The doctor and his wife Amber made me feel extremely comfortable with my consultation . He took the time to explain my different options , I booked my surgery the same day . -- that was my original review and I want to fast forward to present day August 2021 . My breast lift with implants has been a NIGHTMARE ! He completley botched my right boob ! Well both of them .The surgeon who gave me a quote today said my left one has possibly a capsular contracture and my implants that are a little over a year old cannot be reused due to risk of infection . I am updating my review to make others aware i have been quoted from 11,000-18,000 to fix the mistakes made to my original breast lift with implants . My right one is completley out of pocket all of my stitches split around my nipples for the lolipop lift on both breast , he told me to use glue from Home Depot to fix this and I thought it may have been the drugs until I heard other girls tell their story and say he told them the same . and I need a new lift with anchor as well as adding galaflex due to my skin elasticity . He botched my nipples completley one lays flat and one is raised , my implants one is flat on top and one sits high like it I supposed to . I completely skipped my one year post op appt because he will not get the chance to fix these mistakes . He actually told me at my six months it was my fault because I'm right hand dominant and that's why my right boob isn't in the pocket . He has been telling me since my 2 month follow up I needed a revision My nipples are 2 different sizes, not the same at all . I have had over 20 different opinions , and quotes from all kinds of surgeons to fix this to at least make wearing a tank top look normal I have waited a year for a revision because he told me I had to . I really thought I found a good surgeon and it has been a nightmare . The quotes are way more than I paid for the original surgery. It turns out there's a whole group of ladies he has botched , that are scared to come forward . I just feel like the truth needs to be told . My goal for this surgery was to improve my physical appearance and increase my overall self-image. Specifically, I have been dissatisfied with the shape of my butt, my large thighs and large arms. After years of working out and on and off diets, the decision was made to have cosmetic surgery. From that moment I started joining different groups and researching different doctors in order to start this journey. I toiled with the idea of going overseas versus remaining local, and ultimately the decision was made to find a local doctor for recovery and safety purposes. It was at that time I started to inquire about doctors in the Houston area and was provided several doctors who would be an option. One of those doctors included Dr. Kratschmer, who was suggested by one of his office employees through a Facebook surgery group.  She stated that she was a patient of his and spoke highly of his work. It wasn't until I was added to the doctors personal surgery group page that I realized she was also an employee. While in the group everyone commended the customer services and bedside manner. The actual Facebook group was fairly new so reviews of his work were limited. I researched Dr. Kratschmer and verified that he was board certified and had no major infractions against him. I then scheduled a consultation with him as well as other doctors I looked into. During the consultation it was determined that all of the areas I had been dissatisfied with could be included in the discounted special they were currently offering. I inquired about issues such as loose skin and was informed that due to my age and lack of stretch marks I should not have an issue in that area. I was ecstatic and eager to get the process started. Communication prior to surgery was great and everything flowed smoothly. Immediately after surgery I did not see the desired results, but I assumed it was due to swelling, bruising etc. I was also told by the doctor at the one month follow up that I wouldn't notice any changes until about 2 months post-op and that swelling should be fully gone by 6 months. I consistently monitored my body as I continued with my follow up appointments. I occasionally reached out to the doctor's office letting them know that I was concerned about my back area not being touch in addition to seeing no changes in the other areas operated on. I was told that it was too soon to be looking for results and that I was going to drive myself crazy. At the 3 1/2 month appointment I attempted to voice these concerns again.  I did not get the opportunity to fully express the concerns as the appointment was very rushed and only lasted 3 minutes.  I was told that I was still swollen and that it may take up to a year to see final results. I was also told that I have loose skin and would like need a full body lift, similar to the tummy tuck I received, in ordered to get the desired outcome. This was a significant difference from the initial 6 months I was originally told and the information I was given about my skin. Currently I am 4 months post op and my appearance, measurements and weight are the same as I was prior to surgery in addition to some denting and lumps that were not previously present. I have emailed the doctor's office to further detail what I attempted to say during the follow up appointment. No response has been received as of yet. I take my photos, measurements and weight weekly as I continue to monitor for results. As of right now there have been no changes. This process has been emotionally and mentally taxing to say the least. I went into this process hoping to increase my self-confidence. I wanted to be able to wear a bathing suit or certain clothes without being self-conscious about all of my imperfections. Unfortunately, since having this surgery I am more self-conscious than I have ever been. I have multiple vacations coming up and one of my main concerns is how will I disguise these flaws that are present. I have made financial sacrifices as well as time taken away from my son and job. The courage it took for me to even tell people I was having surgery was a lot.  Now I feel embarrassed and regret even mentioning it because I am constantly subjected to questions or comments regarding the lack of changes seen in my body. This experience has truly been upsetting and stressful. My original goal to improve my physical appearance and increase my overall self-image still remains however the outcome has been quite the opposite. Multiple areas in my life have been affected from this including my fear of intimacy. I have resumed exercising and dieting in hopes of achieving a body that I can somewhat be comfortable with and not ashamed of. read more

I'm glad you brought up my RealSelf post. That was immediately following the surgery and I was super excited, but after about three months you can see that the results were not a streamlined sleek stomach, it was lumpy, ( still lumpy ) the cut is also higher on one side than the other and shows when wearing regular swimsuit or bikini bottoms which no longer lets me wear swimsuits without a cover up. There is extra skin on one side that shows over my swimsuit line and it doesn't look good, I don't look like I've had a tummy tuck, even after working out everyday and eating right for the past few years. Not to mention the scarring I described in the earlier post. When I Asked Dr K about the incision when I first noticed it during an appointment he said it's because my body is crooked. I decided to do liposuction (Smartlipo) of my arms, upper abdomen, and flanks. Honestly zero pain, just some aches and soreness which have already subsided after 2-3 days. I am a busy mom of 6 plus 2 grandkids. I am already back to normal. I must start from the beginning. Being able to get a price quote online and then booking an office consultation was super easy. I was able to get into the office in 2 days. You don't wait more than a few minutes in the waiting area. (Ample parking area right out front). You come back for the consult with Dr. K. he took photos, they give a thorough and honest evaluation of what you would like done and what he can do. Then for the surgery appointment, I was able to get in within 1 week. I came in bright and early, and everyone was cheerful, and helped ease my anxiety and nerves. Sheila is the best front office/medical assistant you will meet. She has been there with the practice for quite a while. She knows the drill. It may be routine to her, but your visit will be anything but that. You are treated special. She is funny, and trust me, she has some jokes! :) She was there from start to finish. So after she gets you prepped, Dr. K will come mark you and brief you with the details. Then I met Tam. She is awesome and trust me, she is the BEST anesthesiologist! She was with me for the duration of the surgery, and I knew I was in capable, caring hands. So when I woke up, all I remember was seeing Sheila and Tam, I thought they were angels. Amber came back to check on me, and Dr. K made sure I was good to go, they give you your papers and send you home. I am healing just as they said I would, and either way, I know they are just a phone call away. My arms are way slimmer, my upper abs has always provided a sort of shelf for my chest, and that is gone, my flanks, which is the area that gives you the curved hour glass shape between your ribs and hips, in front and back, its just as I hoped. my incisions are healed, my body is still swollen a bit, so I know my results will only continue to impress me! Great Doctor! Dr. K did numerous medically necessary surgeries on my husband after an accident and we were very pleased. We saw a different doctor at first and he didn't do a good job. My husband still has scars from what the other Doctor did. We saw Dr. K and you can't even really see any scars. He loves what he does and is very good. I highly recommend him! read more

The office staff, Amber and Amanda are not very friendly nor do they return calls when they say they will. I was scheduled for surgery and they did not give me proper instructions on what to do the day before and therefore I waited at the hospital for 5 hours without being able to get surgery. Then their staff never called me back to reschedule after I tried calling them several times. Sorry guys but this is not the only doctor in town. Will never recommend this doctor. read more

I had a few consultations before I went to this surgeon. I had a very pleasant experience and he was the only one who made me feel like he cares about his patients. He works with his wife and she is on the financial side of things and the one who talks you through everything. They have a skincare facility attached which I think it's great although I've never had anything done there. I would like to soon. Anyway his wife quoted me a price and they do the surgery right there he has a operating room so no hospital fees or wait. Very convenient. The staff was very friendly and the day of my surgery went very well. I had a breast augmentation and lift . I am very happy with the results. I haven't been able to get to all my follow up appointments but I will be back. I will definitely be back to get the other procedures I want. read more

Several months ago I underwent an invasive laser procedure in the Dr. Kratschmer's office. Before the procedure, I had a few things done on the spa side. Ashley is the one I highly suggest. She is professional, highly knowledgeable, and caring. Ask for her. At first, I wasn't real sure what I wanted done or what I needed done on the clinic side to get a change that would really make me feel like myself again. You see, when I looked in the mirror a year ago, I didn't recognize the person I saw. Even a quick look made me feel bad. So, I stopped looking. But, other people often asked me why I was unhappy... most the time nothing was wrong. So, no matter how I felt on the inside, the face in the mirror was all other people saw. It haunted me a lot. That is exactly what I told Dr. Kratschmer. He said that he had a relatively new laser procedure that could return my face to a more youthful look. And that it would last a long time. He called it a Last Lift. He said it would take time to heal, and I would see some immediate results, but that my facial appearance would improve for months. The results was exactly what I wanted. I made the appointment and followed the pre and post procedure directions to the letter. To me, during the lift procedure, the laser procedure was no more painful than a Botox treatment, but took longer. We conversed the whole time. I felt secure and I continue to have every confidence in Dr. Kratschmer as I plan to have cellulose treatments soon. And, as for my face? I am now six months out. I am always mistaken for being MUCH younger than my age. I am often told that I seem to always smile. When I look in the mirror, I recognize myself.
