Being that Edinburgh is one of the few areas that have spots that make these, I was happy to see Yum Yum did it. I'm basing my review off of my order experience. It was made quickly. Payment was fast. And the mars bars was decent. If I was drunk, I would probably be foodgasming more. But I will say, it was very good and pleased I was able to experience while I was in town.

For the (rare) pleasant McDonalds experience this place deserves five stars. Additionally, there isn't much in the area in the way of cafes and it definitely fills a gap. Alas, it's still a McDonalds and my spontaneous chips (chips and coffee is totally a thing) have had the usual negative effects (6 weeks breakout free, then I had some McDonalds chips!) The food is always cooked well (in other words, I've never got ill from one of their burgers/kebabs!) which is generally more than can be said for a lot of places like this. But what I think really swings it for me was the freezing january night when a friend and I were queuing out the door in the snow, to find that the staff were going along the queue handing out free chips to warm you up while you waited.
