Roc Pedal Tours is a great addition to Rochester. I love the fact that you can play your own music and pedal the night away with passerbys honking and screaming love and support to us. I've been debating on whether to rate the experience 3 or 4 stars for 1 big reason; 2 hours just isn't enough time. We were only given ~30 minutes at each bar and felt rushed all the time. I was able to have 1 drink at each place, which is nice, but I had to drink them quickly. The reason I shied away from 3 stars is because it is a great time and I would definitely do it again. I think the company should offer 3 hour tours. I'd have no problem paying a couple more bucks for a longer, more relaxed experience.

When our kids asked us to go on a Pedal Tour we thought they were kidding. After all we are in our 80's. It was a blast to say the least. Phil, our driver. Couldn't have been more accommodating . His choices of pubs was brilliant. The first shop's signature was a Bloody Mary with an added touch of a little red wine and Guinness! With the music and all the waving to everyone going down Park Avenue it made for a delightful Sunday afternoon.

This experienced exceeded our expectations! Our guide, Matt was incredible and went out of his way to make the experience wonderful. I took my work team on this pedal tour for a team building event and it turned out to be everything we wanted and more. I can't wait to do this again and will share my experience with other departments in the company. If you're on the fence about doing this, take my word for it and pull the trigger. You won't regret it!!

I've been sitting on this review for awhile because it's a bit... awkward. But here goes! I'll preface this by saying I did my first pedal tour last summer and our driver was amazing. After our last stop/as we biked back to the meeting spot he classily pointed out the tip jar and everyone was eager to throw money in. Furthermore, if he HADN'T pointed out the jar we would have sought it out because the service was that wonderful. Now onto my recent experience... a group of coworkers and I got together for an outing and the tour itself was a blast. Bars were so much fun, the time on the bike was structured in solid intervals, and everyone was sad when it was over. However, even before the tour started I was put off by the driver. As the organizer I was told I would receive a phone call the week of to discuss my route. The day before the tour I realized I never got that call, so naturally I called them. I believe it was the owner who got back to me (and who also ended up being our driver the next day) and I immediately found his tone condescending. I understand that the employees give the same instructions many times a day and often deal with rowdy/drunk customers but I don't think that's an excuse to talk to everyone as if you're reciting from a script and with the tone of a parent talking to a child. I mentioned it to a couple coworkers but they convinced me I was reading too much into it so i let it go... Until the day of the tour when 3 people came up to me at the first bar and said "wow I can't stand the way he's talking to us!" and I knew I wasn't crazy. Fast forward to the end of the tour. Again, I want to reiterate that everyone had fun, but it really had nothing to do with the driver. That being said, no one was begging for the tip jar. Nor did he pass it around or point it out. After we finished and got off the bike I remembered to look for the jar and went and threw a decent tip in simply out of principle. I didn't think much of it and I went on to spend time with my coworkers. Not even 15 minutes later I received a text from the owner not-so-subtly telling me he expected more of a tip. Essentially he said "an $8 tip for 12 people made me want to check" that everyone had a good time. I was absolutely floored. First off, at least 3 others (in addition to me) said they put a $5 in there, so I have no idea where his figure came from or why he thought it was appropriate to word it like that. But bottom line for me was how could someone feel so entitled to extra compensation when they couldn't even bear to speak to the customer respectfully? Not to mention you can't expect 12 people under the influence to notice the tip jar all the way at the front seat of the bike at the END of the excursion. Overall I found the whole thing uncomfortable and unprofessional. I'd love to do a pedal tour again, but i would likely take my business elsewhere. It seems like this is a very rare bad service experience and I hope that remains the case.

Thank you to Phil for an absolute great time!

Personalized and professional motorcoach tours can be a great way to sit back and enjoy your surroundings without the worries of navigating a new area. If you're struggling to plan every stop on your next vacation, allowing a professional company to arrange a motorcoach tour outing for your group will undoubtedly make your trip one to remember. Check out a few great reasons to plan one: * Reduce Stress: Rest and relaxation are hallmarks of any great vacation, but you can't expect to truly decompress and soak in the sights if you're concentrating on driving the entire trip. Motorcoach tours allow you to kick back and enjoy the scenery, landmarks, and events without any road anxiety. * Environmentally Friendly: Because of a more energy-efficient engine, a fully loaded tour bus is less impactful on the environment than a fully loaded car. The efficient and green engines also help to reduce emissions, meaning you can sight-see to your heart's content without carrying any carbon footprint guilt. * Time Efficient: Worrying about the best route to get to your destination or getting stymied by unexpected road construction and detours are problems of the past when you book motorcoach tours. Set sail for True Love, a truly enjoyable time!…read more Bottom Line Up Front: We had a wonderful, relaxing, and fun time for a good price. The Good: The history of the John Alden designed schooner is worth reading before you go. We had some more "salty" members of our group that recognized the name of the schooner from the 1956 movie "High Society" starring Bing Crosby, Gene Kelly and Frank Sinatra and after that we were on board for a wonderful time. We even were seated in the seats once occupied by Gene and Bing. We purchased our tickets after being approached by Terry who negotiated a decent price with us because he wanted a full boat for the next trip. Captain Bill was an experienced Captain and is well known in the area. He got us underway and was a delightful host regaling us with stories about the "True Love", Seneca Lake and surroundings, as well as, some stories about racing the "True Love" and his crew, Spencer and Marena. Captain Bill even assisted another sailing boat that was in distress and precariously close to the lake edge. The trip was two hours long and on time. The crew served non-alcoholic and adult beverages (some free, some for a price) while underway and also sold some souvenirs (Whisky and glasses). The Bad: There was nothing bad, from start to finish, this was a very enjoyable trip and the crew definitely enjoyed sharing their love of the "Trie Love" with the joyful passengers. The Ugly: Absolutely nothing other than we could not be out for longer. If you find yourself in Watkins Glen, this is definitely an enjoyable to kick back, relax, and let the wind fill your sails. They say a picture is worth 1000 words, so I am going to end my post with a few that we snapped along the way. May you have fair winds, and following lake waters!
