On October 15th, my husband needed a root canal and saw Dr. Robertson, had x rays taken, was given pain pills and an appointment for the procedure on October 30. Two days later, on October 17th he received a voice message from the office saying Dr. Robertson was retiring the next day and the root canal appointment was cancelled. The x rays would be sent to the original dentist. This was very weird and seems unprofessional, let alone cruel for a patient suffering with a toothache. read more

Dr. Sean Robertson and his team are absolutely amazing. I wouldn't go anywhere else for a root canal and gladly travel from Ojai to Santa Barbara to see Sean and his team. Jennifer (front desk) is the best person!! She has repeatedly gone above and beyond for me over the past few years. She literally makes the entire process seamless and easy for me. She helps me coordinate everything with my insurance which can be extremely difficult because I utilize the Veterans Administration (Care in the Community). She is always friendly, and truly seems happy to help which is so important these days. To be honest, a majority of dentists/doctors don't even accept care in the community patients because of how difficult it can be... so I am beyond grateful to find someone like Jennifer who helps me and literally puts me at complete ease knowing everything will be taken care of. The same can be said for Doctor Sean for operating a business willing to accept Disabled Veterans (Care in the Community) because amazing doctors such Sean don't always need the business, whereas I'm always made to feel like a top priority with his entire team. Doctors Offices who support Disabled Veterans are an A+ in my opinion. Dr Robertson did 2 root canals on me today , I am eating stir fry right now , it was pain free , pleasant, relaxed . His staff as well were wonderful , and relaxed . While visiting Santa Barbara, I needed to see an endodontist. Dr. Sean Robertson, DDS was recommended, and his office scheduled me for an immediate appointment. His office staff was very welcoming, and the wait time was minimal. Dr. Robertson's assistant was amazing. Her manner was professional, and the preliminary procedures were very thorough. Her explanations and kindness helped eliminate my anxieties. Upon meeting Dr. Robertson, it became very obvious that his congenial nature was the basis for the positive elements of his personnel/office. He was relaxed, friendly, yet very professional. His explanations were thorough and easy to understand. His examination was gentle, yet confident. When the appointment was complete, Dr. Robertson escorted me to the front office and introduced himself to my husband. He encouraged any calls of concern during our stay should I need further help. If we lived in Santa Barbara, Dr Robertson would certainly be my endodontist.... Should I need to see an endodontist again, I may make the trip down from Paso Robles to see him again. read more

If I could give 10 stars, I totally would. I was so worried at first about the root canal being extremely painful. Also, right before this, I had gone to a terrible and fraudulent dental group. Up until this week, I had been really skeptical and hesistant to step into the dentist's office, but Sean Robertson made me feel very relaxed. Loved the receptionist and dental assistant! I got a warm blanket to comfort me, and Dr. Robertson was very clear about why and how he was going to do the procedure. It was completely painless, and he will distract you while you are receiving your numb shot! He wants the best for you, and he is so friendly. I got to watch a movie during the whole procedure. If you have to get a root canal done I wouldn't go anywhere else. Dr. Robertson's office staff is amazing and he is one of the best in the business. My teenage son had to have a root canal and it was the best experience it could be. Dr. Sean was very personable and kept my son informed of everything he was doing. Kept him relaxed and comfortable with surfing videos. And even followed up with a personal letter to my son a week after the procedure. I wish every medical office was this good. read more

I was referred to Dr. Robertson's office with an infected tooth that required a possible root canal. The staff welcomed me warmly. Dr. Robertson was compassionate and highly skilled. Because my tooth was fractured, he couldn't do the root canal but referred me to an oral surgeon. Dental work is not fun, but my experience with Dr. Robertson's office was surprisingly pleasant. (Note: He is really skilled at the anesthetic injections. Minimal pain.) read more

I was referred to Dr. Robertson for a root canal and restoration of a tooth prior to the fitting of a new crown. Dr. Robertson and his staff run a pleasant, well-organized, and efficient office. The doctor, and his assistant (Becky) both took the time to explain in detail what the procedures entailed, why each step was required and what I would experience. This pre-procedure briefing helped reduce my trepidation about what the hour and half in the chair was going to be like. An added bonus was being offered the opportunity to watch a movie on a screen that is mounted on the ceiling. (I watched "Driftwood", which was a 60 minute film on paddle boarding in various locations around the world.). The procedures were completed with no pain (thank goodness for local anesthesia) and minimum discomfort and I was out of the chair in 90 minutes. As a previous reviewer mentioned, a root canal is NOT an inexpensive procedure if done by a skilled and experience practitioner, but Dr. Roberson's fees were consistent with what others charge in the area. Hopefully I won't need another root canal procedure anytime soon, but if I do, "Dr. Sean" will be the person I will use. read more

Sean is my go to guy for Root canals. I am so lucky to have been referred to him. He is a straight forward, steady, exceptional skilled specialist. He makes sure that I am comfortable as can be and allows me to put on soothing music with a blanket covering me. Once the anesthesia has kicked in, I can settle down and let them get on with the job. I am not good with dentists, but I trust Sean and Becky to do their very best for me, and they always do. I trust them. Very important with someone who has a drill in my head. read more

Courteous staff, good complete explanations. Deft, thorough, responsive and thoughtful treatment. I have now had two root canals done by this endodontist and he is skilled and careful. Minimal aftereffects, and while no root canal is cheap, he does not charge exorbitantly. I have had cheap root canals done before and I can say that if you go for the inexpensive job you usually have to have it done again-- twice the pain twice the cost in the end.
