The procedure was done pretty quickly, with little pain and the personal interaction/conversation was so pleasant. The office is very large, bright and beautiful. It really took away the gloom of coming to treat a painful tooth! I'd say the only con is having to pay everything upfront. It was just under $1,000 and that's a lot to come up with at once for some people, but you really can't avoid getting a tooth treated that could lead to infection. I think they could really benefit having a payment plan if authorized. Luckily it ended up being my Christmas present from some family. I'm not sure we could afford going here again (our dentist in Baraboo gave us a written referral to Capital, I think they have a partnership) but I do highly recommend it if you can afford the upfront cost. Great results and great specialists!

They were so caring-I was in so much pain-and they got me in early. They took a 3D Xray (not covered by insurance, but it was more than worth the money), which showed where the infection was. Dr. Downs showed it to me in the room and explained how he'd be fixing it by going UNDER the root canal, instead of removing the crown and re-doing the work. The technical skill alone is impressive, but the care was the most touching. They are so busy (I don't know when they even pause to eat lunch), but the brought me back in for the procedure (again, early because I was in pain) and the first thing they did was block me, so I wouldn't be in pain until my scheduled procedure time. I hope to never have that much tooth pain again. It really was miserable. But if it has to happen, I know where I'll be going immediately.

They concentrated their efforts on some long term work that would fetch a higher profit and glossed over the real reason I was there (tooth pain). Then I went to see Mark at WPD. It was an entirely PAINLESS process from waiting room to leaving. I was in the chair fast, Mark explained all of my options without a sales pitch and he had my filling done n 40 mins. I had a series of bad dental experiences in another state that scared me off. I went to Dr. Jim for a consultation and scheduled my appointment for two weeks later. It was nice to know what price to expect (by attending his consultation first). He is friendly and personable and works efficiently. I fully trust his skills- I think he loves what he does and he is very good at it. His staff was also very nice. They were sensitive to my TMJ and let me rest when I needed to.
