When visiting dermatologists in the past, I would often spend more time with the nurse than the actual doctor. Dr. Edwards entered the room, sat and listened to my acne life story from beginning to end. Her genuine concern and determination to provide a lasting solution was so comforting. The initial regimen she subscribed didn't provide the results she was satisfied with, so on the next few visits she tweaked the regimen until she was satisfied with the results. But the visits weren't all about her satisfaction! Dr. Edwards informed me that she was quite the perfectionist and told me to slow her down or say pause if it seemed like she was seeking perfection beyond my comfort zone. As months went by, my face totally cleared up. I've suffered with acne off and on since I was 15 years old and my face has NEVER looked this good. I've had a clear face before, but there would always be bumps under the surface. My complexion is as close to flawless as I've ever experienced. In my first visit, I was almost in tears due to the severity of my acne. I would cry myself to sleep each night and didn't want to leave the house during the day. My most recent visit to Dr. Edwards left both of us hugging each other and feeling relieved at how much my life had changed as a result of her efforts to clear my skin. I told her many times that I did not want to be bigger than I was. Once it was finished and I was at my post-op she said "I had hoped to make you bigger but it wasnt safe" which shows she didnt listen to me at all and I am indeed bigger than I wanted. I have young children including a baby and work at a daycare and she had to advice about how to help prevent damage or injury with little ones. Luckily I had a nurse who was able to help with suggesting protective pillows, etc. As I mentioned I told her each time I had a baby. The whole time I was told no lifting more than 10 pounds for 6 weeks. I planned for 6 weeks to have help from family and friends. At my post-op at 6 weeks she said everything looked good. I said "Ok so I can lift my 25 lb baby now" She said no, you want to wait 3 more months to lift that much weight. I said "Thats something you should've told me before." She rudely replied "Would that have changed anything?" YESSSS I wouldnt have done this part of it! Luckily I have had 4 cousins who have gone through reconstruction (with different doctors) and each of their doctors said 4-6 weeks and then they could lift their children, babies, costco groceries, etc. No one ever said 3 months, she is just afraid of being sued. Not to mention, one of my breasts is dented a bit. Would NOT recommend.

Based on photos of his prior patients, I found his work to be exactly what I was looking for and after our in-person meeting, I did feel comfortable to proceed. I had the procedure done in the beginning of October, the recovery process was much more intense than I had thought. A week after my procedure, I had a follow-up check up, after waking up at 4:00am and driving 3 hours, Dr. Magge did not meet with me, his assistant did. Had I known that would be the case, I would have done a video conference call. She said everything looked fine. After 3 weeks, I still had severe bruising and was swollen. I also noticed one of my eyes were droopy and it was the opposite eye of my eye that actually did droop all of my life. I called the office to ask if the healing process was normal and they said it was. When I mentioned it to the assistant, she had mentioned a "push-up" method but said Dr. Magge would let me know if I should try and he never did. Also, there is a scar of when he did the procedure, not on my eyelid but underneath. I have been using scar medication every day for 2 months to try and make it less visible. The scars are not horrible but def. noticeable. It's a 'light' noticable line scarring under the eyes. They were supposed to reach out after 3 months to see if extra fat graphing was needed or any revisions and have yet to hear back. They never reached out to see if i was okay or even satisfied w/ the work done AFTER I was fully healed. My eyelid healed with a funny shape. The pinch method only seem to work on one eye hence the drooping lower eyelid. I feel I need to wear eyelash extensions all the time so my eyes look even. I do believe in the future I will need a revision. I am disappointed, I had hoped this practice would have been what I had needed to assist with this issue that had bothered me for so long. I wished they had been more comforting and had followed-up. Unfortunately I do not recommend this practice for eyelid procedures. However Megan Love is awesome! I refused. As I began to get dressed , he quickly agreed to do it himself. I awoke to a jagged scar which obviously was not the work of a plastic surgeon or Friedman did it in haste juggling 2 surgeries in tandem. He did lipo on the wrong side of my abdomen . Dr Friedman told me to come back and have a thermage treatment and charged me. It did nothing. Dr Friedman accepted no responsibility.The drainage hole was a hack job.He refused to put a stitch in it. When I went for my post op he removed the tube and refused to repair the jagged hole.I have an unnecessarily visible scar that could have been closed properly. His nurse shook her head when he left the room and concurred that he is arrogant. Dr Friedman you leave the future world a better place. You are a hack. I wish you had done it long ago . He has apparently sold his practice to Dr. Jessica Weber. (Her name is now on the door.) Anyhow, Jenny the lovely receptionist is still there. She greeted me with a hug. I got an appointment the same day, and only had to leave work an hour early. Dr. Weber is great. She took some X-rays to make sure the tooth was OK before referring me to an endodontist that I had seen before. We talked about another tooth I had cracked (but, ignored). She glued my crown back on, and I returned two days later for a much needed cleaning. I don't know why I waited so long. Time just escaped me. I'll miss Dr. Barnett, but l am happy he trusted the care of his patients to Dr. Weber's care.
