We moved to Petaluma in 2007 and proceeded to fall in love with the eclectic little town. After renting and doing some of our own research of properties on the internet we decided it was time to get a professional realtor on the case who had a commanding knowledge of the area and would successfully assist us in finding our dream home. I had said goodbye to family and friends in the city where I was raised so I had high expectations that this, our final nesting place, was going to be pretty darn close to the wish list I had been carrying around for the last two years. After speaking to a few agents and being totally disillusioned by their lackluster responses (even at a time when the market was at record lows) I stumbled upon our heroine, Elaine. She happened to answer the phone late on a Friday night on a referral we had. Even at this point, there were many issues that needed crosschecking and confirming and Elaine followed up on every detail making the occupancy of our home the pleasure we had hoped it would be. I was born in Petaluma and graduated from Petaluma High School in 1964. I now live in Georgia and have also lived in Texas and Lousiana. My mother lived in the Penngrove area and died last year while we were visiting her. It was a total shock and unexpected. My sister and I were left with everything to take care of, including selling the property. I had known Robert Ramirez and his family since our childhoods and he was the only one we considered to handle the sale since my sister and I both lived out of state. In fact, Robert's mother was the last phone conversation my mother had. I called Robert and he came out and looked over the property and surveyed things that needed to be done. There were things that I had never thought of. He arranged for everything to be done, including getting a dumpster, well testing, septic tank testing and pumping, termite and mechanical inspections, and chimney inspection and cleaning. After we had removed everything from the house, Robert had people come in to clean it and have the outside recyclable items taken away. Elaine was great in adding personal touches to different rooms that added to the appearance. The property was on the market for less than a week at a time when real estate was having a difficult time. Robert and Elaine stayed on top of everything and left nothing to chance. We could not have asked for a better experience of selling and also feel we would have had just as good an experience if we were buying. Although we met Robert in the local dog park in 1993 and thought he was the nicest fellow we didn't need his professional help until we purchased our second home in Petaluma in 2005. We are so glad we asked Robert and Elaine to help us with that search (it took 8 months to find the right property). We used them again for a recent sale in Santa Rosa that just closed in March 2011.
