Never in my life have I had such a struggle trying to make an appointment. My first mistake was…read moreusing a Groupon for a place that doesn't really exist. The sisters sometimes do appointments through their home and at other times through a salon they don't own. It took two months to find an available appointment. The day of the appt Brittany text to say that she was running behind. I let her know that would push me back too late and WE decided to reschedule. No worries. Well, another month passes and we can't seem to make the schedules work. I work M-F 7-5pm and the only available appts were during the day. How anyone expects clients to adhere to that schedule is beyond me. I requested a refund since this is obviously not working out. Brittany has me talk with the "owner" her older sister Jennifer. J. Adler has given me the most DISCOURTEOUS customer service of my life. She explains to me that due to the cancelled appt (that both her sister and I agreed upon) my Groupon is now void. She offers nothing in return. When I push, I am told that if I pay her $50 MORE then she can get me in. More I ask? Why would I pay more, when I can't even get the originally purchased service?? She is unpleasant, rude and takes her time with each snarky text response. I hate to be out $100 and so I push for a better resolve. I'm told that they will allow me the original Groupon if I wait until May, when their new salon is open. I agree. 4/17: I text to book a May appt. 4/18: I ask for a response and am told the salon is not open yet and they will be in touch. 5/2: I let them know I have an event at the end of the month and would like to book. No response. 5/11: I state that I have been trying to book since January and would really like to have this appointment booked. I ask them to please respond. 5/11: J. Adler's response: "Yes but you also canceled yours appointment at the last minute which normally waives your discount! and we are being KIND enough to let you still use your Groupon. I was going to have you use it at the new salon but its not open yet so you will have to see Britney at the salon in uptown. I will have her reach out to you today." I'm so glad they are being kind enough to let me continue to try and book 6 months later. I'm not sure what business model this young woman is trying to follow, but she will need to change her approach to customer service if she wants to be successful. I have very little faith that I will be able to book before my baby shower or anytime ever . I am so disappointed and upset that I've lost $100 to someone who clearly doesn't deserve it. I'm scared that even if I were to get in, that they would do such a poor job that I would end up having to spend even more money to have them redone elsewhere.

After getting lashes from Jennifer Adler, I had zero trouble with them. They looked great, felt comfortable and no more itchy eyes. The price for refills is very reasonable. Any questions I had (and I had a lot), were always answered to my satisfaction. She is always Professional and more knowledgeable than anyone I had went to before. I eventually became a hair client of hers as well. My friends tell me my hair has never looked better. After being greeted with a rough-looking, gum-smacking receptionist, I realized she was Claire, the stylist I booked an appointment with. Reluctantly, I sat down for my consultation. We discussed that I wanted a healthy trim of about an inch. She asked if I liked my longer layers and I said yes. As the appointment went on, I realized she was cutting a lot of hair. (Upon entering the salon, my hair was midway down my back and my first layer started at my shoulders.) She mentioned that my layers were cut strangely and so I figured she was cleaning it up. She kept cutting and cutting and I thought to myself "this is the most thorough cut I have ever had" but as it went on, it appeared that she kept trying to even up what she had just cut on one side of my head with the other side. It wasn't until I saw her take a LARGE amount of length of that I got really concerned. I proceeded to get a fair-at-best blow dry (the hairdryer was super hot on my scalp and I had to ask her to turn it down) and tried to remain calm when she showed me the final product. "Maybe once I style it myself it will look better" I thought. I live not too far away and I jetted home. I took another pass at it with my own tools and product and stood there in complete shock. My once flowing locks are now more like Jennifer Aniston circa 1995. I am beyond devastated that after I have been trying to grow my hair for years, it's now in the salon's garbage bin. I called the salon and spoke to Darrin, the owner. He was more than apologetic and offered me a full refund. He also did everything he could to assure me that that was not the type of experience he wanted for any of his clients. He listened and really seemed to care about my satisfaction. Unfortunately, it's too late and beyond repair. So, I don't think the salon itself is bad news, in fact, Darrin's customer service was incredible, but I would advise anyone to avoid Claire at all costs. I will be returning to my overpriced salon. On arrival, it was a pleasant surprise to see she does this out of her apartment (a nice one) and has everything on site. I was absolutely dreading a 5+ hour appointment in a typical salon setting lol. This was so much better, being in a home type of setting, very comfortable, and to top it off kitties!!! We talked about what I wanted done, she color matched and prepped stuff, and I watched her tutorial videos until she was ready. The best part, I got to stream movies and shows on her tv throughout the entire appointment. Epic. Fast forward 5ish hours, breaks as needed. I'm mind blown. I was absolutely stunned at the results! I had very damaged hair, she fixed it right up, and it looked all natural. She cut/styled at the end too. Idk how she does it, but I cannot say enough good things. I seriously could not have had a better experience. I will go out of my way, again, to go back to her for adjustments and whatnot in the future. These are super easy to take care of, and they actually made my hair grow out with a minimal amount of damage. My real hair has never been better. I intend to keep using west coast hair for all of my extension needs. If youre thinking about extensions, this is the way to go!!! And as an added bonus, the staff is amazing! Fell in love with the salon, Jon Englishs' wife even gave us a tour of the place. Beautiful and artistic decor! The salon closed shortly after we came in but they let us stay to ogle on the decor (it was very nice of them). We even met the owners dog (beautiful and very friendly!!!). As we walked and chatted I asked about the products and ended up purchasing 2 bottles of shampoo and the hair thickening styling mouse. I also asked the owner why her pup smells heavenly and she said she uses their shampoo on him. The product is clean from chemicals and safe to use on animals! I now share the shampoos with my two four legged pups and love the smell. One of the best purchase and have been ordering to ship to LA ever since.
