Delicious sushi and even better staff. As a business traveler I love finding spots like this where locals and employees have great relationships. Definitely will be back if ever in the area again. Highly recommend

Thank you for a fantastic Christmas dinner. The food is top-notch and the service is out of this world. Thank you for always making me feel welcome and giving me a little place to have a peaceful moment of quiet in this crazy world. I didn't take a picture of my food but I should have. It was perfect in every way. I will be back !

My clients picked this spot for lunch and they ordered online. I ordered the salmon teriyaki. When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I walked in and apparently spoke to the wrong person because he basically ignored me. When the lady server came out she greeted me and took my name and payment. Another nice lady came out and said the food would be ready soon. The food came out after about 5 more minutes and the nice lady handed me everything. When I got in I ate and the salmon was ok and so were the vegetables. I had a decent experience.

They serve Hibachi and sushi. We didn't get the hibachi, as we've come to the point where the entertainment of it all has worn off and we're really going to restaurants for the flavor! But maybe another time I'll come back to try the hibachi. So we dove into the sushi. Upon entry the building seems like a small hole in the wall spot and you can tell almost immediately from the atmosphere, the patrons, the staffs friendliness, and the large groups that come in at a time that this has to be a local spot for good sushi. The cocktails weren't anything special but they do have a full bar so don't be shy asking for what you like, the staff will be cheeky and have fun talking to you! We started with a shrimp dumpling appetizer and some miso soup. The soup was average and the dumplings full of flavor, definitely recommend if that's your style. Moving into sushi, they have an extensive list of classic rolls as well as special rolls on the back. We ended up getting 8 rolls in total, 5 different classics and 2 different specials ( we doubled up on spicy scallop rolls!). The classic rolls have an amazing filling to rice ratio and the ingredients all tasted fresh! I don't have a single bad remark on any of the rolls we had. None of them were the best sushi I've ever had, but they were filled above average and flavor was also above average. I even tried a fully vegetarian squash roll and it was incredibly full and flavorful! The signature rolls are where they lost us both though. The Christmas roll was flat in flavor but the texture was great, and the rock n roll didn't quite deliver any "lobster" flavor I expected from lobster paste. So all in all stick with the classics unless something really pulls you in, but if it does hedge your expectations. The classic rolls are WAY MORE than enough to satisfy and have quite a variety. I'll look around to compare, but I think they landed another regular customer for sushi.

5 adults and 2 children in our party. Our server, Dennis was absolutely amazing! My water was never empty, he was SO great with the boys (kids 4 and 3). Most servers treat kids like they're a bother. Not Dennis! He joked with them and brought them cups with lids! Dinner was delightful! Our chef was a lot of fun too! I never did catch the zucchini in my mouth but it didn't stop me from trying. Such a fun time. Had the shrimp and scallops. Yum! The others had steak and chicken dishes. All were delicious and perfectly prepared. Oh the dumplings appetizer was spot on! Also the Kahni special was out of this world! I could eat a few of them for an entree! So fresh and tasty! We celebrated my sister's birthday and Dennis brought her ice cream with a candle. It was great and everyone sang to her. Dennis really made our visit special. He is probably the best server we've had anywhere. We will be back for sure! Thank you.

I hate here with 3 of my girlfriends, one of whom currently lives in Scranton. Though we made a reservation, we sat at the sushi bar since it was pretty packed. The staff was gracious and friendly. They offered to split up our checks since we'd planned on paying with 4 different debit cards. I ordered two sushi rolls, a sweet potato tempura and a Philadelphia roll. My friends ordered one of the Special Salmon rolls and the Kani salad. I don't like imitation crab, but the presentation of this salad was lovely. The crab was shredded with cucumber atop a clean, white plate. Beautiful! The sushi was fresh and presented nicely on white plates. We didn't wait too long for our food, in spite of the large amount of patrons in the restaurant. Two of us ordered dessert, red bean mochi. It was a great way to end the meal, but I've had better mochi. This was felt somewhat frozen. It was also freezing since the door was opened and closed constantly. Mind you, we were seated at the sushi bar, towards the back of the restaurant. Overall, great service, good sushi, clean restaurant, good company. When I'm in Scranton, Osaka will be my official sushi spot. Hopefully it'll be warmer!

Prices are good. Seaweed salad was typical but good. Fish in philly roll was a little stringy. Baby octopus appetizer was good.

The lights were off in the restaurant so we weren't sure they were open. However they sat us and quickly turned the lights on. After that somewhat trepidatious start, things went uphill. The owner was serving us and was super attentive. We got a variety of rolls, including the Out of Control Roll (chosen for its fun name), Lovers Roll, Sashimi Naruto roll, and Spider Roll, along with Tamago and Fish Roe Sashimi. The sushi was gorgeously plated. The Out of Control Roll was my favorite, great textures and very indulgent. The sauce beneath the lovers roll was super tangy. Overall, a good pick for sushi in Scranton. I'd go back if I was in the area.

She actually rolled her eyes when we asked for wasabi and Ginger prior to ordering our dinner. Food was actually not bad although the soft shell crab in the Spider Roll was on the cheap side but otherwise food was decent but definitely will not be back. I don't typically like to leave bad reviews for small businesses because I like to see them Thrive but if you don't like waiting on people, then don't own a restaurant!!

One could spend hours looking at the incredible shadowboxes, model trains, war memorabilia, movie displays, model ships, etc, not to mention the Dunder Mifflin gift shop! The food, however, is another story. The menu is large and varied and has some delicious appetizers (particularly the Bang Bang Srimp and the Crab Balls--addictive) and entrees too, but the very pricey stars of the menu leave much to be desired. The "Just Seafood" entree looks mouthwatering by description and costs forty effing dollars, but I'm being completely honest when I tell you everything on that plate was drier than a popcorn fart. The dish comes with shrimp, scallops, and lump crab meat. The best thing on the plate was the THREE scallops they provided. The crab was genuinely the worst, driest crab I've ever had. Worse than low-quality frozen snow crab at Red Lobster or the grocery store. The shrimp was overcooked and pathetically seasoned with a light sprinkle of paprika (which fell mostly on one shrimp and none of the others). I had to salt my own food at the table because everything was flavorless. All in all, if you're in Scranton because you like The Office, stop here and have some CHEAP starters and drinks, grab some cool Dunder Mifflin merchandise at the gift shop, and enjoy all the awesome art they have at Coopers. Pay no mind to their expensive seafood, it sucks. Service: the waitstaff are lovely, friendly and attentive. They're great and deserve praise!
