Everyone is familiar with the famous LOVE sculpture that was created by artist Robert Indiana. You can find this beautiful landmark right here in Rosemead, at the entrance of the Panda Restaurant headquarters. This sculpture has been here since 2018 and was donated by the Cherng family (the founders and owners of the famous Panda restaurant chain). Visitors are welcomed to come and take a photo, with parking available. I came by here with my husband and our little girl dog on a Saturday last month, during golden hour to take a few photos. Although a few other Yelp members had mentioned that a security guard may have approached them on their visit, we were not bothered when we came. We saw a car further away, closer to the entrance of the building and assumed it was security but no one approached us as we took our photos. The LOVE sculpture it nestled into what looks like a fountain but there is no water in it, but does have the illusion that there is water. When we came, we were the only visitors but as we were leaving, we happened to see another car parked and heading towards this sculpture to take photos too. If you come during the weekend, I don't think you have to worry about waiting in line for a photo or for others to be in your photo (don't you just hate that?). This sculpture and hidden roadside attraction is definite worth a drive.

If you are in LA and don't mind a bit of a drive for a photo drop, this Robert Indiana Love Sculpture is for you. If you are into Andy Warhol and pop art, it's a quck, neat stop. My dream is to visit New York and I always saw photos of people in front of a Love Sculpture so this was my way of getting a taste of New York. Apparently, this was bought by someone with lots of $ and moved from Manhattan to California. Others reported the Manhattan one is in Miami. Either way, don't expect much other than a cute photo because it is in front of Panda Express Headquarters. There are no beach or scenic views. Just this sculpture. Also, getting on that fountain in stillettos was harder than it looked.

Been a while I chased art haha. Stopped by with my mom and to be honest, didn't really take the time to admire and enjoy the art haha. There was a security guard in his cart nearby and lots of cars leaving the parking lot so we focused on quickly taking some pictures and watching out of the cars. But it was a nice art piece, really happy I got to check it out and find a gem in our backyard basically. Who knew such a treasure would be in Rosemead. There are a total of 50 LOVE signs around the world and we have one here. Amazing!

"All you need is love..." --The Beatles I saw Alana's check in at this bright red sculpture in Rosemead, California and made it a point to go see it for myself! It's located at the parking lot entrance of the Panda Restaurant Group and is surrounded by water...like a moat protecting a Castle! It turns out that the LOVE Sculpture by Robert Indiana can be seen in many states across the USA (Florida, Maine, Utah, Kansas, Michigan, Vermont, etc.) and even in countries such as Hong Kong, Spain, Philippines, England, Taiwan, Canada, China, and Japan. In Jerusalem, the Hebrew word for "love" is featured! Cool, huh? Wow! I'm really happy I experienced it in person! It's better in real life! Since today is Thanksgiving, I wish you lots of love...today and always! "Love is all you need!" --The Beatles

So simple, yet speaks volumes! "Love makes the world go round"!! I was surprised to find this sculpture in Rosemead! If you are searching for it, look for the Panda Restaurant Group's sign. It's just inside the entrance driveway. This sculpture sits in the middle of a fountain (or raised water area since there's no visible flowing water). The letters L-O-V-E are painted in their iconic red. So vibrant! Just like the postage stamp from 1973, this looks exactly the same! LO sits above the letters VE in a nice square shape. I saw another one of these LOVE sculptures in Scottsdale, Arizona and the side edges were all painted in blue as a contrast. These letters are red all the way around. I'd say it's worth a quick visit to snap a few pictures here!

The LOVE Sculpture is exactly as it promises. An iconic version of the NYC/Philadelphia/etc landmark hosted in our very own suburban Los Angeles! This version is particularly stunning in that it is centered in a fountain nestled between manicured green lawns... a sharp contrast to the urban/concrete setting of other renditions. Unfortunately, this sculpture is not in a public location. It is located at the Panda Express corporate office. I visited on a quiet Saturday morning (where few are at the office) and like others was immediately approached by a security guard on a golf cart who asked me "How can I help you?" I explained that I was there to take pictures in front of the sculpture and he told me I was allowed to do so as long as I did not lean on/touch the fountain wall. The security guard then drove off but monitored me from a distance for 10 - 15 minutes before being occupied with other stuff. He was not unfriendly for security but if being approached and then monitored isn't your thing then this attraction may not be for you. Overall, this was a decent experience and I recommend it if you are in the area. Parking: The sculpture is located at Panda Express corporate office and there is tons of parking. Tips: * You WILL be approached and monitored by security, though, their current policy is to allow visitors to take sculpture pictures. * No touching the fountain wall. * Sculpture is in middle of parking lot island but there aren't many cars there on a weekend.

It's a beautiful sculpture by Robert Indiana. We took so many pics for Valentine's Day. We had a blessed day with my daughter.

I always thought the LOVE sculpture is elsewhere until I drove pass by this recently. I got super excited to see it in person! This sculpture is surrounded by water so can't get on the letters, but it's just as nice! It's very pretty if you go at night too. The spot lights just gave it a different feel.

Look at Rosemead, getting all fancy with their own LOVE Sculpture! Located within the Panda Express Corp parking lot, you are welcome to drive right in, parking in the designated parking space, or Panda's guest parking (that's what I did) and pop in for a quick pic. Normally when you go into Panda's parking lot, the security guards with come on over and hassle you, but since they have this now, they only watch from afar. I don't think a lot of people know yet, so going now is the best time, there is no wait. It's not packed or busy, so whats not to LOVE!?

This very random roadside attraction is the perfect selfie station! Just outside Panda Express' Panda Restaurant Group headquarters, you'll find California's first Robert Indiana's Love Sculpture. There is plenty of parking.

I'm glad to cross this photo op off my bucket list!! It's close to home (!!!!), in a nice quiet parking lot near honey boba, Panda Express, and Walmart. I was happy there weren't many people today. I took some sweet wide angle shots with a drone. I like that there is a water around it. No coins inside, so I assume it is not a wishing well. I didn't throw any coins in. I would recommend anyone to come here for a nice photo! I am happy I don't have to go all the way to the east coast for this iconic picture!

My dog at the love sign.

I went here when it first opened. It's a fun edition to Rosemead. I love how it has its own parking too.

Recently I learned the rusted metal beam is from the fallen World Trade Center and the two hands holding it up are made of nearly 3,000 silhouettes of doves, each representing a life lost on 9/11. The sculpture, named 'Reflect' was created by local artist Heath Satow, and it was completed and unveiled in 2011. Since then, memorials have been held there in the anniversary of the terrorists attacks. The memorial sculpture sits in front of Rosemead's City Hall in the middle of a public plaza and serves as a remembrance of the somber day, yet it's a beautiful and meaningful art piece for people to see.

There is also a lovely grassy area in the center where you can sit, relax, or have a small picnic. Geese walk freely around the gardens, and colorful parrots fly overhead, adding even more charm to the atmosphere. In April, the garden looks especially stunning -- the pergola and trees are in full bloom (I wish I remembered the names of those gorgeous flowers!), and the whole place feels alive and magical. Honestly, this garden is beautiful in any season of the year. You can come here with dogs, which is a big plus, but it's important to respect the property rules: pets must be on a leash, owners are responsible for cleanup, professional photography requires a permit, and activities like skateboarding, drinking alcohol, or organized sports events are not allowed. These rules help preserve the calm and cleanliness of the space. There is also a secondary school located on the property, which adds to the unique character of the place. Parking-wise, we were able to find free street parking nearby without any issues. This is a perfect spot to slow down, enjoy nature, and escape the city noise for a while. It was the first ever grist mill constructed in the early 19th century California to serve Mission San Gabriel; and personally designed and supervised by Padre JM de Zalvidea. It's facility was powered by a waterwheel. Impressive!! Walking around The Old Mill you'll notice it has a fortress-like design with five ft thick brick walls surrounding the mill's 43,500+ sq ft grounds. It serve as a protection in the event of disturbances during that time. Moreover, throughout its history it was vandalized, foreclosed, sold and passed down to state/city, to prominent California families and a company. Blimey!
