After moving to Fairhope, I went to this dentist based on proximity to my house. I went in for an…read moreannual check up with no current issues. They took the batch of typical X-rays and the next thing the dentist came in and suggested the removal of a tooth next to a dental implant. This is the first dentist I know that has ever suggested not saving a tooth. I contacted my old dentist from another state who took a look at my X-rays they had on file from just a couple months ago and he didn't see the logic. Furthermore, he advised that removing a tooth next to an implant actually causes more harm than good. Added to the insult, the dentist suggested the complete replacement of a perfectly good crown on the implant...a procedure which is NOT covered by insurance vs a "repair" which is covered. I guess some dentists see a couple of implants and think they can get more $$. I have had a lot of dental work done due to an accident so I know probably more about dentists than I care to admit. So, my best advice is to shop around...not all dentists are created equal. Even though dental insurance is pretty crappy, most dentists understand and work with insurance companies. Save your money and shop around and don't ever go to a dentist that suggest replacing perfectly good dental work just to get an extra dollar.

I was told the week prior I would have someone reach out to me, which they never did, hence my call. When I asked when or how this appointment was made, the receptionist was dismissive, unhelpful, and rude rather than clarifying the situation. This interaction was very off-putting and unprofessional, and it made me decide not to move forward with this practice. Not a good voice or representation to have for first impressions especially in healthcare. The receptions clearly does not care, isn't friendly, and both times calling she seems extremely annoyed by the fact that there's someone calling. Ridiculous

This Office is located on peachtree across from the hospital..the dentist I saw Brandy Adam's came…read morehighly recommended and I was not disappointed..she is very kind and really works with you not pressing you to make an immediate decision and she gives you options.. and listens..the office staff and the people who work with her make you feel so comfortable and I hate going to the dentist and actually I m a big baby about it..I tried putting a Location on the map and directions but it wouldnt let me but if you have GPS it is so easy to get there..the office is tucked into a wooded area making u feel happy seeing it and not like other office buildings.. it's like a little house. They also had essential oils in my room making me relaxed and believe me lavendar oil does that..

From the first time we stepped into Fairhope Bay Dental, we knew we had found such a place. The office staff is friendly, helpful, and kind. The hygienist is professional, knowledgeable, and thorough. Dr Avery is top notch and knows his stuff! The services he offers covers everything a dental patient could possible need. He even has conscious sedation for anxious dental patients like me and let me say it really works! During my latest procedure, I felt no pain and don't remember a thing. Recently Dr Avery repaired my smile from one I hid from embarrassment. I had ugly, brown, stained bottom teeth that made me feel so self conscious I would hide my smile most of the time. Dr Avery changed all that! Now I smile a lot to show my happiness because Dr Avery restored my bottom teeth to look even better than natural teeth in my opinion.
