Wow. Two things first. The prices are NOT there because they're hella expensive. It takes forever to make a drink. This is because they're huge and wild looking. Two stars are for the amount of time it takes. I got a coffee (I don't eat sugar) while my family got ... I think they're called Freaks. They're like milk shakes on crack. My wife got a single scoop. Took half an hour to get our items, including the wife's two scoops. My coffee? 45 minutes. She said she was sorry that she had the ground the beans. I'm so confused. What an amazing addition to the Rock Island community! The Trolly Stop is a fun spot to hang out at and you can tell by the way people fill the whole space out! They've got games and lots of tables. The whole set up is aesthetically pleasing, and It's super close to one of the most beautiful parks. The trolly stop is the place to be on the weekend, but if you're concerned about wait times I'd recommend going on a weekday instead. I've never waited more than 5 minutes on the weekday. I have tried a few of the freak shakes and they are all works of art! The boba smoothies are out of this world. I tried Cantelope this week and had the popping kiwi bobas. Incredible! If you're creative, this menu is your wonderland! I have so many more combinations of stuff I still want to try! We visited the Rock Island Trolley Stop to hear Shattered, a band we stumbled upon that we really enjoy. Rock Island is a really cute place to stop by and enjoy some Blue Bell ice cream or enjoy one of their creative milkshakes. They also have small food items, like panini's and chips. On their property they had a couple of corn hole boards and I think I saw a big Connect 4 game. There are tables and an outdoor fireplace that was under an overhang. Shattered played under a stage located in an area a little behind the Trolley and it looked to be newly constructed with an overhang as well. It was the last outdoor show for the season & we look forward to stopping by next spring/summer. It's a great place that looks like it would be poppin when all the outdoor recreation is going on! Stop by when driving through, just take care and stay on the white gravel when pulling or leaving. There's a ditch where the gravel is NOT. We were told this place has the best ice cream in the country. We really expected something special. We were extremely disappointed! It's Blue Bell ice cream. Don't get me wrong, I live in Texas, I like Blue Bell. But I was wanting a quaint local ice cream shop. The person who waited on us was so rude! And the music was so loud we couldn't visit. Fun little spot! Always expanding to have family friendly activities. When the weather is nice it's a great place to hang out, or grab a treat after hiking at rock island. Delicious milkshakes. They take a minute to make so don't come if you are in a hurry, but we're lucky to have such a cool shop in a small town! read more

Freak shakes are really cool looking and the location is awesome. Prices seemed reasonable for the shakes (similar shakes are twice as much in the city). However, the ice cream has no flavor. The freak shakes look good, but still needs to be good tasting ice cream. They also need to work on their speed. They seem to have no since of urgency when filling orders. This was our 2nd visit, but only our 1st time getting shakes. We left the 1st time because they told us it would be an hour for them to make our shakes. Super cute ambiance. Love the games available to play. Unfortunately, the service here is absolutely despicable. We ordered peach ice cream, strawberry ice cream, a mango smoothie, and a few other scoops. Got half our order wrong and didn't even GIVE US THE OTHER HALF of our order. So after awkwardly standing there being ignored at the dumb trolley lady, someone finally gave us the rest of our order. My son decided to get a soda and a funnel cake after he had his scoop. After 20 minutes of them serving every other patron their order, of course they DIDN'T HAVE A FUNNEL CAKE TICKET... no record of his order..... Super easy to take our money but can't lift a hand to scoop ice cream of the correct flavor or be bothered to actually fulfill an order. I'd understand if it was actually a busy environment. But... there were literally 4 other people there. I'm pretty sure the only prerequisite for working at this establishment is to be able to breathe. Brain cells not required.
