His demeanor came across as empathetic (unusual for a specialist). He asked that I have some tests done for him to better evaluate my need for surgery, and his desire to be thorough was reassuring. So far, so good; but my Meritus experience went rapidly downhill since. I have some serious concerns about one of the tests that Dr. Jafferji ordered, and wrote him a letter outlining those concerns. That was nearly three weeks ago. When two weeks had passed with no communication of any kind, I called his office and spoke with a decidedly unhelpful woman who lied to me to get me off the phone: she said that she was the person who reviewed the mail but had no memory of receiving my letter, though she admitted she might have, and would have forwarded it to the doctor if so. She promised to both contact the doctor and to have someone from the office follow up with me; that was four days ago and of course no one has done so. At this point I have no way of knowing if Jafferji ever saw my letter, or whether it has just been lost in an office where no one cares about communicating with patients. While he certainly came across as an understanding physician, I have been wrong about things like that in the past. However I also realize, after speaking with the very unhelpful woman, that he may never have seen it, and the dysfunction in that office is therefore such that he never will see it or be informed about it. In the end it does not matter which it is; the bottom line is a patient with real concerns has been completely ignored and left to twist in the wind with the clear message that his concerns are totally unimportant to a staff that has, evidently, better things to do than help their patients.

I then had to have my appendix removed, it was an emergency surgery and I was there over night. The plan of care was 1 to keep you in pain not get you out of it! The pain was so bad I could barely walk and my surgeon did not care. He Left me in pain and sent me home and my 1st night home was almost intolerable! He gave me basic meds and when I called into tell them how much pain I was in his response was she shouldn't be in pain so take Tylenol every 6 hours and deal with it. Mean time I have 3 incisions that are so bruised I can hardly tolerate anything touching my abdomen. When did it become ok to let patients suffer? Not only that, the communication in the office is absolutely terrible, you may need something and call in and never hear back! If you have an option, go elsewhere!!!

I have spent over $1000 to get scar tissue and lymp massage to see if it would help even it out. I called the office in 2009 to advise them and they did not seem very sympathetic and stated i may need to get it re-done and pay the $5000 or whatever I originally paid. Needless to say 9 years later and today its still uneven and have fat pockets that were never removed. I now live in San Diego and will most likely have the procedure re-done with a more experienced doctor to fix the lumps. My stomach looked better prior to lipo. I would not recommend this facility.

After a rough experience elsewhere, they took their time to understand my apprehension and wanted me to be as comfortable as possible, and also give me the best possible treatment for my acne scars; went above and beyond for me! I had three Pixel 8 treatments and an intense treatment of CO2. They provided me with follow up skincare, in depth instructions, follow up calls, and two follow up appointments! Every step of the way they took photos to see my changes! I was thankful for this thoroughness I didn't receive at the last office I worked with. My skin looks amazing! Few weeks later they send me a bill for $4000.00!!! Said the work done was NOT covered by ins. Got a notice that if it was not paid they will send to collections. Corp said local can stop it. Local said corp is the only one to do that. Ended up having to get a loan to pay. They can charge you whatever they want without your prior approval.

STAY AWAY 20 years…read moreago I worked in "admissions" for a for-profit college. I had a background in education and did not realize I was simply becoming a salesperson. Just like for-profit colleges are not real colleges, Aspen Dental is not a real dentist office, it is not a medical facility, it is a used car dealership selling you unnecessary dental care at shockingly high prices. I am not a regular dentist visitor. I go every few years. I brush twice a day. I floss regularly, I use antibacterial mouthwash. Every time I've visited a dentist they did a checkup and cleaned my teeth. Some attempted to sell me tooth whitening, some attempted to sell me invisible braces, but all of them provided basic medical care. My visit today was a rushed process. The dental hygienist started talking about a "deep clean" before she ever looked at my mouth. She rushed through an odd ceremony of calling out numbers while poking my gums. The dentist came in and half heartedly looked at my teeth while talking again about a "deep clean". I have actual tooth pain and he couldn't be bothered to go to the left side of my face to look at the tooth that was hurting. Everything would be solved by this magical "deep clean". Oh, and the hygienist and dentist never made an effort to position themselves so I could actually see their face while they were talking to me. Then the office manager came in. She took me to her desk to discuss this "deep clean". This is where I found out it was going to cost me $1400 AFTER insurance. I asked for just a regular clean and was told no. So I walked out. It was nothing but a sales job under the moniker of a dental office. I don't think the people in this office are evil. I have worked in high pressure sales before. They have a quota. They have to sell us "medical care". They are kind, but they are also stressed by corporate pressure to the extent they cannot care about the patient. Do the office staff a favor: STAY AWAY Go to a real dentist who will provide you real care. Utilize the free market so this place shuts down and the kind people who work there can get jobs at facilities that actually provide care instead of fleecing people who need help.

I called the morning of to confirm the appointment and ask how long it would take. I mentioned the time specifically. When we arrived on time for the appointment, we were told that the appointment was more than an hour earlier and we would have to wait more than an hour to be seen. It is a 45 minute commute each way. No courtesy reminders regarding appointments. Zero regard for the difficulty elderly patients face just in order to be at the appointments. Beyond frustrating.

This morning, Wednesday, I attempted to call for 30 minutes starting at 9:15 AM to no avail. Ludwick's answering system put me on hold for 10 minutes, so I disconnected and tried another phone number and was put on hold again for awhile. So I disconnected and tried a 3rd phone number and was put on hold for a long time when finally, I heard what sounded like a phone ringing and thought I would talk to one of Ludwick's reps. Instead, the phone rang and rang and rang,.... This painful phone interaction has happened to me when I attempted to call Ludwick a few months ago. It's an obvious pattern; I find it disrespectful of my time to be put on indefinite hold and I will not tolerate it. I am going to copy this comment and post it on whatever social media I can find. Ludwick's physicians seem good, but your customer service is atrocious.
