with the Appraisal Districts to get reduced valuations. My background as a real estate broker and serving the State Comptroller's Office as an Arbitrator settling disputes between property owners and Appraisal Districts gives me an edge that other property tax consultants don't have. In 2020 I was appointed by the State Comptroller to the Property Tax Administrative Advisory Board and I'm the only licensed Property Tax Consultant on the Board.

We had Faithco give estimates on preparing a house to sell…read more There were some elements of their estimate that were reasonable here are the parts that were not. A toilet seat wobbled a small amount. The Faithco plumber said it would be $275-$1000 to fix it. I took a look at it and it took me 15 seconds to tighten the nuts at the base of the toilet. The drip tray of an air conditioner in the attic had been collecting water and draining through a pipe for years, which is not ideal! The drain took a path that zig-zagged up and down a bit. They proposed raising the unit to be suspended from the rafters and replacing the pan. I asked why not just replace the pipe, taking a straighter path and he said that the AC unit sitting on top of styrofoam supports was putting at risk of falling. His quote was $2800 to raise the unit. And he wouldn't offer other options even after I questioned each part. I asked another company and they suggested changing the pan for $1500 and fixing the drain for $500. We went with just fixing the drain for $500. We wanted a quote on replacing a 20+ year old AC system. Faithco couldn't find the model number of the unit on the equipment outside but found a 3 ton furnace in the attic so they quoted us (summer of 2025) $13,800 for a SEER 15.2 3 ton unit and $16,800 for a SEER 16.2 unit. Another contractor found the nameplate and showed it to me (a little hard to find but not really, right on the compressor) and saw it was a 2 ton unit (you can tell it's a 2 ton because the model number ends in "24"). The other contractor subsequently quoted us $10,500 for a 2 ton system and $12,800 for a 3 ton system. The other contractor also pointed out that since the house has a 2 ton unit for the bedrooms and a 4 ton unit for the main living space, high SEER is less important, the unit would mostly be used in the evenings, not all day. I had a follow-up conversation with the Faithco HVAC tech and he doubled-down on believing it was a 3 ton unit even though I told him I saw the model number ending in "24". He said, and I recall it exactly because it was so odd, "In this area, we make sure our our compressors match our furnaces." I bit my tongue but wanted to say, "I agree, but the nameplate I'm looking at still ends in "24"". Faithco recommended replacing 3 AC float switches for $225 apiece. Maybe it was me but I couldn't figure out why we needed them. I don't think they tested the existing units but I'm not sure. Soooo, we went with Evans Air instead.

We have used Rob for several years now and are very happy with him and his results. Prior to that, because I am an attorney and a real estate broker, I felt like I could contest our property value myself. After two somewhat unsuccessful years in a row, I finally accepted the fact that knowing the home values and the market, as well as knowing how to formulate a good argument, was just a portion of the knowledge needed to be successful in contesting property values.
