I first got a lash lift that left my lashes the exact same as when I walked in. Since I had another gift card, I figured I could come back and ask for the solutions to be left on for longer and possibly a different rod, but again the service just didn't work. Luckily I was given a discount without asking. I tried their dermaplaning service which was great and didn't disturb my skin at all. Lastly, I decided to give the mini mask a try. I have quite dry skin and thought this would be a simple solution for my concerns. However, I developed 2 really large and pus filled breakouts on each side of my face the next day. Unfortunately, it would have been better for me to stick to my routine at home. I can't say I would recommend these specific services. As a side note I was also a tad frustrated when I explained I was experiencing some acne since starting birth control (a common side effect listed for many different forms) and was told that was probably a coincidence and asked if I was washing my pillow cases enough by one of the estheticians. I was hoping that with skincare experts, I wouldn't have to explain that hormonal changes affect your skin.

I've only had great experiences, but they were at another location. When I moved to a different part of the cities this was the closest salon. I trusted them, and made sure to pick a stylist that had years of experiene doing a type of coloring that I hoped to get. I brought almost a dozen photo references, including photos of what I didn't want that I've had in the past. I was very clear on what I wanted and didn't, but the stylist seemed annoyed. She didn't even look at the photos. Several times through the service I voiced my concerns that I wasn't liking how it was turning out, but she kept reassuring me that it would look great. She was super rough brushing and blowdrying that it hurt, and the result looked exactly like my "do not" photos. I wanted ombre, but got chunky, streaky highlights that stopped an inch from my roots. They weren't blended or even symmetrical. They were copper yellow, not brunette. I told her I didn't like it and that it didn't look like the photos, and she argued with me that it did, that I shouldn't have tried this when my hair was colored previously (6 months prior), and in fact she loved it. I asked if it could be fixed, and she said I could only do another gloss but that wouldn't turn out well. I was so disappointed and discouraged. I'm not usually one to speak up, but I was so upset about the color and it was so expensive I had to. I cried in the car! When I called back, I felt like I wasn't being listened to, was argued with, and made to feel stupid like I didn't know what I was looking at. I went through several people up the chain before someone agreed to fix it. She was able to squeeze me in the next day, and was so caring and gentle I almost forgot the day before. But she only had time to blend it out and tone it down so it didn't look like I did it myself. So while they did fix it, I am hesitant to go back. I know everyone has bad days and mistakes happen, but how can a senior stylist who says they specialize in something do so poorly and then argue with me when I said I didn't like it? It was like I was being gaslit to not trust what my eyes saw.

This third party took my report. When I didn't hear from ME, I wrote the clinic manager back and she informed me that, "We did get the results from the investigation. The investigators determined that a Zero Tolerance Offense did not occur." 1. They're calling me a liar. They're not telling me that they could not reach a conclusion that warranted termination. They told me it did not occur. I appreciate the difficult and complex nature of claims like this but calling a customer a liar is definitely not on the list of acceptable responses. 2. They did not feel obliged to notify me that the investigation was complete and they were not taking action against the therapist. 3. When I responded that I wanted to terminate my membership immediately, the office manager told me that it would take ten days to process and my next membership dues would be withdrawn. I pushed for that 10 day processing time to be waived and she agreed. You are not safe at Massage Envy Edina.

We get called back, and it's a couples massage so me and my sister hear each others convos. My sister's massage therapist was kind and making sure she was comfortable. Mine asked if there were and areas I'd like her to focus on, I said lower back and shoulders. She spent more time on my legs and arms than my back at all. When she was working on my back, I asked about pressure, she said she was doing medium pressure. I requested more pressure, she ignored my request. She didn't respond nor did she change her pressure. Ending the massage, she hands me the glass of water and says.. you'll really want to schedule a massage, you're really tense in your shoulders.. I mean.. isn't that what I just did? Why did her giving me a massage for the last 55 minutes not help my tension in my shoulders? $140 wasted on this massage. Yes, I got to hang out with my sister, but didn't need to spend $140 to do that.
