The father came for an initial inspection. The work was scheduled. The son and a helper came on time every time, and they've worked seamlessly and quickly together. And, the son possessed an encyclopedic knowledge of different types of wood and old house construction. They've refinished quite a few business in the decades of their business. They resanded the rooms in stages. I opted for the natural wood (no stain), and they applied 2 coats on top (last coat was glossy). We added the kitchen floor to the work since the original wood ran throughout the apartment. It was covered in a tar and even dustier than the first few rooms. The father has a strong opinion about his flooring and says to avoid the quality of flooring at Home Depot. As I'm gaining experience with renovation, it's absolutely true. However, depending on the budget, it may not be possible to go with his recommendation. It was an unhappy surprise to be charged $150 for moving a couple of items the first day. If they had warned me, I could've moved them in a few minutes myself. A warning would have been nicer. The work is very good, but I haven't seen the final bill yet.

I had water damage to one of my room upstairs due to a radiator leak. I wasn't sure if we needed to do just the 1 room or the whole upstairs since the wood is all connected. When I had spoken to him on the phone he said there may be a slightly different color if we do just the one room. So before he came out, I asked if he can get us both quotes. He came out when I wasn't home but my wife was. He didn't measure anything. Look at the room where the damage was and left. He didn't look at the rest of the upstairs. I didn't get a message for him so I texted him. He gave me a quote for the one room. I asked, do you have a quote for how much it would be for the whole upstairs. He said he didn't look at the other room upstairs. I described the size of the other room upstairs and he texted back with a quote. I asked if you can send me in writing the 2 quotes. He said he has to charge me $150 for the quotes. Then I said, "What? Why?" He never responded. Just in case he didn't see it, I text him again the next day. He didn't respond again. Extremely disappointed with him and his lack of response.

After installation I noticed two chips, which I accepted because we were right in the middle of Covid and I didn't know what else to do, but they neglected to mention that the small chip could eventually result in a full-fledged crack which is what happened. I don't know if or how this can be fixed because I have not been able to communicate with the owner. The cost was over $8000 and now the owner, German, refuses to take my many many calls or respond to my emails. I even asked my contractor to speak with him, but still no communication from German. This is what standing behind your work looks like??? Do not hire this company!! I can accept mistakes, but this level of service should be recognized for what it is ... negligence and theft.

Looked awful, impossible to clean, old finish chunks flaking up all over. Requested quote through Home Advisor, and Glenn called within the hour. Showed up on time as promised. Quote was competitive with the other. Emailed written estimate next day. World Class had 14 reviews from very happy customers, so we signed on. Work scheduled for a few days later, crew showed up on time with Glenn. Old finish ground down with almost no dust. They had plastic and bungee cords to cover the few pieces we had to leave outside (generator, cabinet). Moisture barrier applied after sweep up and vacuum. Dries overnight. Meanwhile we pick the finish from about a dozen choices on card-sized chips. This "color" is achieved through flake that is used to smother the next day's coating of epoxy. Crew shows up next day, applies epoxy and eight buckets of the flake finish. Dries overnight. Final day, on time, to clear away flake not embedded and apply the non-skid clear topcoat. Two days later, drive on to the amazing and easy to are for garage floor! Absolutely outstanding every step of the way.
