Yeh listened to me patiently and recommended several tests such as ct scan, colonoscopy, and endoscopy.

Dr Lyons asked about other symptoms, and I told him I felt somewhat bloated. Ended up getting charged $1000 when I went to my colonoscopy, which is supposed to be fully covered by insurance. Found out Dr. Lyons coded it wrong under "distention" rather than "screening". He refused to correct the coding, telling me it would be medical malpractice. I guess he skipped his law classes in school, because re-coding is a super common occurrence. I know as I run all IT operations for 2 large hospitals. He lied to me to my face about that, then didn't do the banding he was supposed to do, so I ended up being $1000 out for something that was supposed to be fully covered, and still didn't get the primary thing done I went in to see him for. I would recommend that you bypass CRC and go to a clinic that follows ethical standards, unless you have a lot of money you don't want.

Let me start by saying that I am somewhat surprised by the overwhelming negative comments regarding…read morethis practice as my experience with them has been overall very positive. I have become a patient of LVG specifically my primary care is Mrs. Hazel Castro, APRN-C at the Maryland Parkway office. The reason for the visit was due to a Gall Bladder issue and an Iron Deficiency and this was the initial intake. One of the main concerns that I have seen voiced here is that she is a Nurse Practitioner while the MDs aren't accepting new patients and/or are reserved for procedures. In my personal opinion this is a non issue especially in Las Vegas; coming from Denver I had never been to a "doctors" appointment and met with a Nurse Practitioner however in Vegas is it very common. Overall I have found that NPs are as good as actual MDs when it comes to diagnosing and treating routine care concerns and they will refer you to an actual MD for more complex cases. Overwhelmingly the NPs that I have seen and my Spouse sees tend to have better bedside manners, are more patient, listen better, and have a overall equal or better quality of care when compared to a primary MD. With that said the concerns here are accurate, if you are a new patient to the practice you will likely be seen my a Nurse Practitioner rather than an actual MD; if this is not something you are comfortable with this is likely not going to be the practice for you. As for my experience I found the office to be extremely calming and well set up, the staff were attentive and efficient, the facility was clean, and the billing was what I was expecting given my insurance coverage. The wait time was next to nothing, my appointment was at 1:00pm and I was seen within 15 minutes which is truly a rarity at a specialists office, for context my cardiologist it is not unusual to have a wait time of 2+ hours after checking in and Endocrinology is generally at least 45 minutes if I am lucky. Nurse Castro was very knowledgeable and through; I appreciated that she had reviewed my referral and my primary cares records and had already requested and reviewed the tests that I had undergone before I had ever met with her. This was a incredible experience for me as I have the unfortunate luck of being under the care of several specialists and they are often unprepared and rushed which was not the case here. Nurse Castro was able to explain to me what the results were showing her, possible causes for the results, next steps, and the additional testing that she would like to have done to be able to ensure that we reach a diagnosis to treat. She explained things in a way that was very clear and easy to understand and I never received the feeling of being rushed which is common when I have seen specialists. Overall I have very pleased and impressed with the care that she provided to me. Following out appointment I was able to meet with the charge nurse who was able to schedule all of the procedures and provide me with all of the referrals that I would need while I was in the office which is a huge perk rather than having to reach out to multiple providers and juggle appointment times and dates. In addition I appreciate that they have their own ambulatory surgical center at a separate location so everything can be kept under one practice. The negatives I could point out is the building itself (on Maryland anyways) is a very non descript grey looking domicile that is seated in a rather odd location in relation to the road making it very easy to miss. There is no clear signage for the practice and the way you pull into the parking lot feels like a wrong turn pulling up to an abandoned building. Second the ambulatory center is quite a distance from the medical office so if the location is a big factor this is likely not the location you would want to pick. Lastly I was referred to a General Surgeon and having selected this practice due to the proximity to Sunrise Hospital I was not thrilled to find out that the surgeon they partner with has two location both on clear opposite side of town from where her office is located. All in all while they are not perfect I was very pleased and am happy to have them as part of my care team.

I came in feeling sick and left feeling even worse because of the way I was treated. Dr. Sood was extremely rude, harsh, and showed a complete lack of empathy. No patient should be spoken to the way I was spoken to during this visit. What made the situation even more upsetting was that he spoke to me in a raised, disrespectful tone in front of staff, and loud enough that patients in the waiting area could hear. It was embarrassing and very unprofessional. The front office experience was not any better. The checkout assistant, Monce, seemed confused and disorganized, and I was given no clear follow-up instructions. For a specialist's office, this level of poor communication is unacceptable. After my visit, I contacted United Healthcare to report my experience, and I was advised to find another provider. After reading reviews online, I noticed many other patients reporting similar issues, which confirms that this was not an isolated experience. I would strongly caution anyone considering this doctor to read reviews carefully before making an appointment. When you are sick and vulnerable, the last thing you need is to feel disrespected and dismissed.

And it had spread to the bowels and Lungs. And she had 30 days. Now we had just been to Henderson Hospital in Sept of 2020, and they told her she had fatty liver. So after an exam the Dr said she has 4 liver masses one compressing the IVC which is causing temporary issues. And they ran every test known to man. Came back with Fatty liver. No Cancer. We came back in December as my wife had thrown up blood. Turned out she had a bleed from Acid Erosion in the Eshaphugus. But Dr Frankels notes say a History of Cirrhosis, Alchol abuse... etc..etc. I have the Biopsys CT/MRI/PET all in hand and they all say Fatty liver. So ? And my wife was a non drinker. We met with him Again in July of 2021. And he said your liver is fine, its healing really nice. Follow up in a year. So not sure what happened with the December notes if he confused her with someone else? But it causes significant mental trauma.
