Vijaya, Meena, Peter and Nancy always greets us with a smile, they're kind, cordial and highly knowledgable. They expedite our prescriptions while we wait and most of the times it's ready by the time we stop by. These folks are outstanding. I would have given it 5 stars, but I gave it 4 instead, because the manager won't allow patrons to use their restroom, she said it's for employees only. I've been coming to this Duane Reade for years and my commute home takes about 90 minutes and I am in need to use the restroom by the time I arrive to pick up my medication, but she tells me to go to Starbucks to use it instead. I mean, I am a customer of Duane Reade NOT Starbucks. How ridiculous is it not to allow or have restroom for patrons? Instead of simply addressing whether the prescription could be filled, I received a phone call with what I felt were excessive and unreasonable questions about my prescriptions and medical treatment. Unfortunately, this isn't my first experience like this with Walgreens. I previously had a similar problem at the Walgreens on Main ave CLifton, NJ. It felt as though every possible obstacle was being created to avoid filling a legitimate prescription rather than trying to help a patient who was in significant pain. The entire experience left me extremely uncomfortable and frustrated with how these pharmacies handle certain medications., TO TOP THIS OFF, THEY DID NOT GIVE ME MY MEDICATIONS. I also have serious concerns about why patients are being put through this process and believe Walgreens management should review these practices closely. I am not accusing any particular employee of wrongdoing without evidence, but the experience was concerning enough that I believe the handling and accountability surrounding these medications deserves scrutiny.
