Robert's haircuts and color are like a spa date. I absolutely love my haircuts and color too, but now I'm a natural silver. I get a shoulder length cut with long layers and softness around the face. He is meticulous about his work! Then for the next 5 months , I watch my hair grow out and change styles. It's still a perfect haircut! And why like a spa date? As soon as I sit in his chair, Robert is massaging my shoulders and then plays with my hair as he looks through artist eyes at my hair. Then he continues our deep or not so deep conversations as he gives me a scalp massage with oil. I love this guy and have been with him 15 years. Robert is truly gifted. His technique is precise and focused, but he also has a great eye for what's beautiful and a sensitivity to your unique beauty. And he's funny. He has some jokes while he's doing your hair. I've known this lovely man since maybe '02 or '03. During this time my hair has been long, medium, short, highlighted, lowlighted, gold, platinum, beige, and brown. Robert can do it all, you know, he isn't stuck in one idea of what's beautiful or what can work for me. We've always had amazing hair cuts together, but, what I really want to focus on here is Robert's ability as a colorist. He has an eye for color, and a talent for mixing color, that I've never seen in any of the other dozens of folks who have colored my hair. His skill with toner is shockingly good: it is almost too good to believe. Also, he is the only person I would trust with corrective color. Once I dyed my hair black (um, don't ask) and of course I wanted it to be blonde again. Do you know who worked it out for me? Robert. Yeah, it took time and we went through a series of treatments and looks, but it worked out. And, none of my hair got burned off or fell out. Most people probably won't face something this intense, but I just want you to know that Robert has the confidence and skills to do it right. I was platinum for a couple of years too, and living in LA, and this one woman was doing toner and lowlights on me because I wanted to change my hair color again. Well, it was a sad day when some of my hair got burned off. Really sucked, folks, really sucked. I got a hair cut up here, but what was I going to do about the color? Oh, guess it's time to drive down to see Robert. Then I had tears in my eyes on the way back home because my hair looked so damn good. I've been searching for someone with magic fingers to cut my hair for years. I have naturally curly hair and, I don't care what anyone says, it's just hard to work with. Then I found Robert through a recommendation of a friend. Her long, straight blonde hair always looked phenomenal so I gave Robert a try too, why not!! I've been going to Robert for my hair and eyebrows for probably 8 years now. Definitely been worth it. I have thick brown hair with an asian flair with cowlicks and puffs in odd spots and Robert has made it work for me beautifully every time. I've had short hair, I've had longer hair and its always looked awesome. I have completely straight hair and Robert has cut it so well in ways that it gives off the illusion of wavy hair. I've asked for him for different styles and he's totally made them work. And with regards to my eyebrows, I ask for guybrows, so they're cleaned up but doesn't look like they're too thin, he does them great. I used to have a different eyebrow waxer but when Robert started doing mine I no longer needed the other person, so I can get all cleaned up in one visit. He's definitely a natural and a hair artist.
