She spends time getting to know you and offers functional, doable exercises for you to do at home too. I have had a fabulous experience and can't recommend her enough! If you've been experiencing any pain or stiffness, she's the person to go to.

I began seeing Ilene Watrous in early September 2022. I have chronic neck and upper back pain…read morecaused by repetitive motion from working at a computer. Under stress, this pain has escalated into debilitating migraines. Historically I have received both physical and chiropractic therapy for this condition and both seemed to exacerbate the condition. I have also received cranial sacral therapy in the past and found it relaxing and soothing. My doctor recommended that I find a practitioner who provided some type of 'gentle' therapy around my neck and shoulders, as she believes the gentle manipulation, over time, would improve my condition. I found Ilene Watrous on a website which listed practitioners under 'Biodynamic Therapy'. Ilene has an unusual background. She is a physical therapist but, she is also a practitioner of many holistic therapeutic modalities. When I first visited Ilene my neck was stiff and swollen at the base of my skull. Ilene was able to lessen the stiffness about 90% in the first session and I was shown techniques to use at home and have been practicing them daily with positive results. The results include more range of motion in my neck and back. I am now able to turn from left to right without resistance. Ilene provided me with mild muscle strengthening techniques, which I practice at home to build muscle mass. They do not aggravate the inflammation in my neck and upper back. Since the first session, I have received several sessions of Biodynamic Therapy. The day after the first treatment I had a sense of serenity and peace, in spite of my work stress. The effect seems to endure with every additional session. I have also received Trager therapy. The muscles in my back were released from the tension they held. The Trager approach helps to "facilite relaxation, increase physical mobility and mental clarity. Ilene Watrous has a deep passion for providing relief through physical therapies. I personally think that this was her professional purpose--she is doing what she was born to do! In addition, Ilene is a very kind, sensitive and gentle person. I feel safe during my treatment sessions. LJ 10/30/2022 Princeton NJ

This review is solely for my experience at the hospital with a hiring event being held here…read more The exterior and interior of the hospital is gorgeous! They have a large parking lot that seems to fill up so although I lucked up and was able to get a good spot, I can see at times it may not be as easy to do so. The security guard at the entrance of the hospital was so pleasant yet thorough. I wish I would've gotten his name because he was just that good and deserves kudos (middle aged tall brown skinned man) . He spoke to everyone who entered, walked them through the process for entry, re-checked numerous bags and did all with a smile. The hiring event was towards the back of the main floor and was very organized. The Penn Med staff hosting the event were all very friendly and informative and I was able to make a few key connections I can work with and hopefully build a partnership with for the sake of employing Medical Assisting graduates .

The staff are always friendly and attentive not to mention super clean. Every single equipment you touch gets wiped down immediately. I can't tell you how appreciative I am of that given Covid19. Since going I have less pain and most times none at all. I feel confident that I will continue to seek treatment here as I learned from Dr.Marc, it's not just about fixing the pain. It turned out to be a much more pleasant experience than I expected, having never been to PT. The office is friendly and low-key, and both Marc and Jenna are great! When they are working with you, they give you their full attention and make sure that you're doing everything correctly. They are very patient and good listeners and I'm attributing my rapid recovery from my running injury to the excellent quality of care. Not that I'd really want to ever need PT, but with this office right around the corner being injured is much less of a burden.

The appointment cost $1500.00…read more You are then made to book your own follow up appointment. The last year I went, when I booked my follow up appointment, the doctor called me directly. This year after the missed appointment it was said that is was a zoom link and that I should have gotten a zoom link to my email the day I booked it (I called to let them know that the doctor never called me)...... Then it was said that the link would not come from Princeton Longevity Center....... If I knew it was a ZOOM I would have been on the ZOOM. [When you book your appointment there is one little section prompting a ZOOM follow up call- portion where you have to click to move to the next page] It's comical writing the review.... really I was just floored that the older woman on the phone was so quick to say pay $50 and I can reschedule that for you.... and that was all she was going to do. An update: I emailed the Director of Patient and Corporate services- Andrea L. The Director of services took the time out of her day... really took the time.... to screen shot and highlight the fine print of it being a zoom call. She highlighted 4 points of a "Zoom" mention really only being on two days. The day you book the appointment and the day you are told to scan a QR code which also was more than a month apart. No follow up and no work done by their actual team in the office. I booked the appointment on Jan 8th. I did not see the fine print that the director took the time out of her day to highlight and send back to me as a pretty much "Bite me" remark. Feb 10th (More than a month later) I had my appointment and was told to scan the QR code to book a call. Did I read the QR code the director also so kindly enlarged for me just now in an email to tell me to basically "Piss off"? No, I SCANNED the QR code and booked my appointment and the Dr. said she would call on the 24th. There was no Zoom mention from when I was there checking in at their office to leaving is what I was saying on the phone and why I emailed the director for help because I do not miss appointments especially one where I had to take off of work and drive more than an hour to so I would not have missed that follow up appointment. I think it's unprofessional and especially of the director to reply the way she did. I have been in customer service throughout my career and I never felt more disregarded by the girl who works at the front desk and the director..... Truly as if I was emailing a 20 year old girl who got her first job. Andrea went so far as to send me a non-disparagement agreement. (Over $50 ..) Telling me that Once my Yelp review was taken down and she received a signed copy of the attached agreement, she will have my follow up appointment rescheduled by phone and waive the $50 fee... I mean it's also upsetting that the Director would reply just like that below ( look at all the other bad review replies) and say those things about myself to cover her own character .... Asking a client to take down their review when I simply asked if she would waive the $50 fee. It was because of the way the Director replied to me over 50 bucks... In my second email I said if you can't waive it is what it is...but if something was really wrong the Doctor would have to call me right? That is when the director felt she needed to "stick it to me" for it being a Zoom call lol.... she did not even answer my question. I felt all she cared about was her name and this review! Did I explain my situation to one woman on the phone when I called and then she had me on hold to transfer me to another named Alex, who I had to re-explain my situation to and still could or would not help? Yes. They could help but would not help. I get it some businesses won't right? I felt it was the way they had me on hold, the way Alex replied and the way the Director replied that I took the time to write this review. Did I think the lady that sounded older, named Alex, on the phone, was no help.. yes? Did I bully her lol? No... Was I upset and frustrated that I could not speak to the Dr. without paying 50 dollars... yes?? Was I upset with the way I felt Alex did not give a care, yes!? Did I then email the director for help, yes. Did the director reply trying to stick it to me about a Zoom call after I said it is what it is.. because I GENUINELY did not know it was a Zoom call... yes and she did the same with her reply just below. Meanwhile I literally replied off the Zoom call link (after they told me the company the link is from...) asking for help..... Did Andrea only offer me one day and time to speak to her? Yes. Did the Physician Communicate her results 24 hours after my appointment. No. She did not. Did Andrea, how I felt, harass me via email to take down this review? Yes... Head of a department?... with training in customer service..... I'd say her reply says enough ....... And I'll leave it at that..

There was one nurse who was the bad apple out of the bunch. And I believe she was "let go" due to multiple complaints. According to my mother, the food was good as well. You didn't get a choice of what to eat, but everything was good. Especially, the ice cream (lol). Other than the appearance of the facility, everything we've experienced was above par. People also need to realize that, with all rehab facilities, the staff is cut down over the weekends. It's not the service. Things take longer because of the lack of help. However, that doesn't mean that you don't get the help that you need. My mother still received her PT, meds, food, etc., on time. I recommend Avalon for rehabilitation.

A previous experience with this facility was very positive and I had so much hope in this facility. Generally the staff is kind and attentive. Unfortunately, after three days....they were unable to manage his diabetes and rather than listen to me as a person who has been successfully managing his diabetes for the past 10 years....they are by policy and protocol required to refer to a house physician who is not an endocrinologist. Nursing staff must wait for the doctor to find the time to call them back while my husband's blood glucose just kept getting higher. It's sad that the nursing staff isn't allowed to use common sense and deliver a shot of insulin that is more than the physician has ordered. Our health care system is so very broken. I guess my advice would be....if your loved one is a diabetic....you might want to choose another facility.
