BEWARE! Check your insurance explanation of benefits after you have a procedure at Boss. They over estimate the costs and do not send you a refund. If you don't notice the fact that they are keeping your money, they will keep it. If you do notice, you have to beg them for a refund and then are treated like a criminal. Very unethical! read more

BEWARE ZERO STARS!!! My husband and I moved from the northeast to Port Aransas. We both left our dentist in New Jersey and started going to Boss dental. We have our teeth cleaned every 6 months (it's what our private insurance covers) but occasionally we will pay out of pocket for an every 3 month clean because we love having the fresh dentist clean feel!! I had just been to my previous dentist 3 months prior and then came here. Boss told me I had 4 cavities and told my husband he had 2 cavities!!??? My husband being an emergency trained physician (which is why we came to Corpus in the first place for his new ER job) said "cavities don't pop up like that in 3 months, this guy needs to retire and stop scamming people." I brush my teeth 3 times a day, floss 1x a day and use a water pick 3x a week. I don't have any cavities, same goes for my husband but he has ONE filled cavity from when he was a teenager. Needless to say DO NOT GO HERE!! Oh, the best part is he told my husband and I that we need custom grinding mouth guards for when we sleep. Seriously? This guy is taking advantage of people!! Please see through his scams. No more than a snake oil salesman. Has anyone ever even checked if he has a real up to date dental license? Don't be scammed, he messed with the wrong people! I feel like reporting him!! Makes me so incredibly angry! How many of you have had your teeth drilled by him unnecessarily?? Now I fly back to NJ and go to my old dentist. After being a patient at this facility for many years, I went in for my regular cleaning and to mine and my husband's shock was informed I'm going to need a quadrant of new crowns at an out of pocket cost of $3000! Are you kidding me ? And that was after insurance . I sent my x-rays to my hometown dentist for a second opinion , and to say he was Floored was an understatement. Dr. Parkard is a very family friendly doctor, I am very anxious to get shots inside my mouth. The Assistant who helped me was wonderful. Once I was all numbed up on that side, Dr. Parkard came back in a timely manner, gave me the shot but did it a way my focus was in a different part of my mouth and once I realized he was giving me the shot already he was done. He is very professional how he talks to me and his assistants which I truly enjoy. He is very efficient and quick with any procedure. The assistants remember who my family is so I just don't feel like a number to them. They are best at what they do! Missed our appointment because I was sick with a note from the doctor. Called the day of my appointment to reschedule and some rude woman on the phone said since we were a new patient we could not reschedule and we would have to find another dentist. She answered like wanted to rub it in our face we missed the appointment for some reason? I don't know why you wouldn't reschedule someone even with a note from a doctor. I have been coming to boss dental since I was a kid. The staff and dentists here are really great. Everyone is very friendly and make you feel as comfortable as possible on a dental appt. good thing is they have tv's playing in each exam room which is a nice distraction. Another perk is since you usually make appts about six months out, about a week before you are frequently getting reminder texts messages to your phone of your appt date and time. I like that since I can be forgetful. And I can say I don't mind going to my next dentist visit! read more

I lost a filling about a week and a half ago and have been scouring Corpus Christi for a dentist since. I just moved to Corpus Christi a couple weeks ago, and this the third dentist I've been to in the past week to try to get this filling fixed and by far the best one of the three that I have visited. The front desk is very friendly and professional and will work with you however they can if you just communicate with them. The hygienist that helped me was very friendly and personable. Dr. Boss is the dentist that came to help me. My experience with him: #1: He's got one of those friendly personalities that just make you feel a little more at ease (which is a feat in itself, for me, because I have horrible dental anxiety even when getting something as simple as a routine cleaning). #2: He answered EVERY question I had and made sure I didn't have any left when I left his office. I had so many questions that I was surprised that he didn't just stop answering even when I asked the same question in different ways (multiple times). He never showed any hint of annoyance; no sign that my questions were dumb or bothering him, and he answered very positively, patiently, and surely. #3: This man knows his stuff and will happily teach you anything you may have reservations about so that you can feel more comfortable (HUGE plus for me) #4: I have horrible dental anxiety due to past experiences and will be getting a crown in a couple of days (I've never gotten one, so I'm more terrified than normal). Dr. Boss soothed my fears, and while I'm still anxious to have work done that I'm unfamiliar with, I'm not extremely scared; I feel almost ready to get it done!
