I have seven or eight teeth on the bottom that are missing their tooth that he was talking about putting a partial on didn't make any sense because what about the other six or seven that was on the bottom he didn't address those at all he just wanted to do the one partial with the one tooth and $2200. he also didn't address a broken tooth that I needed repaired so she went to go get her boss which is a manager lady that came back to talk to me who also does dental work and I asked her I said what about the other teeth on the bottom she said well why don't we just do a denture on the bottom and replace all those teeth? I think that's perfect. I think that way I can chew and I said what about the broken tooth she goes. Oh we can pull it. I said no I don't wanna pull it. I just want it fixed. She says OK well we can do that and do a crown. she comes back with an estimate of $1800. I said great let's do it. Dentist then comes in and tells me that he doesn't want to do the partial that he can't even guarantee I'll be able to eat on it that people don't like him it's a waste of my money so he said that he would make it for me, but he's not gonna be able to guarantee it would be comfortable that food won't get underneath it and that I can even chew with it Then he stop his hygienist in the hallway says what do you think about dentures? She rolls her eyes and says oh implants are so much better you know dentures you're not gonna be able to chew with them and everything else didn't make any sense to me. I decided to proceed with $1800 get all the teeth on the bottom fix the lady tells me that I can only get a partial once every five years so had I done what the Dr wanted me to do that would've given me one missing tooth and I wouldn't been able to do another one for five years, I would've been forced either out-of-pocket or do his implants like he keptpressuring me to do Anyways I go upfront I pay the $1800 and I make an appointment the more I thought about more mad I got so the next I called back and said you know if I would've done with the dentist recommended which was padding his pocket and not in my best interest cause I still couldn't chew. It was only replacing one tooth I would've been out all that money so I would like to cancel my appointment. She completely understood and said that she definently understood. I ended up getting my money back and today I get a nasty letter from the dentist telling me that he doesn't wanna be my Dentist anymore. Well, you don't have to worry about that cause I don't like dishonesty and I don't like people taking advantage of people because they don't know any better. I was very upset at the lack of honesty from this Dentist. He could have cared less about my ability to eat. I prefer to deal with somebody with integrity somebody that thinks about their patient first and somebody that puts the wellbeing of his patient before his fat wallet. Very disappointed because I really thought he was a good guy. Since then I found another dentist who was appalled and said implants were no necessary and a all around better experience
