It took 2.5 months to file the initial probate petitions, and then it was another two months to the court date. Estate administration didn't happen. I don't know if something happened to him or if I was marked as a bad client, but his office stopped communicating altogether. I never received a disengagement notice, so assumed everything was progressing. I checked in about once a month for updates and didn't hear back. After four months, I asked if they were still working on our file and still heard nothing (not even a progress bill, which I guess says it all), so I disengaged and retained another attorney. If they were too busy, I would have appreciated a disengagement notice so that I could have retained another attorney more quickly. TLDR: Probate work was fine. Estate administration was nonexistent. Client communication was sparse.
