Overall negative experience in this office. The overall patient care experience is disjointed, dysfunctional, and have poor communication. Examples: the doctor may say one thing, but the medical staff are confused, and seem to be on a different page. The staff in one office say one thing, but when you call them, you get punted to the main office, and the staff say different things. No one cares to resolve any issues, and just tell you to call someone else, or speak to someone else. Avoid this practice if you can. read more

I had my 1st appointment with Dr Torrano this week & WOW I wish I had gone to see him earlier. Everything about my visit was top notch. His staff was extremely accommodating & did everything from helping me with the new patient paperwork to listening to my bad sinus history. Dr Torrano is outstanding! He took time to understand my sinus history - which is pretty lengthy & non conventional. He was able to review my records & give the best summary of my situation that I have ever had - EVER! And that is a huge compliment as I have been to the so called "best of the best" ENT's & Allergists in the South Bay with never getting resolve. I had a serious allergy reaction to poison oak, most of my body was covered in rashes and I needed 911 treatment. My search on finding the right treatment was super easy as Dr. Robert's office had a ton of great reviews. I decided to reach out and book an appointment. My experience was as described on the reviews, the hole staff was very pleasant and friendly so booking an appointment was very fast and easy. The day of my appointment (the next day) everything was a breeze from checking in to actually getting in front of the doctor super fast. My first impression of Dr. Robert was very down to earth easy to talk to professional doctor, very humble. My treatment was immediate, he prescribed the best most affective drug which I notice improvement the very next day. Dr. Torrano is a FANTASTIC person. He is very un-doctor like in a great way. No ego and a completely personable guy with a good sense of humor and easy to speak with. He writes down what you tell him and then makes suggestions that are very helpful. He was also very good with my son who is 8. This is the guy to see if you have allergies. Great bedside manner for a doctor! Very witty and funny. He prescribed the cutest inhaler i've ever seen (its baby blue! and its an autoinhaler!) He commutes from pretty far, and goes to many different offices. I think getting the scratch test was the best decision. Now I know exactly what I'm allergic to (which is a whole lot of this world). He even suggested ways that i could get even more conclusive results for my allergies. I was given samples of the medications i was prescribed. good to have an idea of what the medication does to you before you decide for your insurance to pay. Just went to my first allergy appt the other day. Been suffering from watery eyes for years and I finally decided to do something about it. Dr. Torrano is super nice, down to earth and actually kinda funny. I say "actually" b/c most drs are pretty serious. He ran some tests, discussed the results with me and then put me on a plan. Dr. Torrano is seriously amazing. He and his staff at Allergy and Asthma are accommodating and patient. He actually sits down and spends time with you. Dr. Torrano continues to be an amazing physician, advocate, and support for our family! Dr. Torrano has been taking care of our family since my 8 yo son experienced a severe allergy to nuts as a 1 yo. We see Dr. Torrano infrequently at this point in time, but call with questions on occasion, and follow-up every 2 years or so. Recently I phoned Dr. Torrano's office to ask a question about allergy related to the flu shot. Not only was the office staff quick to answer the phone, helpful in taking a message, and exceptionally polite, but Dr. Torrano phoned me back personally at 7:45pm on the same day to answer my questions! We saw Dr. Torrano 5 years ago after my daughters reaction to shellfish. While he confirmed her allergy with a blood test, he completely dismissed her other allergy symptoms as being "all in her head". We now are in a different city with a new Dr who is doing the type of testing Dr. Torrano should have done 5 years ago. DO NOT let him tell you that your child's symptoms are "in their head". Ridiculous. He also bragged about other patients that have similar issues, shortness of breath, etc that he deemed psychosomatic. read more

What can I say? Dr. Torrano is the master. The master of diagnosis, treatment, and bedside manner. He treats you like a human being, and listens to you carefully. He gives you plenty of time, and writes down your medication instructions. If you're having an asthma emergency, he squeezes you in that day. He's also extremely nice.
