Beautiful sights ESP at sundown! You can get in free after 4 PM. It does get a bit chilly so wear long sleeves. Wear sandals because the boardwalk leads to the beach.

The iconic Sandwich Boardwalk, constructed in 1875, is about 1/4 mile long, & offers views of dunes & salt marshes. It's one of National Geographic's Top 10 Boardwalks in America. In Summer crowds gather @ the center during high tide & jump into Mill Creek. Hurricane Bob destroyed the Boardwalk in 1991. It was rebuilt with support from locals, whose names and messages are inscribed on the planks leading to a broad sandy beach on Cape Cod Bay.

A beautiful planked path that leads down to a beach. Great for a nice day out walking.

Would be more 3.5 stars for me. Beach parking was less than others in cape cod($14 vs others…read more20-30/day). Would download the parking app ahead of time. The app prompts you not to pay until you get there as you may not have a spot even if you already pre-paid. Pros: bathroom facilities and outdoor showers Snack bar if needed Parking cheaper compared to other beaches on the Cape For us this beach was much closer to where we were staying. Cons: Water was freezing(mid 60s). This may be also viewed as a pro as it felt really cooling after being in it but does take time to get used to. The kids in the group had a hard time venturing any further than knee height. Walk to and from parking lot/ bathroom was a little long. The sand can be a little pebbly.

I live in MA and drove 1 hour to Scusset Beach during the 2nd week of July, 2026. The weather was…read moreperfect - perfect for a beach day : hot, sunny, clear blue sky. The beach itself was nice enough: decent sand, not rocky, not an over abundance of seaweed. That's where the enjoyment ended. That beach had a constant barrage of biting flies that annoy the crap out of you. They are small, relentless, painfully bite, and leave itchy marks where they bite. We stayed for 3 hours to try to get our $14 (parking fee) worth but after that, we left. I'll never go back since I now know those biting flies are an issue there and have been for years. Two thumbs down and I cannot recommend Scusset Beach to any beach goer who wishes to have a lovely day at the beach. Side note : the water was so cold also, with zero waves and contained floating seaweed. Terrible.

Last week was my third time renting a cottage from Beach Realty. I can't say enough about how…read moreawesome these rentals are! First of all, location, location, location! Oceanfront with private beaches. Next, the houses range from modest cottages that sleep 4, to huge homes. Something in everyone's price range. The houses are clean and well-stocked with all the necessities. You can bring your own linens or you can rent anything you can't (or don't want to) bring. And finally, the fun as well as the peace and quiet! Beach Realty enforces the occupancy limit so if you are looking to rent a party house and cram a lot of people into it, this is not the place for you. But if you are looking for a house, large or small, to share with family and friends, it's a perfect area. Lots to do including kayaking, swimming, boating, shopping, or just hanging out on your very private beachfront. Love them!

We've gone through Beach Realty for years as our property management company for our summer rental…read morehome and have always had nothing but exceptional service and a great experience. Our home would be rented almost entirely by January, with high quality, well-vetted renters filling our home weekly for the entire summer. Their fee is relatively high but fair, considering they do all of the work and we never needed to interface in any way with our renters. They also were helpful with recommending local services as needed and made great suggestions to improve the overall desirability of our home for rental. I'd recommend going through Beach Realty for all rental needs. They are true professionals with a real pulse on the East Sandwich/upper Cape housing and rental market.
