I'm not really sure why this is legal and mgmt's justification is that counsellors receive tips at the end of the summer. (Thank you for subsidizing some of the salaries,) but there are many committed young people who work very hard to make ever camper's summer an amazing one don't share in those tips. I'm sure the owners are doing quite well and it's a shame that a part of their success is a result of taking advantage of The young people who are so dedicated to making Kiwi a success.

Resident camp is offered to students from Long Island each summer so they can experience all these wonders. Day camp is offered for summer and school vacations. Camp Herrlich serviced children during pandemic by offering a safe supervised situation for them as they learned virtually. The camp is very connected with the community and is always available to help with local fund raisers for anyone in need. The campus is gorgeous and extremely well run. You could not do any better than this wonderful situation as you strive to enrich your children year round. His counselor was Matthew and my son came home talking about him each day. He loved the bead program and the counselors are all so engaged and committed to ensuring the campers adjust well. I was so impressed with every administrator I came in contact with as well. He wasn't in to swimming so they gave him other options during that time whereas another camp made him sit in the grass for 45 minutes and watch the other kids swim. A true CAMP experience!!!

Food is included in the price and it is buffet style for breakfast and lunch. Dinner is not but you are more than welcome to order more and take things to go. There's snacks available between lunch and dinner but there's also hot chocolate/coffee available all day long with some pastries. The only downside were the rooms. They are connected so if you have loud neighbors, you won't be getting good sleep. Overall, my kids loved the place and want to go back soon. My child was bullied and physically assaulted and the Director did nothing about it. I asked for specifics of how the situation would be handled going forward as this was not the first time my child was harmed by this other camper and she refused to give me any plan. I said well if you can't give me a plan the next time it happens I will have to call the police. the Director then hung up on me and the late in the next day (Saturda) she sent an email telling me that my kids were kicked out of the camp and not allowed to go on the sleep away portion week that they were already packed for and excited to go on that Monday. The owners of the camp also refused to call me or email The situatio. Summer trails let the bully win and my kids were victimized by the bully the Director of Summer Trails ! the Director is the most evil human being I have come across in my life! Stay far away from this place!
