I regret bringing my cat here…read more I brought my cat to this clinic because she appeared to have injured or sprained her leg, and they were the only place that could see her immediately. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst veterinary experiences I have had. The exam room did not look or feel clean, which already made me uncomfortable. A veterinary clinic should maintain a clean and hygienic exam room, especially when sick or injured pets are being assessed. After I checked in, I was left waiting alone in the exam room with the door closed for over 8 minutes. During that time, I could hear the doctor chatting in the back area about personal matters, including high school friends. I was there because I was worried about my cat, so hearing casual personal conversation while waiting felt extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. When the doctor finally came in, the exam felt rushed and incomplete. In my opinion, the doctor spent most of the appointment typing instead of carefully examining my cat. I specifically mentioned that part of my cat's tooth was broken, and the doctor's response was basically that my cat would not allow her to examine it. That answer made no sense to me. I brought my cat to a vet for an examination, but when I pointed out a visible issue, I was essentially told it could not be examined because my cat "would not allow it." My cat is a mature, calm cat. She was not aggressive or out of control. If a vet cannot properly examine a calm cat after the owner points out a specific concern, I seriously question the quality and thoroughness of the visit. It felt like taking a car to a mechanic, pointing out a visible problem, and being told the car would not allow the mechanic to inspect it. For a bill of over $200, I expected basic cleanliness, professionalism, attention to detail, and a proper examination. I did not feel I received that. Instead, the visit felt rushed, dismissive, careless, and not worth the money. I left feeling that my cat was not properly cared for and that my concerns were not taken seriously. Based on this experience, I would not return and would not recommend this clinic to other pet owners.

BTW...She was and still is the absolute best small breed groomer in the Lower Mainland. Anyways, at the time we met back in the early 90's, she was just starting out as a Yorkie Breeder, and her goal was to be among the best Yorkshire Terrier show quality Breeders in North America. She researched tirelessly, she did everything right in terms of being a bonafide Breeder, (not a backyard Breeder) and went to extreme financial lengths, and still does, to show her dogs in the best shows all over the world. Only a Breeder of Champions can develop a reputation as a serious champion show Breeder of exceptional quality dogs among other show Breeders, and the dog show world is extremely difficult to penetrate in terms of being taken seriously and regarded as a credible show breeder. It takes years and years of dedication, effort, incredible hard work and extreme amounts of money. However, Kristy understood that without that reputation and acceptance, she would be nothing more than a backyard breeder, and that was out of the question. She maintained a busy grooming business 7 days a week, in order to fund her HUGE expenses, which include outrageously high veterinary bills, show expenses, handler costs, supplies etc etc., and on top of that, she regularly rescues dogs from bad breeders, most with serious genetic health issues. So, for those who balk at the high cost of a show quality puppy, and think that all Breeders are "in it for the money", WRONG! A backyard Breeder is in it for the money, Kristy is in it for the love, dedication, devotion and preservation of the breeds she is involved with. You know, many small dog breeds need cesarian sections to give birth, and the cost of that is outrageous! A simple spay costs $1500 now, so trust me, the $4,000 price for a show quality Yorkie, for example may sound high to those who don't understand the true cost of quality breeding, but after all the vet checks, shots, Stud fees, supplies, CKC admin costs, (papers etc.) trust me, the profit margin is borderline "loss" when all is said and done. All of Kristy's puppies are well cared for in her home, and are even paper trained before leaving. I leave you with this...Without people like Kristy, those breeds would be extinct due to genetic damage and pain and suffering caused by backyard breeders.

We waited 6 months on her waiting list, only to find out that 2 litters of puppies had died! Due to the highly unusual circumstance, and some doubts about the health of the dogs, we asked for our deposit back. She refused and told us to wait for the next litter (which would have been 9 months). We didn't even know how many puppies died under her supervision, or how they died! We decided she was unreliable, since we could not be sure the next litter would even survive. We searched for other breeders and even got a puppy from one, Kristy still refused to give us the $500 back. She is also difficult to communicate with, and said I was "threatening" and "blackmailing" her for saying I was going to write a negative review. She will probably reply to this review trying to play the victim, even though she's the one who's $500 richer. Save your time and money, she's not worth the stress, there are plenty of reliable breeders out there who will refund your deposit if anything happens to the puppy that they are selling you.

He is anxious, and there were times he did not play appropriately with smaller dogs (he had too much energy, and he does not always recognize/respond to the other dog's body language of "please give me space." They gave me great feedback on how he was doing, but his trainer and I decided that daycare for my anxious dog would not let him be "his best self." I then transitioned him to their Woofer Walker Munchkin March pack walks, which is a much better fit for him. He gets to socialize with the other dogs in the pack walk, run himself silly, and sniff everything (animate and inanimate). Obi would walk over my dead body to get to Woofer Walker Judy! He is so excited when it is Woofer Walker day that he waits by the front door, staring at it until he hears the van pull up, and then loses his mind. Judy is very patient with his excitement. They let me know which days would be the best fit for him regarding the other dogs' personalities and play styles, so he goes every Tuesday and Thursday. They also post videos of some of the highlights of the walks and post pictures - it is the highlight of our evening to watch the videos! We are so impressed and grateful for the quality of care from each of the staff there. Little dog was admitted for a thorough check up including Xrays and blood work so we left him for a few hours. There was no confusion over procedures or costs and some treatments for the future were discussed. When we went to pick him up he was wrapped up in warm cloths in the arms of one of the girls at the front desk. They decided to not just put him in a crate and cuddled him until we arrived. Dr Christian was kind, gentle and interested in the dog and dog seemed to be feeling very much better today. He had been under the weather for a few weeks so we're happy about that. They even called today to see how he was doing. I would recommend this hospital if you're needing a nice little clinic for your pet.

We figure she ran into a nail or something. I immediately called them as they were the only ones still open at that time and they took her in immediately even though they were fully booked and they even stayed late to do emergency surgery on her. I cannot thank them enough for doing this. They went in, repaired the muscle that was torn as well and stitched her up. They did a beautiful job and I cannot thank them enough for staying late and helping her and us. Forever grateful. And these people obviously care about their patients!
