Plenty of parking, charming location, and gorgeous natural scenery and rock with the park built to complement and draw upon what nature has already done. Lover's Leap is stunning and my favorite of the 4 paths was Hall of the Mountain King. This place is amazing. Touristy? Sure. But worth it. You can tell the amount of attention to detail and love that went into developing every part of this place. Nothing is looked over. Even the sidewalks have small design elements built in. Love! This brought me back to the years of my childhood spent climbing rocks and building dams in our creek in rural Virginia. Let the imagination run wild!

They also had a bunch of t-shirt shops, ladies clothing shops, to toy stores for the kiddos. Downtown, you'll also notice a train (where you can take either a 2 hour or 4 hour ride....in the nicer weather months and during higher peak times like spring break, I'd recommend purchasing your tickets online, as they sell out regularly). The downtown area is walkable, but there is a bit of a hill, so beware for those that may have mobility issues. This is def worth a trip if you're staying the area, get out stretch your legs, and shop locally. Also, be on the lookout for their free range roosters and chickens that you'll hear regularly downtown and you'll be able to figure out why the chicken did cross the road.

The dinosaur is a popular spot with tourists for photos and selfies. There is a sign in front of the dinosaur that says: Hello! My name is Stella. I am a baby Stegosaurus. My species names comes from the Greek words stego and sauros meaning "Roofed Lizard." I have 17 plates on my back I use to absorb heat fro the sun during the day to keep me warm at night. I lived during the late Jurassic period (about 150 million years ago) Although when grown I am around 9 meters (30 ft) in length, 4 meters (14ft) in height and up to nearly 5 metric tons in weight, my brain is only the size of a dog's. The stairway is a back-and-forth walkway from the landing in front of the museum down to the Martin Amphitheater underneath the bridge or continue on to the Riverwalk. Tennessee, State of…read more Tennessee is an absolutely beautiful state. I've spent many memorable times in Tennessee with my daughter, my family and my friends. I've got two cousins that live in Tennessee. It's a great state to retire. I find that the cost of living is inexpensive compared to the Northeast. I've camped out and hiked in Eastern Tennessee. There's still cities I want to visit. Maybe next lifetime. If you like to travel I recommend you plan a trip touring the parks and historic places in Tennessee. Just be safe up in the mountains!!
