They are very professional and good at what they do. We got several quotes when we had to replace our system years ago and decided to go with Gentry because they had the best proposal. Not only was it less expensive than other proposals, but they offered options to fit different price points. What I really liked was that they did not take a pushy sales approach like the larger companies did. They really wanted to provide options for a quality system so we could make a good decision. I called on 10/8/25, requesting an electrical diagnostic on my washer/dryer outlet to verify the voltage for the LG manufacturer. I was quoted the price of $89 for the diagnostic--a price confirmed twice. The technician, "Chris," arrived on 10/12/25 (after a reschedule). Without touching or testing anything, he immediately demanded an additional $200 fee, claiming the initial $89 only covered his trip and not the actual diagnostic--a clear bait-and-switch. I requested he at least document the outlet's wattage on the receipt so I could relay the information to LG, but he failed to do so. I called customer support and was transferred to "Kayla" in dispatch, who confirmed the potential for a $200 detailed diagnostic fee but could not logically explain how it was determined without the technician inspecting the unit. When I questioned this, she became unhelpful, displayed an attitude, and simply stated she could call the technician and cancel the job. He was already on site. I paid $89 for absolutely no electrical service or useful information. This company is dishonest about its upfront pricing. Do not use Eanes.

Social Services contracted woth Rocco of Hydro Air in Patrick Springs, VA, to replace my electric furnace. He made it clear to me that the grant would not cover the entire cost, and I had to come up with an additional 300 dollars, which I did not have. He did replace the furnace, but did not install an air filter unit, which all furnaces must have. The furnace will not run - all I get is an error message: 'Change Filter'. There is no filter unit on this furnace, no way to change a filter. The original unit, installed by Rocco in 2006 in this same basement, had a filter unit on the end of it, which I would periodically remove, clean and replace. When I called and talked to Rocco himself, he said that I 'had to change the filter upstairs at the intake.' There has NEVER been an upstairs filter at the 'intake' for that furnace - the filter unit was on the end of the furnace, in the basement, and I would open the door, pull it out, clean it and replace it. So Rocco got paid by the Commonwealth of Virginia to replace my furnace, he got his money, and here I am, 67 years old, with acute heart failure, end stage kidney failure, with no heat, in the middle of winter. There is not a spot in the everlasting lake of fire hot enough for contractors like this fat, greedy porker.

Elliot, after some extensive diagnosis, determined the problem was a blockage in the discharge hose, which had been used on the previous unit. Easy fix, much to my relief. And, much more relief to know that the new unit was sound! Elliot was very courteous and thorough. It was late in the day and very warm outside; these factors make such service remarkable.
