If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I asked for layers in my hair and face framing and they gave me the opposite. I even showed them an inspo picture. They cut my hair way too short and when it came to the front layers they cut it way too short. Now it looks horrible. One side is longer than the other. And mind you the side that is shorter there is NO FIX TO IT. Definitely do not recommend this place. They don't know what they are doing. They took over 2 hours to give me a bad haircut. read more

Definitely a waste of time and money. A raggedy, money hungry, place with old, out dated equipment, facilities, products and everything else. I'm not sure how this place is even open legally. There isn't enough space or class rooms to accommodate all of the students. The products YOU pay for with your tuition are the cheapest of cheap...the tuition doesn't include anything other than one t shirt, one smock and a luggage full of dollar store products. They make you PAY $20 for another shirt/smock. The rules change every day. It's really one big shit show. One would think that with the amount of money this "school" is charging each student, each year that they would have been able to update something; Anything. But Nope. The basement where a class room and the "break room" is (where you're supposed to eat lunch at) smells like sewage and mold. The other locations in Ocean, N. Plainfield and West New York are Very nice facilities meanwhile the very first Robert Fiance in Perth Amboy is old, filled with mold, can not accommodate all of the many students there with things like: PROPER CLASSROOMS TO PRACTICE; they pack everyone in small closet like classrooms with out adequate electrical sockets, enough chairs, or even space to use all of the chairs at the same time. The floors are never mopped, the bathrooms are always nasty. The only nice place this "school" has to offer is the MAKEUP ACADEMY which is clean, up to date and looks like the other locations. Probably because it costs over 5k for a 5 week CERTIFICATE course which does not take financial aid by the way... It's as if Robert Fiance does not care about the community in which there are in!! They invest in All the other locations and Over look this one!!! Please save yourself the head ache and go to a real school. Oh and the other reviews; I read them and thought there was no way in hell that they could be true....but sadly, they are. The owners of this place can not have a single once of morals or integrity because if they did, they'd take some of the thousands they're making in tuition and revamp this whole entire place. Shame on you for charging people and calling this place a school. This is probably the worst decision anyone can make if your deciding to come into the beauty.. the school is a complete joke, disorganized, dirty and the moral is poor. If you were to ask every student that walked out after class what they learned the couldn't and wouldn't be able to help you. Their tuition at the school is an insult to what they give you with it. 20,000 for cosmo and 4,700 for nail tech program.. YOU LEARN NOTHING... This school should be shut down for cleanliness alone. Dirty is an understatement. Bathroom smells like urine and poop, sinks are filled with hair and other nasty stuff half the time. The administration is a mess. If you were to ask three people in the office a question each of them give you a different answer or refer you to state board. Call state board and they tell you it's the school. Everything is always an issue. I can't speak for every program but the nail program is certainly lacking. No demos. No trips. Barely any supplies and when you do order it takes months to receive them. Teachers are always being fired (in every program). Super unsatisfied. Shouldn't have waisted my money. This is not a fake review. Since the administration is so VERY CONCERNED. I do not own any fake accounts. I am a student who was ENROLLED. BEWARE!!! This school is a joke!!! Do not waste your money or time coming! The first warning should be with the lady who introduces you to the school. Very unprofessional and will tell about everybody she know that is famous but can not break down the school courses. Next the curriculum is all over the place and with no structure. Plus the school does not even have the proper supplies to conduct the practicals that are needed to be preform for a grade . And the "thousand dollar " suitcase of supplies they give is completely useless and Is filled with the cheapest of quality products. Love every minute of it. teachers are great and overall it is a life changing experience where I get to do what I love everyday. I am currently enrolled in the Makeup Artistry program where I am training in Beauty Makeup and Special FX. After I earn my certification as a Professional Makeup Artist, I will be starting the Cosmetology Program and working my way towards becoming a Licensed Hairstylist. @Susana-Jean I graduated from Robert Fiance yesterday and it was bitter sweet for me. Excited to start my new journey but definitely going to miss attending RFMA. Ms. Sherry is an amazing instructor and super talented/creative. She will work with you every step of the way. Before i came to RFMA i could only apply makeup on myself and really didn't know the techniques and steps on how to do a makeup application. Now i walk out of RFMA with confidence knowing the proper tools and the proper steps . Not only did i have the pleasure on meeting Ms. Sherry but i also got to know Ms. Renee and Ms. Jacky who are incredible people. They will guide anyone and share there knowledge thru this whole process to become ready for the beauty industry. I highly recommend RFMA to any aspiring makeup artist!!!! read more

I'm not one to write bad reviews but this school definitely deserved one. It is complete FALSE ADVERTISEMENT! I should've known the moment I entered the building. All the students talk about is how bad the school is. They even told me after I already started that if they could've warned me about it they would've. So now I'm warning everyone else. The entire school is SO unorganized. You would think they're responsible for recording your hours as TEACHERS since that's what your grade is based on but instead they depend on students for it. Teachers DO NOT care about you at all. There's so much favoritism in that school, they don't treat everyone equally. They lose sign in sheets and don't give you credit for being there. They get disrespectful if they don't like something instead of trying to help you. I had a teacher ask me if I was "slow" because I asked her for help with something and she didn't want to explain it to me again. Let alone, they barely ever had the products we needed. Most of the time students have to step out to the beauty supply store to buy the products with their own money. You would think the amount you pay for the tuition would cover it but it doesn't. The curriculum does not make sense AT ALL. One day you're doing nails, next day you're learning how to do a men's haircut, day after that you're doing skin care. There is no consistency in order to learn properly. By the time juniors have enough hours to become seniors, they aren't able to pass the test because they haven't been taught what they needed yet. You'll be a junior longer than you expect. I met a couple students who were there almost a YEAR and still didn't have all the equipment they needed. They give you a luggage full of equipment and make you go through each and every thing in there to make sure nothing is missing. Shouldn't these luggage's be prepared for new students already? Best part is, after they check everything they don't give you the missing equipment until the day you need it in class. If they don't have it (usually don't) they make you ask another student to share theirs with you. This school is a complete MESS and waste of time. They do not know what they're doing. Not at all what a school should be like. If you like clean environments don't expect this school to be one. This school is SUPER FILTHY and smells disgusting. They make you eat lunch in the basement and it smells like a bathroom. I don't know how they get away with inspection. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY. I'll give this school one star for effort and for the few teachers who do their job correctly other than that the school is poorly ran. First thing I have to say is do your research before choosing a school. I thought this school would be okay especially because of its location but I was wrong. Throughout the program I realized that the school is not worth the money I'm paying for. Starting from the basic needs, the school does not even have its own parking. You have to go through the hassle of putting quarters into a meter each day and half of the time the machines do not even work. Another thing is some teachers absolutely don't care, they are sending students to the next classroom without having their work or hours complete just because they have too many students in one class. So why is the director/school manager of the school even allowing that? Students are not properly learning whats on curriculum then if they are moving them with missing assignments.The same teachers who are moving up their students too quick are too worried about running around the whole school doing nothing that they go missing from their classrooms, how are students supposed to learn that way if they can't ask for help when needed because the teacher is not present. Another issue in that school is that rules just apply to certain students, yes that is called favoritism. Some students have control over teachers, if they say things are done this way then that is how they are done but the rest of the students need to follow the same rules that should be applied to EVERYONE. In the rules it clearly states that students should have all of their tools everyday if not they are to be signed out. But some students have to borrow everything cause they are not well prepared so why are they not getting signed out? There is so much more to this school but once again do your research before choosing. read more
