I found Robin by looking on Google for a laptop security expert with knowledge of facebook and with great reviews near Richmond District of San Francisco. I want to report that I think I found him. Within a day after our contact, Robin came and spent a couple of hours during which he reviewed my laptop hardware and software, found a suspect entry point hackers probably used and removed it, improved system settings and security, and fixed a loosely connected battery, which greatly sped up the startup and shutdown. He explained every step he took. Which enabled me to remove the offensive messages the hackers left for my friends. Robin's fee was reasonable. I highly recommend him. read more

This is an overdue review. But Robin helped me retrieve the memory on my computer after I spilled liquid on it. I was able to dwliver the laptop to him 7pm on a Friday and got my laptop back early next week. He really goes above and beyond on service. He was constantly updating me on estimated time and what he was working on, the way my drive was formatted it made finding all of files a bit difficult. He took a lot of extra steps and hours to find all of the files I wanted to save and out them on a separate hard-drive for me. The wi-fi adapter in my 7yo laptop would come and go. I googled it and did all the recommended steps with no effect. I found Robin on google maps and emailed him about my problem. He replied really fast and told me that the easiest way to fix it is to buy an external usb wi-fi adapter. I got myself a $14 tp-link adapter on Amazon, and it works great. My old Macbook Pro crashed in the middle of Covid and curfew, Apple had no available appointments with their stores or their "authorized third party vendor"and I am so glad they didn't! I went through my business cards from back in the day and found Robin's and called and to my amazement he picked right up and offered to try to fix my problem IMMEDIATELY。 Turns out he lives a block away from me in the Richmond district and offered to let me drop it off at his home vs going to his store the next day, so I walked it over and we did the hand off with our masks in place. Incredibly he had it fixed by the next afternoon and the price was so astonishingly reasonable I am still in shock. And I am so happy with my choice. What a wonderful experience working with Robin!! I had several really complicated and intractable problems/issues with iTunes for Windows and iPods and the synchronization and desynchronization of various music tracks and Podcasts and simplified the way I am ripping tracks from my CDs to add to my iTunes collection. These issues were on various platforms and devices. His extremely wide knowledge of platforms, networking, hardware, software, really anything computer-related was amazing. Robin has been my tech support for both my home and office for the past 10 years. 9 years ago he built a computer for my office which I still use as a back-up computer. Yesterday Robin updated my home with a Tri-band WiFi system which greatly increased both uploads and download speeds through out the house. Robin is exactly the kind of IT person I have been looking for. He is extremely trustworthy, hard working, honest and a pleasure to deal with. I had an extremely difficult issue with my Outlook/comcast emails, and it took several very long attempts to fix it in conjunction with the Microsoft technical support. Robin was there and committed until it was fixed. He spent many hours on the phone with Microsoft over several days, working into the evening and early in the morning, and in the end he counted the number of emails in each of my folders and made sure that they were all there before he would sign off on the project. Robin brought my late 2011 13" Macbook Pro back to blistering speed quickly and at low cost. The upgrade: 16GB memory and a 500 GB SSD. He went out of his way to meet me in San Francisco to drop off and pick up the Mac. He also made sure that the OS install was flawless. While I have new Macs available to me at work, I am grateful to have a personal machine yanked back from the abyss and into daily usage. But I am not surprised.
