On my most recent trip, I tried some tasty bangor taffy and lemon zest bark samples. I usually get a few truffles and chocolate covered marshmallows. Whatever the variety, it always hits the spot. It was a bit of a day trip, so we decided to see if there was anything interesting we could do in the area. This being October, there were a lot of things that were closed for the season, but when I saw the Len and Libby's candies brochure that advertised a life-size chocolate moose, we decided we had to go there. They were not kidding, there is a life-sized moose made completely of milk chocolate, and also a life-sized mama bear with two cubs made out of dark chocolate. That alone was worth the trip, but the chocolates were delicious, and they also had a blueberry jam that my husband especially liked. The staff were efficient and friendly, and the store was clean and well lit. The novelty of the chocolate moose was, alone, worth a visit.

My wife tried them first, she told me how bad they there. In my head I said "its fudge and candy....its sugar and chocolate how bad could it possibly be?" Well, really really bad. We threw away over $20 in stuff we bought without eating it. Lesson learned - its an easy place to grab your kid bulk candy or ice cream but I'd never buy anything they make here again. We got much better fudge up the road a bit in Dickinson store the next day.
