There are some structures that were old homes that are no longer in existence except for a fireplace.

Most people haven't even heard of SFS and if they have it's mostly known for commercial business rather than beautiful scenery. This park is so serene, even on a weekend! It's gated with two sides for entry so it's open during certain hours. The park hosts a few events during the year but if you visit on a random day, you're likely to find yourself enjoying the history of the park, the area and the peacefulness nature brings.

The sign stopped me. Dry leaves. Rotting fruits. Decaying garden shed. Tombstone. Sitting space for burnouts. Vintage gas pumps. Abandoned orange-yellow school buses. I walked around the happy yellow mansion. This place was weird. I didn't even go inside. Some Chinese men walked in circles in the parking lot. Maddening moments from gates and locks. The ambiance alone was eeriness too the max. The John A Rowland House was something for me to do... Since, I was in the area and all. I don't recommend anybody loitering, but I did it.

Being a resident of La Mirada for the past 21 years, Neff Park has been one of my favorite local…read moreplaces to visit when I'm looking to get out of the house for a bit and decompress. It's a great place to bring your lunch or sit on the grass and enjoy a good book. The play area was remodeled not long ago and is a great place for kids to play and run around. If you're into visiting historic homes like I am, the Neff Estate is a must visit. Tours are given every third Saturday of the month from 2-4 pm. Tours are free, donations accepted. The George House and Neff Barn are also on site, however they are not part of the tour. During La Mirada's Halloweenfest, the George House is open for viewing and the Neff Barn is turned into a haunted maze. There is a beautiful gazebo on site as well, perfect for special occasion photos.

The location itself is located inside a parking lot and usually has a security guard patrolling around the area. I personally haven't parked at the lot in order to get to this structure as it's part of the Panda Express HQ's area so they may get the tendency of shooing those away not there for business. However if you just park nearby and walk to this place, I don't believe they'll mind anyone who's looking to grab a few snaps of this fun piece.

The hike is has limited shade and it's challenging and strenuous, still people of all ages come to the trails. It's also dog friendly. The negative- parking , you have to beware of the signs on the street, the parking on premises is very limited and sometimes closed. Trail open at 9 am - 5 pm daily, for some, not possible to come after work. :( Other than that it's amazing and satisfying.

It wasn't that far of a drive for us and parking. There was a lot of parking and it was free and I believe you had to purchase your times to go and you wait in line and then you also have to sign like a waiver or something We love seeing all these high technology and everything. It was so cool so much opportunities for photos and a lot of things to do with your kids and they seem super entertained. I think we went in and it took probably a good hour or so to see everything and do everything so if you were ever in the area, then totally check it out just kidding. The exhibit was closed now LOL
