after having numerous problems with my compounded pharmacy I opted to go to rock Ridge not only were they attentive to my prescription needs but their follow up was excellent and when I arrived I was greeted by someone twice and then when I picked up my prescription the attendant explained how to use it and how to file with my insurance company for a refund. Our family has been Rock Ridge Pharmacy customers since we moved to Glen Rock in 1994. Pharmaceutically speaking - excellent, knowledgeable & personal service. Occasionally, the wait time at the pharmacy desk is too long (this time there was no wait). I like that we receive texts when our prescription is ready. (I think this is new.) The gift shop portion is well stocked and managed. I'm looking forward to the renovation that has been promised for the past two (?) years. The building is in dire need of an upgrade. read more

This small town family pharmacy is the best. When I needed to get my Moderna booster and all of the CVS/Walgreens/RiteAid/Valley Health systems were booked up and complicated to deal with Rock Ridge was amazing. I was in and out in no time and the staff was polite, said hello and goodbye. I'm switching all of my pharmacy needs to them as it was so refreshing to have such amazing personal service. The pharmacy has all the vaccines and boosters you need. While other bigger pharmacies had no vaccine availability, Rock Ridge did. The staff was friendly and they had a great system to get you in and out. While waiting, we were able to walk around the store and shop. read more

We have been customers of Rock Ridge Pharmacy for years. Granted, there are much, much, much larger pharmacies in the area. Walgreens, Rite Aid and a plethora of CVSs are literally a 5 minute drive from here. And while the competition certainly offers more in the way of variety, they cannot touch Rock Ridge's service. Quite simply said, they are outstanding. My father has many medical issues and requires a lot of medication. Compounding his difficulties are physical limitations that require him to walk with a cane and have several household contraptions to make getting around easier. Rock Ridge has provided him with all of these. They have also explained at great length how to use them as well as his options. His prescriptions are filled quickly and accurately. If something is not ready, we have never waited longer than a few minutes. Granted, if you are looking to browse deodorants or toothpaste and need to make comparisons, this might not be your place. I assume that these items can also be acquired elsewhere at some savings. But like I've said before, it's not always about price or selection; it's about service. If we have a question about anything, the pharmacist and staff are more than willing to assist. Worth mentioning is also their selection of gifts, cards and toys. When I'm not in the mood to fight mall traffic, they are a great spot to go. I purchased several last minute things for friends, including a mechanical peek a boo teddy bear for my friend's son's first birthday that was actually a few bucks cheaper than Toys R Us. Go figure. These days it seems like large stores are constantly swallowing their smaller competitors. In Glen Rock, for example, right across the street from Rock Ridge, my absolute favorite hardware store closed, undoubtedly a casualty of Loews & Home Depot. Yet, when CVS moved in literally next door to Rock Ridge, I don't think they flinched. Their business is still thriving with a loyal clientele that anyone would be proud to call their own. As we all know it is hard to give medicine to a cat, but Rock Ridge has made it much easier for us over the years by compounding medicine in a flavor (usually chicken) that the cat receiving the medicine liked. I've been coming here for years with few issues. However, their operations and service need improvement. They have a service where they reach out to your vet for a refill on perscriptions for your pet. They have been doing it for years and it's a great service - being a customer here, I've come to depend on Rockridge to handle this portion of the process of refilling perscriptions for years smoothly. Fast forward to yesterday, I called to ask for a refill and I was told it would be ready. If there were no refills, they always let me know that there aren't any left. This has been protocol for years. 24 hours later when I come in to pick up the medication, I'm told the medication is not ready because there were no refills and when I let them know they should have told me (as they have been doing for years), they attempted to take the high road and tell me if i care about my pet, I should have been on top of it. When I asked why they didn't let me know there were no refills as per usual, they kept washing their hands from the situation and pinning it on me without a direct answer to the question. Seriously? All they had to do was let me know there were no refills left when I called. What a joke. read more
