I always go here for my car services... like I have for about 18 years, so I hesitate a little bit to give the review with these low stars, but this visit had a few things going on. The gentleman that was behind the counter was not very kind- not saying he was terribly mean, but he just wasn't into being there, it seemed. I asked for an oil change and for all my fluids to be checked (pretty standard). I had brought in a box of tire sensors and asked if they could put them in since all but one of my existing sensors were dead. He kind of popped off a little bit of a snappy comment and roughly pulled them toward him. He asked if I was staying or going while they service my car - I asked how long it would be and he said about two hours. I was there a little more than three. I understand. They were busy, but I got up when it was just a little more than two hours to check on it. I guess I feel like they could do an update with the peeps that are still in the shop. There were at least four men sitting at the counter that day. It seems like the job got done- oil changed, fluids replenished and sensors in. The other thing I am not a fan of- he never stated there would be a charge for the placement of the sensors and it ended up being $70. A full bill that would normally be about that price ($70 ish) was $180 because of fees and other line items. That feels pretty steep and I will definitely be watching YouTube next time. Part of my appeal to return to Robertson's is they help out with such things as I am sure they installed a set of sensors for me before at no charge or at least not anymore than $20. read more

My tire pressure light came on a while ago. I checked all of them and only one of them was low. It would be good for some time but then the same thing would happen again. I figured there was a nail or something so I thought it wise to get it checked out. After trying to take it to my usual tire shop, the place where I bought my tires from, I discovered they closed due to COVID. Not knowing where else to go, I figured I'd give them a shot. I showed up shortly after they opened. There were only a couple of people there. Two staff members were ready to help customers at the front. They quickly asked me what the problem was and took my keys. I asked how long it would take and they said around 45 minutes. Thankfully I live nearby so I just walked home. 45 minutes later, I got a call saying my car was ready! I was surprised by how accurate their time prediction was. When I went to pick up my car, I expected to pay at least $20 for the puncture repair since I didn't buy the tires from them. However, they informed me I didn't owe anything. I brought my car to this location to have them check my squeaky brakes and was told that I needed new brake pads and rotors. The associate that I talked to was Pete. Pete quoted me a price of $418 dollars. This was for the back brakes as I had them do the front brakes a couple of months before. I went ahead and took my car to another mechanic for a second opinion and he estimated that the back brake pads had probably 50,000 miles left on them and they had accumulated a lot of brake dust and needed to be cleaned. i drove down from dallas to visit my friend that lives in Tulsa. as i was getting ready to drive the 4.5 hour's home, my low tire light came on. my psi was 17! upon inspection, i saw a nail in my tire. i was referred to Robertson Tire by a tulsa local, so i stopped in to see if they could patch my tire up and they were so friendly, got me in straight away, and not only did they patch my tire, they aired up my other 3 tires and didn't charge me for the service! Three times in the last couple months my car had a low tire warning. I took it to Robertson Tire on Peoria because it was just a couple blocks from my house. I was told to pull around to the 2nd bay and someone would take care of me. The first time I was greeted by Justin and the next 2 times I was taken care of by Skip. Both men were extremely personable, friendly, knowledgeable and professional. If the rest of Robertson's employees have the same attitude as Justin and Skip, I will recommend this location to everyone in Tulsa. Update: After contacting the management the owner reached out to me the very next day and took my concern and complaint very seriously. Refreshing for a business to take the treatment and care of their customers especially loyal ones so importantly. At the end of the day, the issue was with one employee who I believe the management has spoken to and dealt with. The rest of my experience with Robertson has been excellent and the rest of the staff has been always been helpful and cooperative. Ethan especially has been kind and good to my 68 year old mother and taken the time to answer any questions and explain any issues with her car. My family has utilized Robertson Tire exclusively for their car maintenance for years and will continue to do so. read more

Robertson replaced a tire on my truck and did a poor job balancing the wheel when installing. My truck shakes while driving and passengers can feel it. I brought it back up for them re balance the tire (but do it correctly this time) and they refused to fit me in telling me I have to wait several hours. They could have cared less. Bought four new michelins on 1/23/17 and the Robertson service desk was great, their garage fast. No slackers. They checked my alignment and said it was good, in the past some shops have gouged me on front end parts that weren't needed. Not here. Though note most shops aren't dishonest. My brakes were worn but I did not tell the service Rep about it. The mechanic identified it on his own and service Rep gave me a reasonable quote to turn rotors, replace pads & flush lines. I had planned to do the work myself but now I may pay them to do it having seen their good service first hand. Two events and two outstanding experiences at Brookside location. Replaced a flat tire, and I was expecting to have to clear all of the errors that my computer tells me there is something wrong. Manually, it's a chore, but everything was cleared. A small victory. Yesterday, I took another car in 30 minutes before they closed, expecting to leave it overnight for what appeared to me to be a slow leak. The attendant appeared surprised to think I was expecting to leave it overnight. They took it back and 20 minutes later, it was fixed. In these times where everyone seems to want to complain, a well earned complement seems more appropriate. This is my new "go to" tire repair service center. Thank you. read more

I first went in to have a flat fixed. The flat was fixed but when I left I had a message on my dash saying "service tire pressure system" I started to take it back to see what was wrong but I thought I could fix it myself. I couldn't fix it so I took it back and they were happy to fix it for me. Well, they fixed it for me but when I got home I wanted to see how accurate the sensors were so when I went to take off the valve stem cap to check the pressure, it was just barely on. I went to check the others and they were the same but one of the tires was missing the cap. I guess it fell off on the way home. I contacted the owner to let him know about what happened and he responded right away. They have corrected the problem. I bought a brand new tire here back on January 29 and this last Monday (less than 10 days since purchase) it has shredded apart without having endured any serious bumps or road debris at all. I called them up this morning (I still have the sheedded tire) and while they were very courteous on the phone, there was nothing that they could do since I hadn't purchased road hazard (which incidentally was never offerred). Had to go get a new tire after hitting a pot hole on Riverside. Went in knowing my other three were fine, however they told me I needed all 4 new, or at least two, to keep my car balanced. Frustrates me when they do this, knowing it's not true. As seen above, my review was in no bad taste or disservice to this company. However as a young woman I feel like it is a common thread in the auto industry to be told things, assuming I do not understand, to try to oversell me. I felt it was important to be honest with my experience, for others to be aware and prepared with the correct information. After my review I received a message from the owner who said based on his records I didn't even buy anything, just changed a spare, which is invalid, as AAA changed my spare and I did in fact purchase a tire. He also went so far as to accuse me of illegally worn tires and apologized that I couldn't afford new tires... when mine were in fact less than 10,000 miles used and in great condition. I felt like this interaction was above and beyond in the opposite direction of customer service. The policy now is to now allow carry in parts so that they can profit off of part purchases. The parts they get are from Napa which are usually good but the fact is you're loosing out on good business because you don't allow carry in parts.. I pay to have my (better than Napa) aftermarket parts installed, and so do other people I know who come to you. Don't let greed blind your company. read more

Needed a set of new tires for my FJ Cruiser and went there after tire shopping online. Two gentlemen were behind the desk-one was very friendly and helpful, but the other seemed to be annoyed when i asked about differences in buying tires from them or thru an online sight that used Robertson as their installer. Then when i was comparing price differences of the 2 he cut me off and said he was working on the price match so i didn't need to go there basically. I was happy i did not have to deal with him anymore. The other gentleman was very nice and gave me a discount on my oil change since i had the coupon downloaded on my phone-he was happy to take the coupon without even looking at it! About 1 1/2 hours later my car was ready. I have since taken it on the highway a couple of times and noticed that the new tires are not properly balanced-when i hit 60 mph i get vibration in my steering wheel, so have been putting off going back to get them rebalanced since i'm afraid it will take a chunk of my day to do that (which has been my experience there with balancing in the past). But the worst thing was that when i got home i was putting the cover back onto my spare tire, and something told me to check my locking lug nut on the spare...it was loose! i had specifically told them where my lug nut key was to remove the spare in the first place-so they had apparently used the key to get it off but not to put it back on! It was so loose that it wasn't even finger tight-it was like someone had put it back there with one or 2 turns and then just left it! Luckily for some reason i checked it and was able to tighten it myself. Like i said-im dreading going back there to get my new tires balanced properly. Im hoping at least that i get the friendly guy at the counter. read more
