Really strange interactions...simply asking questions for clarity when I was about to visit (since I already did a failed/partial repair only elsewhere and now I want to make sure) made them not want to help me anymore and got several hang ups to the face. Pretty confusing just human to human. I'm sure they're probably great at what they do, but they don't want to offer much clarity or consideration to customers. Honestly feel hurt as a human. for what reason?? I haven't been met with this kind of treatment before as a potential customer. Pretty disappointed and feel like crying. After dropping my laptop, the screen had two circles in the middle and the cursor was going haywire. I googled a couple places and found this spot. I called to see if I need an appointment or anything and the nice gentleman on the phone told me to just bring it in. I went after work and he immediately started to try and fix the problem. After a little while he was able to get the cursor to work with a mouse, and that was better than nothing for me. He told me he would need more time if I wanted to use it without and try to figure out why the touchscreen wasn't working. He was very straightforward and honest. Sunday morning I pushed the power button on my desktop PC and it failed to start. Searched on Yelp and found this place, conveniently located five blocks from my new apartment. Brought the computer in first thing Monday morning and the guy quickly diagnosed the power supply was dead and needed replacing. He had to order the part and said with luck it would arrive and he would get it fixed on Wednesday before Thanksgiving weekend. Tuesday afternoon he texts me to say it's ready. Because the area is congested I had to pay for parking 2 blocks away. So I had to walk 2 blocks in the rain. When I got there his door was locked. There was a sign that said open, and to knock. So I knocked and knocked and knocked for about 5 minutes. I tried calling 3 times while standing at his front door. Nothing. I was ghosted. What shitty customer service. Dropped off my computer here for a very simple mechanical repair. I chose this place over a few others as the owner told me he'd have no problem taking care of the repair that day. I confirmed same day service with the owner before driving the computer to him and again before I left his shop. He very clearly said this would be no problem. About three hours later, the owner called and told me that it was taking longer than expected and that he'd have the computer ready three days later instead. I asked him if he would be open the day he was telling me the machine would be ready since it was a holiday that day. He very clearly said yes, he'd be open at 9am. I told him how important it was that I get the computer back then. I'm standing outside his shop waiting for him now on the holiday that he promised me he'd be here on. It's all locked up. He isn't answering his phone. Don't trust this place. They lie without thinking about it to make a little bit of extra money. This was a minor repair tightening a couple screws in the screen hinge. I used this weasel on a number of occasions without a hitch until a few months ago, when he charged me $150 for a laptop audio repair. Once I got the laptop home, it was obvious within two seconds that the unit was not properly repaired. Anyone with two ears could hear the audio was still just awful. How could he, in good conscience, charge $150 for something so obviously not fixed as the audio on a laptop? Doesn't he check his work? I called him immediately and he didn't seem at all surprised at my complaints. He told me he would "order new parts" to properly fix it. (You mean he didn't already have simple, basic audio parts at his store and had to order them??) Of course, I never heard back from him. I had to call again and got nothing but a runaround. In fact, I waited patiently for a month for these "new parts" to arrive at this place of business with no results except aggravation. I am grateful I paid with a credit card, which allowed me to stop the $150 charge. He never disputed the stop payment and so, after much frustration, I did recoup my money. I don't know what happened to this guy, maybe he has a brain tumor, maybe he was always a cheat but I didn't realize it before. The lesson I learned: Avoid this Weasel like the Plague. read more

Del gets an A+ for effort! I was trying to keep my 2017 24 inch desktop iMac alive. The hard drive died. I had someone else put in the new SSID 4 T and it never worked it kept shutting down and restarting. I took it to Del and he put in a new one in to see if there was a problem with the HD. It worked for a week and then it started doing the same thing:(. But the difference with how Dell handled it, and the other company was that Dell told me it wasn't going to work. He'd give me credit for what he had done to buy a replacement. So that's what I did. I bought a replacement that he had, that's actually way better and I'm very happy. Who does that these days? I'm so grateful to Del for helping fix my poor MacBook pro!! I accidentally spilled a whole cup of tea on my laptop, and was crushed thinking I wouldn't be able to save it. Thankfully, I looked up this place on Yelp, and took it over as soon as I could. Though it cost over $300 to fix it, Del was very kind and friendly, and helped me take the back cover off, assess the damage, and had it back good-as-new (looking clean to boot) in one day! (Not even the 3 business days he'd told me beforehand!) I think the diagnostic charge of $75 is quite fair, and though it was expensive, it was much cheaper than having to buy a new computer!!!
