After 45 years on this planet, I finally needed a place to store all of my crap. I never thought I would have to pay someone for this. So when I did, I went online and started at the top of the results page. I was amazed at the price these places were charging for such small units. Not to mention the awful conditions of most of them! Roberts Storage was not near the top of my results, but I finally made it down the list. I called them and was satisfied with their price.... Oh, and they were polite on the phone! I drove down and gave them a look. Not only did I rent a storage unit for my crap, but I ended up using them to store my car too! This place is clean, professional, and personable. They have a good security gate with keypad and locks are available if you need one (small additional charge). The owners are always driving through which made my crap feel safe too! They are expanding now so this place can only keep getting better! Certainly the only place to go in the area! These folks have been wonderful to me! I got behind on payments and they worked with me. I had an issue getting in and they were there within about 20 minutes. I highly recommend this place for storing anything you need stored. Professional, polite and willing to help. read more

This is a RIP OFF!!! I would not store anything here again if my life depended on it...by far the worst place to have to deal with!!! 1. They do not have accept any other way to pay other than ck or cash. And this is the 21st/almost 22nd century that we live in! 2. If you do pay by ck and happen to not pay for other things very often via ck, you will get treated like a criminal because they think "you won't have the money in your account" as they have gotten stiffed before. 3. They made us pay for a whole month $50 even though we were taking our stuff out on the 5th and we are homeless, staying at a shelter in Lansing. They locked us out of the gate on the 5th of the month so that we couldn't come get our stuff. Then even though we paid the $50 + late fee of $10 the prior month. They didn't cash the ck for that mo.until the next mo. on the first, like they were expecting it to NOT CLEAR therefor making you have a bounced ck fee through your bank. When we rented a U-Haul to come get our stuff, they were closing at 5pm and said we didn't have time to come get our stuff because we didn't pay for the entire mo. yet!! Since there wasn't a reason to have locked us out of the gate for the payment not being paid right on the 1st and it was only the 5th, we had to meet the owner there, be harassed that we weren't going to give him a good ck and then be watched while we moved our stuff out that night. We were rushing to get our stuff out by 9pm and it was like 7ish. As we were being watched, the owner then pulled up asking/harassing us about getting our stuff out that night so I said, "since I just paid for an entire mo don't we technically have this whole mo to get our stuff out?" He said "yeah but I am just making sure that you will be able to get it out tonight and if I don't see your lock on it I will know you got it out, if I do then I will know that you are still here." I'm not sure what difference it makes; but he was scoping out everything we had as we were loading it into our U-Haul. Do NOT ever rent a storage shed here unless you want to be treated poorly. read more
