came out for frozen unit and dis service on unit insteadof. 2 weeks later unit did again came back out. said coils needing cleane. 2 weeks later again. now its they need replacing due freon loss. but never replaced any freon was always good. was told needed deep clean when left after unit de-thawd. read more

Not recommended. Tried to add on and upsell things that were necessary and pretty much refused to repair my system. When I got a price, it was overblown. I called another LOCAL AC place and they did the repair in 48 hours and it's worked fine for over 2 years now. Robinson would have cost me 20X what I paid for the repair by demanding that I buy a new entire system. GET a second opinion or call someone else first! read more

Misdiagnosed our mini split. We had a H5 on our mini split which means too many amps going to the compressor. Was told we needed a new board charged us 582.00 a week later same problem. Now we need a voltage regulator which is 572.00. So I'm in the same boat I started out but now I'm 582.00 with the same problem! The board wasn't the problem! We first contacted this company to fix a leak that was coming from our garage. The first guy that came out tried to snake our washer drain, said he couldn't get through and assumed the pipe was collapsed. He then tells us the only thing he could do was to hook up our washer drain to the hvac drain (we know nothing about plumbing...which is why we called a plumber). I confirmed with him twice it would not cause any further issues and that it was ok to do. He assured me it was totally fine and we wouldn't have any problems. It starts leaking again a couple months later (in my head I believed the pipe was fixed and assumed it was my washer) then it starts leaking so bad we look under the crawl space. Water is gushing from the pipe they have installed. We call them again and a different person comes out. He tells us that the first guys work was never going to solve the problem, that work should never have been done (its against code) and the last guy was fired for doing shady work just like that. At this point, we dont know whats going on so I call another company who confirms, that work should have never been done! Just spoke to a manager today who says even though he knows that it shouldn't have been done all they can do is offer to credit the money we have already paid them to do further shady work on our home. they installed a system for me not recently. I was on their service plan. System was making a noise. They said it's gonna be $600 couldn't tell me what it was. We weren't on their service plan anymore. I had my system froze up because it's in the attic when it unthaw it burst it through the ceiling had another company come to find out to verify that they hadn't done it up to industry standards that means using the heat tape.. when you're paying money for a system new condenser you expect it to be put into the system into standard that it's supposed to be done. They left an opening in the system so I was pulling in all the install installation in the got into the system and burned out a motor that was $1000 worth of repairs that I had to have someone came by and it brand new system shouldn't have been open. It should've been capped off a brand new system should've had the heat tape on it instead of giving me a loan they put me with their Wells Fargo HVAC credit card that only they took nobody else would take it shop around call around before you just jump with them. That's all I'm gonna say. when I got it taped up by the company that did it they found out what was making a squeaking on it. It was a label that was rubbing and now that been removed. It's not squeaking anymore, but they were gonna charge me $600 when I mentioned to them when I was on their service plan and it really still rubs me wrong on a new system. I had a lot of extra repairs here I had to pay for the ceiling because it wasn't taped a lot. I had to get it capped off. I new motor the insulation pulled out of was just it was a lot. Requested a service call on the weekend and explained unit was running but not getting cold. told them the age of unit, tech came out just to tell me they don't use R22 freon no more and that i need a new unit, which was a lie, u can use M099 which they did not tell me. They could have told me this over the phone worst scam job i ever had cost me 125.00 for nothing! Stay away from these folks their prices are stupid high! read more

I've never had to deal with an air conditioner that breaks down as often as the one Robinson installed. Every minor power interruption results in calling a technician because the system can't communicate with itself, or a part has failed, often due to the power failure. I purchased a package that includes "parts and labor" for over $14k, expecting a reliable product from an established, locally-owned company. How wrong I was. Since May 2019, I've had to call Robinson every 2-3 months to fix something on my unit. While they sometimes comp the service fee, more often than not, I end up paying to repair subpar equipment. For example, today, on July 29, I was charged a service fee after the unit lost communication due to a power surge. Additionally, I was charged for a system update, only to find out that during their last visit in March, they could have set the system to update automatically, saving me money. Maybe I got a lemon, but will they make it right? As of now, do yourself a favor and call someone else for a new installation. You'll avoid the headache and the constant nickel-and-diming to repair a unit you assumed would be reliable. read more

We've called them 3 separate times to fix a leak. The first 2 times they came they ran a snake through our line to unclog it and both times charged $300. Now the same issue is happening and it's only been a month since they supposedly fixed it so we are still under warranty and they're supposed to come back and fix it for free. Well now they're saying it's a different line and are wanting to charge another $300! This is crazy! It seems to me they just don't want to honor the warranty. So you're telling me you missed the initial problem the first 2 times?? We also subscribe to their monthly service and this is how we get treated? This company are scam artists. read more

Respectful and patient with me, the customer. I was very reluctant to hire them because of a very poor Yelp review, but I hired them out of desperation during the 4th of July weekend. I asked their repairman many questions because I had zero confidence in this company due to the poor review on Yelp. He answered my questions, fixed the problem with my air conditioner, and it's still working perfectly. It has been six weeks since the repair and everything is still working and even working better than before my air conditioner broke down in the late Friday evening of July 3rd. Hire them! Start with this long standing family owned reliable company and you won't go wrong. I had a great experience from my first call to the installation of a new system. My heat feels better oddly, and isn't shooting out extreme forceful heat so I'm not sweating when it runs, and the whole room that I'm in feels very comfortable. Awesome installers! Stellar work and attitudes. You don't usually think that having 3-5 guys going in out of the house all day would be a decent experience, but they're very respectful, professional, helpful and fun. The first company I called was a pale comparison and would have cost me in the long run from damage and continuing decay of a bad rust leaking unit. Just start with this company. read more

These people deserve a 0 star. I don't know how they got an average of 4.9 on google. They are scammers. I called them for an estimate because I had already paid someone to diagnose the problem for me. I told them exactly what the problem was with my ac but they insisted on coming out to verify. So I said i'm ok to pay for the service fee of $80 for them to come out and verify. After they came out they charged me $530 for the leak search and told me the problem which is exactly what I had told them. I never agreed to any diagnostic fee. I only agreed to the $80 service call. They will scam you like they did to me. How would charge $450 for just diagnosing the ac problem. This is completely a rip off. Other companies only charged $120 for both the service call and diagnostic. read more
