Memorial Day Weekend for the past two years my kids and I have stayed here. We liked the personal…read moreroom Vibe. With the dedicated parking spot in front. Well kept, clean room, with cozy beds. Microwave, Mini Frig, T.V with Cable. Small coffee pot set up. A desk, table 2 chairs. Hangers and luggage rack. There is a great Pool which is a big perk. Unfortunately, this year was to cold to swim. We had swam last year and it was great! There is a Supermarket across the street and the beach not far at all. The motel provides an informative binder. The town center is actually within walking distance for most people about 1/4 to 1/2 miles away. Becareful though, the road in front of the property, at the traffic lights gets very busy. We witnessed a bad car accident while waiting to cross the street, the 1st year. A Continental Breakfast with delicious homemade muffins is served every morning. To be totally transparent and give a 100% honest review these next things were a few minor issues that only happened our last visit. The water pressure in the shower was very slow. No shower liner, (not the problem) the fabric curtian got soaking wet and wet the whole floor, causing a slipping hazzard. The soap and shampoo/conditioners weren't filled. We were supposed to be given a second key that was never dropped off. Had the T.V. shut off at about 10pm while we were watching, out of nowhere. I called the office to let the staff know and got a NOT my problem response, that I wasn't excepting. This year we had tried to book 2 days again, but only one was available. We decide to take the 1 night and pay more then we would have elsewhere. No sure about next year.

We finally made a stop here after saying we would try out this beach for years. We loved it! But…read morefor reference, we actually prefer corporation beach (although this is a close second!) We came @730 and that was a smart choice because by 830 I am pretty sure the lot was completely full. This beach gets *packed* and felt more congested than corporation even during both their peak busy times. Low tide is very cool, it's a pretty far walk out to water though but the tide pools and sandbars were fun. The water comes in quickly and then there's pretty much no "sand" space at all. Bathroom, snack bar and foot wash stations are always a plus. I was disappointed not to find any hermit crabs here though? I found one the entire time but corporation has a ton of little creatures to find. The waves were a little rougher than I would have liked. All in all, still fantastic! But the lack of hermit crabs and "space" leaves me loving this beach just slightly less than corporation.

You also have to stay for sunset because it is absolutely beautiful!! The sand is super white & soft, minimal rocks, very clean, & bathrooms are tidy. Great beach to go with family and friends! Parking was $30 last summer, not sure if it will go up for this summer. It's also not too far down in the Cape, which is great for if you're playing to do a day trip to the beach.

We have a 4 year old & 1.5 year old, both beach bums. I researched which Cape beach to go to for…read morehours. Mayflower Beach seemed great but I read there was a lot of seaweed. Coast Guard Beach seemed great also except for the fact that we would have to park and then take a shuttle to the shore. We decided on this beach, which seems to have the same feel as Coast Guard. We got there at about 945am on a Tuesday morning in August. There were only a handful of parking spots left at The Beachcomber. Parking was $30 but we got a voucher to use toward food or souvenirs from The Beachcomber (the food and mixed drinks there were very good). The beach is accessible by a pathway on a sand dune that is tall and steep. Going down was easy. Going back up required a few rest stops for me. I'm pregnant and I was carrying our 1.5 year old. It probably would've been easier for me had I not been pregnant but this is definitely not a trek for anyone with physical limitations. My 4 year old went up and down twice but her legs were really burning the 2nd time going up. This is one of the best beaches I've ever been to. Sapphire water and soft sand. Quiet crowd and limited cell service, which added to the relaxation. The shore is a little rocky but doable without water shoes. Once you walk into the water a few feet from the shore the rocks give way to soft sand. The water was cold. I almost felt like I was taking an ice bath. But it felt great once I got acclimated and really helped me cool down in the 85 degree weather. It was a really special experience and so picturesque. One important note: there is a danger of sharks because of the booming seal population. We saw seals in the early afternoon swimming playfully about 20 feet from shore. Some locals will not get in the water if they spot seals-- that means sharks could be nearby. There were lifeguards on duty and also a shark patrol boat along the coast but it's still a little scary! The current got very strong in the early afternoon. I'm used to the crashing waves at the Atlantic beaches in NY and this undertow concerned even me.

The Cape Cod National Seashore is absolutely stunning…read more I love the majestic dunes that keep you from seeing civilization when you are down on the beach at Cahoon Hollow. This beach is such a peaceful spot and very relaxing. I grew up and spent most of my life on the east coast, but since moving to California, I have visited many of the notable beaches between San Diego and San Francisco. With that said, Cahoon Hollow is still one of my favorite beaches in the United States. I have generally visited Cahoon Hollow in May-June or September-October when parking is usually free and the beaches are not very crowded. I recommend trying to visit at those times. This is another GREAT beach for sitting on and spending the day OR for taking a nice long stroll. You could walk for miles. I recommend packing a lunch, snacks and beverages. There are 2 negatives to this beach: 1. Parking is pricey in the summer. 2. It's a VERY steep walk to get down to the beach. **Lecount Hollow is another equally stunning beach that is located right next to Cahoon Hollow.**
